manager drunk
i am a salon owner, and i visit or should say i did shop there almost daily until i asked for help from the new manager. she was sitting in the back room and said she was busy doing paperwork, well i keep looking around waiting on assistance i looked in the back room and she was drinking a beer and smoking a cigg. not sure what her name is something like misty, she is new and so country rude its sick. i will never be back in there again!
could not return hairpiece that clerk said matched my hair
I asked the clerk for a mirror to see if the hairpiece matched my hair. She handed me a mirror not much bigger than a postage stamp. I could not really see it so I asked her if it matched, she said it did. I took it home and held it in front of my hair at the mirror, not even close! I bought it at closing time on a saturday, I attempted to return in when they opened the next day and they told me they do not allow refunds on hairpieces because they couldn't tell if I had worn it or not. Give me a break it had this really big tag attached. I will never buy anything from sally beauty supply again! They just wanna take your money and apparently don't care about keeping their customers.
I work at Sally Beauty as well and encounter many customers who purchase hair, even against my own advice - I am not a "licensed" cosmetologist, but as a makeup artist and someone whose been cutting and colouring hair since the age of twelve (nine years), I certainly know what I'm talking about. It sounds like the author of the complaint expects that her own inability to match a hair piece to her own hair is the employees' fault and not her own. It is the company policy to not allow returns/exchanges on hair, do not blame the employees who earn around 7.50-8$ an hour. The customer is not always right, sometimes the customer is an idiot who cannot make their own decisions.
uh, i think she was talking about not being able to return a hairpiece...
i agree with the comment above. it is not the sales associates job to make your hair turn out how you want it to. most of the people working for sallys DO NOT have cos school expierence. Also there is a lot that goes into coloring your hair other than just color and developer. if you had been coloing your hair with cheap box color from a drug store then changed to professional color there is a high chance that your hair is not going to come out how you think. My advice to you is to just go get a claifying treatment it will tone it down but to completley get it out you will have to bleach your hair unless yyou used a demi perminent, which you should have in the first place when trying something new. People are so quick to blame other people for there own mistakes. Oh i forgot to mention that i worked for sally beauty and manager or sales associates are NOT allowed to tell you what color to get you need to choose that on your own everyones hair is different soo the results will all be different.
I work at a sally beauty supply, for one it says on the PACKAGE clear as day that you cannot return or exchange hair, there was your first clue, second it says on the RECIEPT that you cannot return or exchange it. Also, there are plenty of mirrors big enough in that store to see if it matches your hair. Don't get mad at the store because you got screwed by ONE employee who didn't know how to do their job.
I also work at Sally beauty Supply and the one thing people should begin to do is SHOP FOR THEMSELVES. You knew that the hair was non-returnable so why get upset? People can put it in, wear it for the evening, then put it back into the package and say, "Hey! it's not the right color! I don't want it!" A solution is to color the hair to match your color.
I worked at Sally Beauty Supply and I know that in the store they have plenty of mirrors and if you were really concerned about it matching then you would have found a mirror big enough for you to see yourself in it. You cant bring those hairpieces back because its unsanitary, so pretty much its your own fault for not making sure it was the right colour before you purchased it, plus on the box it tells you that those are non returnable items. Would you want a hairpiece in your head that someone else that you didnt know wore before you bought it? I know i definately would not want that, so stop complaining and whining like a little ### and dont blame sally's for you not being smart enough to match ur hair with the wig.
I'M SEXY!
How would you feel if you bought a hairpiece and ended up catching head lice. Let me guess you would be mad about that wouldnt you? I guess you dont know that not returning hair is actually a state law!
I'm sorry about your hair piece, but if you did not notice the box has a sticker put on by the store and a label printed by the factory on it that says "No Returns on Hair" not only that it is also clearly stated at the bottom of your reciept.
They cannot take hair back because is violates federal health code. perhaps instead of getting pissed at sally beauty supply you should contact the maker of the hair and suggest that they package it in a way that makes it easier to see if it matches your hair or not.
customer service
Just walked out of a Sally's store number 03156 in Spring Texas. Never have I received such poor customer service. The cashier (who claimed to be the manger) made a very simple mistake as she rung up my order. When I pointed it out to her, she became very noticeably upset and argumentative. I had to ask her to pull out the calculator and count each item one by one to show her where the mistake was made. Finally she realized what she did, but I never received an apology after 25 minutes of disputing the charge. I finally requested a full refund for all my purchases. I am never going to shop at Sally’s. I am choosing Ulta or Wal-Mart for all my beauty purchases in the future.
I Purchased some hair braiding items from sally that i soon realized my stlist could no use.
I to the forrestville location to make an exchange for what i needed
I waited at the front counter for about 5 minutes befoe makin my way to the back for help .
Finally a woman appears to help, when i told her i need to exchange she called another lady
this second person told me ther as nothing she could do for me, so i asked for a manager, only to find out the first person i talked to was the manager
it was the worst customer service ever, so little professionalism
in the end they didnt have much selection in hair, so i went to the beauty suply store right next door!
There is no location on my receipt, but I did the best I could describing where it is located. I was recently introduced to the beauty supply house and found that the person I was introduced to was Samantha, at the Mitchell, New Port Richey store. She was polite and asked if she could help me, and I told her she could. I needed to find combs that were on sale, and also to find nail products. I was the only one at the store at the time. I am physically handicap and always need help. People arrived at the store, and she left me at the comb counter.
I repeatedly asked her if she could help me for I am not a hairdresser or nail technician. She told me that she had customers at the register and was NOT a hairdresser or nail technician and could not help me. I stood there while she waited on six people. I again asked her for her attention, and she told me "
she could not.
I have been in sales most of my life, and to hear about her mother and father and the fact that she was only eighteen years old, was inappropriate. I am from New Hampshire, and there are always two or more girls at the counter who are nice and always ready to assist you especially when you are handicap. They are wonderful.
This store has so many different people working at the register, and there is always a sign on the door for help. Is this store a professional supply house? Is there suppose to be a qualified technician on hand? I am so disappointed every time I go into the store. I find that this chain needs some business acumen. Backdoors are always open, any creature could enter, and it is not a safe haven.
Would you please refer this e-mail to someone who services this store, and the hazards the store presents from help to open containers in the back of the store.
If the threat/harassment took place inside the store and I am a customer, and the person who threatened and harassed me during a visit was the store's general (main) manager, where can I report this? I was a customer and was polite and respectful during the visit. This started when I asked the manager to adjust an issue for me which a staff member caused earlier. The manager was very ghetto and started showing attitude and cursing saying this is very inconvenient for her to adjust (she just had to scan the receipt and credit me the adjustment amount). I remained polite while pointing out the error, but she got down to using offensive curse language and when I asked her the name so I can have it for reference and report it to the supervisor for cursing and the language issue, she threatened to steal my personal info and credit card info from the store's computer and also threatened police. This was too much and I wanted to report this. I contacted Sally's customer care /corporate office by emailing them, however got no reply. When I called corporate a day later, I was told this issue is forwarded to their "Legal department" and someone from there should be contacting me shortly, its been almost 2 weeks since my email, and I called them 2-3 times in between but they keep saying they don't have a direct line for their legal dept and Ill just have to wait to be contacted. But nothing yet. I don't even think the corporate office knows what to do in this situation, they still have the employee there who is actively stealing customer's information from their store computers but they are clueless and keep stalling from having to address this issue.
I went into Sally beauty Supply to purchase hair care products with my student cosmetology card. I had been there 2 days prior using the same card. The employee Brandy Kristie stated my card was inactive although My card clearly had been renewed at another sally store and active was right on the front of the card. I asked for my card back so that I could call and verify the information myself and I was told no, my card was snatched back from me and thrown into an unknown location behind the counter. I told her that I was concerned with my privacy because the card contained my personal information. She then proceeded to tell me that she had all of my personal information in the computer and turned the screen around so that myself as well as other customers had a clear view of my personal information and then told me that was why I was too dumb to finish beauty school. I was then told to " get the hell out of her store" and that she would not be ringing me up. I called Sally customer service several times and they refused to hear my complaint. Amanda in customer service said you may take legal action so we cannot help you. I literally cried I was so afraid and I am still afraid that this person has access to my home address and could harm me and my family. Sally Beauty supply seems to be comprised of gangsters and thugs not employees. If I could give them O stars I would.
This note is for the purpose of complaining about the inventory and customer service at Sally's Beauty Supply at Beaver Run Road in Surfside Beach SC 29575. I use the Clairol Cream Hair Color (5AA and 5N). Every time I go to the above location, the shelves are empty. Their excuse is one of the three "The Truck hasn't come in", "The truck is in but not unloaded" Come back Sunday and the product will be available". We go back on a Sunday when the store opens, and the product is gone. I understand that this is a popular hair color, but why does the store manager not order more of the product. Common Sense tells you that more is better and the store will make more money. When my husband told the clerk that he was tired of coming in any hearing the same story over and over again and why doesn't she order more of the product, she made a facial smirk, which did not sit well with my husband. This is not a laughing matter and something needs to be done about this situation. I have heard several complaints in our neighborhood regarding the same matter and different matters. I trust that we will hear from you regarding this situation.
So I got hired at a sally's location in Calgary Alberta Canada about three weeks ago and I have never been so offended and outraged from working at a small retail location ever in my life. I have been there for three weeks and already do not think I am going to have the patience to work there much longer. The first incident which upset me was during my second week of work when I was called into work early because one of the girls ( who was the assistant manager) decided she didn't want to show up again and this happened a few times a week, so I get to work and there are people lined up at the till almost to the door and people up and down the isles asking for help. I try and get as many customers as I can through the tills while trying to direct customers to what they were looking for in the isles only to go into the back three hours later and find my manager and one of the girls I work with sitting there chatting so I asked of help and my manager said one minute. Half an hour later when it was busy again they were still chatting in the back and this happens all the time. I am new but every day I work the other girls sit in the back on there phones talking one of them even took a nap one day like a freaking nap?!?!?! And today one girl that had been there over a year yelled at a customer today because she was paying with a gift card and cash and she heard wrong and put it into the debit machine and when the girl corrected her so she freaked out and threw her gift card at her. Then because I let someone run to an isle and grab something they forgot which took about 30 seconds a few minutes before we closed she swore at me in front of the customer and then while trying to grab something in front of me from the till shoved me into it! Then when I closed and locked the door and went to the back to grab my jacket she freaks out at me and says I need to kick customers out of the store five minutes before close or else the cops will show up?!?!?! I apologized and left but I have never been so poorly treated by fellow staff in my life especially when I work eight hours without a single break because there all lazy and SO RUDE! I am not going to have the patience to work with those kind of people and it is outrageous because the manager will take returns and sell them on kijiji! It is not just America that has horrible sally customer service it is Canada too. I have had customers come and ask for me because I treat them with genuine respect and kindness while there in the store after only three weeks of working there. That alone should say something is seriously wrong. The only nice hard working girl that I work with works six days a week for minimum wage does not have her own set of keys for the store when the last assistant manager who calls in sick four times a week told me that the girl who took a nap in the back while the store was crazy busy yeah apparently her and another girl who I replaced had bullied a different girl who worked at the store so much that she was forced to get human resources involved because she was afraid to go to work. Like sally's is supposed to be all about customer care but from working there and from what ive seen, all these girls need a serious attitude check and soon. SALLYS IF YOU WANT YOUR STORE TO STOP LOSING CUSTOMRS STOP HIRING ### LITTLE LAZY ###.
Sallys beauty supply is awful ! They workers always have an attitude or a stuck up attitude and they dont do or know ish ! Especially the one i go to in east windsor new jersey ! Horrible store wont go there ever again!
I've dyed my hair before ---never had a problem using a powder bleach and a 40 volume developer. I'd let my hair grow out some after having it colored my natural color. I went to Sallys to get some help on coloring my hair in a safer manner since the bleach disturbs my hair too much. I told them that I would gladly get a bleach kit, if that's the only thing that I could use to get the desired results. ( I wanted to go a natural blonde from med brown). They told me that I could do it with no problem. The first thing they told me to do was pick out a shade that I liked. It wasn't a high lift, so knowing what I do about hair color, I picked another product, close to that color, in a high lift shade. They told me that I would need a 20 volume developer, yet they kept going on about how dark my hair was. I kept asking them if that would pull enough, and they said yes. I compromised and got a 30 because I know how my hair pulls. They talked me out of the 40 telling me that it would do something totally different to my hair. -----So, I get everything that they point out that I need, go home, saturate my hair as directed ----this is what happens.
I notice my roots are turning red, quickly. I thought that maybe it was just what that particular color did, and I would have to go through the phases of warmth. Now... as I have this on my head, I'm thinking... it just doesn't look right, but I'll leave it on a few more minutes. I left it on for an hour and a half. I washed my hair out and was DEVASTATED. They told me that it would look one way, and it totally looked another way. My roots were carrot top red, and the rest of my brown hair that was a warm color had been toned to a mousy brown. It was horrible.
I called the hotline provided on their website and customer service was just as friendly as they could be. Apologizing over and over again for my hair.
They told me to call the store and talk to a manager. So, the next day, I waited until they opened and called the store. I talked to the manager, Tiffany, where she attempted to cop an attitude with me, stating that she was NOT A PROFESSIONAL. I explained to her that if she HAD NO KNOWLEDGE of what I needed, she should have told me that, rather than trying to make a sale and get me out of there.
I was told to call another store where the lady told me to take my receipt back to the store I got the stuff from and they needed to refund my money. She was also a manager. I went back into the store and took everything that I purchased back, empty bottles and all even though they didn't tell me to. Then, the exchanged that for something to "correct" my hair according to the manager at the North Myrtle Beach store.
They told me in order to fix it, I would need to put a medium goldish blonde on it, then pull it through a cap after putting on a filler. I was unsure, but figured since they said that the lady in North Myrtle Beach was a professional, I bought the stuff again, came home to yet another nightmare.
This time, after the filler and the color, the red in the top of my hair was worse, it was darker and more enhanced. They'd basically given me a lighter color to try to correct color that was already in my hair, which now I know doesn't work. I put the highlights in my hair, and had orange, red and yellow blotches all over my hair due to the fact that it was so multi colored to start with.
SO----I have to call customer service again. All I wanted to was to be reimbursed for what it was going to cost me to go and have my hair professionally done. I was told to drive to the Conway store where I was under the impression that they were going to give me the stuff to correct my hair for the third and final time. By this time, I couldn't even run a comb or my fingers through my wet hair because it was so damaged and breaking off. My natural wave in my hair was totally gone and it looked like straw.
I drive all the way to Conway, about 30 minutes from where I live to find out the only thing that they were going to do is give me some free cheap conditioning packets. The lady there called the district manager and asked what she could do. I had my receipt and told her that I'd already been through enough with the other stores, but she said there was nothing they could do. They acted as if I were lying about the products that I'd purchased and then told me that I didn't have the empty bottles for proof.
Then, the lady informed me that they were an at will store, much like walmart, you buy something, if it doesn't work, then they aren't liable for their product. But, what this woman didn't seem to understand is that at walmart, you don't have trained sales people in each department telling you what you need. At Sally's, when you ask, and they tell you something, you just believe them. I say, if they don't know for sure, they should tell you that they don't know, consult a professional, or at least they could take the time to call someone that does know, instead of talking about their personal lives and what they had for lunch instead of thoroughly helping a customer.
Also--if they make a mistake, they should at least be nice about it and try to right the wrong. If they would have just told me that they didn't know for sure what would happen to my hair, I would have gone with what I usually do, or just held off on doing my hair.
Finally, I had to go and get my hair redone, it was about 4 hours of tugging and pulling an coloring and lightening my already dry and damaged hair. It still didn't get totally lifted to what I wanted because of the damage done to it, so I have to walk around with light blonde hair that isn't the correct color anyway... since they let me fry my hair telling me to just use additional conditioner on it and it would be fine.
I say that Sallys Beauty Supply owes me two things, the amount of money that I've had to spend to correct their mistake and an apology for treating me the way they did.
I will never, ever shop there again.
Everytime I am in the Sally beauty supply store in longbranch in NJ ( home depot Plaza) the employees are always complaining about their boss and talking about her. One cannot avoid hearing what they say, because they are talking to each other across the store-- I always wondered why the employees would be so disrespectful.
Well now I know why--that woman (the boss ) is the rudest salesperson I have ever encountered. I was standing by the nail stuff, and looked at a package that was hanging open even before I touched it. I looked at other items--put them back----did not line them up like soldiers, like this OCD manager obviously wants done.
When I went to the counter to pay, she went to the nail section and let out a shriek and said "'somebody left a mess, and went on and on about it, she even said "'this is my store and I can say anything that I want".
It was obvious that she was hinting that I had made the mess, although the packages were hanging open,
before I had even touched them.
I told her that I worked in retail and when customers moved stuff around, no one would be so rude as to accuse them of ""making a mess" --we the associates would just go back and straighten stuff.
I hope the Sally management looks at this complaint. This is not how customers should be treated.
I was in the store early today in mccomb Mississippi . The cashier did not give me the chance to tell her where I put the cheap worthless hair straightener . As she kicked me out of the store without even asking where it was . I was wearing skinny jeans and a v neck shirt . I own and Che one of the top of the line straighteners invented . So I laid the other one in the back of the store in a random spot . As I proceeded to tell her where the straighter was she kicked me out of the store then chases me out grabbed me and harassed me . I then proceeded to take my jacket of so that she could see that i didn't have it . She then stood behind my car and would not let me leave, I'm very upset and will be writing and article in this weeks paper about your poor customer service .
hair damage due to defective products!
I purchased the above four products from Sally beauty supply with the help of a sells associate. The sells associate guaranteed the product would work ok with my curly hair. My hair became a solid ball, tangled, in the middle of the washing process. I dried my hair and tried every thing possible to undo the solid like formation with no luck. My hair got damaged literally. I went back to the store to ask if there was any help to restore my hair. They said there was nothing they could do, except to advise to visit some other beauty salon.
I went to a number of beauty salons to see if any buddy can undo the ball like formation. Finally i went to the JC Penny's beauty salon in Seattle Washington. They tried every thing before they decided to cut off the ball like solid formation caused by the use of the stated product from sally's.
After suffering the loss of my hair, i went to sally's store to return the product damaged my hair. I was turned back with disrespect and humility as if i was trying to cheat.
Please some one advise what my legal options are rearing this situation.
I have a similar problem with my hair at the moment. Get a lawyer.
declined check
I have never had an NSF and it declined when she ran my drivers license I have worked in banking and still do for over 25 years so I know I have never had any NSF's DL # [protected]
I live in Beaumont CA and have shopped at Sally"s in AZ and CA, have shopped at Sally's for over 26 years. Your Banning store staff are very non professional and show very poor customer service
I purchased a Green Sally's card while living in AZ and because it is paper and not the updated plastic card the employees say they can not give my my due discount they only try to sell me a new card.. no discount my last three purchases.. Good Bye to Sally"s..
It's really sad to hear about everyone's experiences at Sally's, but it sounds like most of you put it on yourselfs, for one hair pieces yes sounds like the girls fault but in the hair color isle no matter what Sally's you go to the have a mirror I'm sure you could have walked to it at some point, and yes hair is non refundable I'm sure you found out someone wore the hair piece before you you wouldn't have purchased it at all, idk why you were even trying it on in the first place, second for the guy with the blade it's the same issue, specially when you point it out, as is they are non refundable sometimes they make an exception with a receipt but that was totally on you so it's not bad customer service it policy stores have to follow, so next time instead of blaming employees go to a salon or know exactly what your looking for if you want to be happy
Hello my name is Jen. I worked at a Sally's clos to Atlanta, GA. I have to agree with the staffing issues, but to my suprise they made fast changes. They need to make sure they train the staff or they at least have some type of training as far as cosmotology in the past. Tell the staff if they are not sure about a product which is understable, infor the customer so that way it will give them time to find it, weather it be with a team member or call customer service on the package. I went to school for cosomotolgy in high school and did not remember everything about hair care, waxing, coloring, ext, but you have to treat people the way you want to be treated. You would not want to go and tell someone you want blond hair and it comes out purple, or some type of bad rash because someone was sensitive to something in the product. I have worked at Home Depot also and I knew little to nothing about hardwere, however, when in dought I found the answer. "If you would give me just a few moments to find that answer out for you that would be great." & don't forget to smile and check on the customer in a timely fashion. Come on people get it toghter, a little goes a long ways.
the way the employees need to word things is whats wrong sometimes an item will be discontinued from the store but not the company so they should suggest as i do to visit the manufacturers website to find a place where the item is now being sold and i agree the ethnic section in my store in nj is only about 12 ft and the customer base is predominately hispanic and african american sallys does not cater enough to us
Hi I live in Marion IA.which is about 1% African American. My complaint is that there is not a time I go to Sallys in Cedar Rapids IA. which is about 15% African American and also has another location about 5-7 miles from the store on the other side of town. than the store that is closer to me .
Every time I go there they have a ethnic isle about which is about 3ft. wide and the store its self is about i'd say 300 sq ft thats just a guesstament.
But my complaint is that why they have one product and not the other that works together for African American hair or will lie and say the company of the product has stopped making the product.
I have called several companies to let them know that they are telling customers that the products have been discontinued . Which They make the big corporations look bad because if they don't make money that will cause the unemployment rate to be worse than is. I have also, been in the beauty business myself and I know to make money you have to spend some and why should I have to drive 7 miles to the Sallys that is on the other side of town because there are more African Americans on that side of town so they cater more to us ? Even if they don't get but 1- 2 bottles of each thing I am sure they will sell because as much as I change my hair from short to long from color to color I am sure I would be their best customer. And I am sure that what is ordered for other races they don't sell out of so it too is sitting on the shelf . Just letting you know if anyone from the top is reading this. My money is green olso.
I''ve just been reading your comments above, I'm from England and I have to say they are no better over here!
The staff! Talk about being up theirselves! Quite honestly they're not all that an a bag of chips! Snotty little Munters that think their somethin cos they work in Sallys?! They need to get a life, a full facial transplant, and a lying boyfriend that'll tell them their beautiful!
I thank God I'm not that shallow, stupid, or FUGLY to work there!
I doubt that Sally's CAN ignore a court subpoena.
If they are given a subpoena and does not appear, some courts have the discretion to find the person in contempt of court and either order the person’s arrest or issue fines accordingly.
Go for it!
I wen't to Sally's hair salon to buy a clip for a T-Raiser hair machine. The young lady behind the counter asked me for what machine and I pointed one out that was right behind her, I told her it's exactly like the one behind you and made it clear to which machine it was was. She then handed me a clip for the machine and I paid for it and left. A few days later I was gong to insatll it, but realized it was to small. I never opened the package. I wen't back to Sally's and explane to the person behind the couter what happend, she ask me for the reciet but I missed placed it. She said that I couldn't return it without a reicet, and I said to her that I'm not returning it I just need the right clip for my machine, after all it wasn't my falt that that i was sold the wrong clip. I went by what the clerk handed me and figured she new what she was doing. Neatless to say the gave me a very hard time about a simple clip that i wanted to exchange for the right size for my machine, i didn't want my money back just the right clip. They had VERY poor customer service and need to take courses how to talk to customer's in a propper manner. I won't recomend Sally's to anyone just because there customer service was horrible.
In reply to the lady with the hairpiece...do you realize the reason you can't return hairpieces is because it's like a brush ...if you had LICE or another CONDITION that was transfered threw those items and they took them back to resell them ...then the next person would contract these !
We never return them in a professional salon for this reason ...think about it before you buy next time . Or better yet go to a salon so they can match your hair ...there not hairdresser's to begin with ...lol Thats why salon's dont like them ...it's like a store you destroy your hair with a 5.00 color and we have to fix that hair for 3 hrs -4 hrs for 250.oo ...is that worth it ?
My name is shamika and I worked for sally #2057 I have never in my life been through so much stress working there. The manager was very very rude to me she would cus me out in front of customers. And told us we need to show customer service the ### never taught us anything and I was the only person in the store who knew anything about hair and complained and said she needed to hire somebody who knew about hair product. Well look you only hired but one person with hair knowledge. And The girl that has now took my place is trailor trash. Man sometimes I wish the home office and coorporate would realize who they are hiring these days to manage one of their stores. For further information I suggest not going to That Sally's
awful co-workers!
Ok I work at a sally's... I work with a few very decent people... However there is one behemoth woman that seems to think she runs the joint... She is not...
-a shareholder
-an owner
-a manager
- an assistant manager
However she is on some power trip... Where she insists on bossing other employees around 4 out of the 6 other employees at our store have had problems with her... There have been numerous incidents where she has lied or created a situation to complain about... However my manager does nothing!
-she has asked other employees personal information on my hours and time off... I do not even work the same days or shifts with this woman... I have only ever spoke to her in person twice since I have worked there.
- she has lied to my manager and other co-workers telling them I insulted her when I did not even speak to her.
- the story today is too long to go into detail however she is the most childish 40 something I have ever met... How long has it been since high school? Cut the cr*p!
I have worked part time for sallys in NLR/Sherwood Arkansas For a year now. We had the best Mgr in the world...made sure we all got a weekend, always calm, and actually knew how to run a store. So we get the Mgr froM Rodney Parham store (who is infamous for running a store into the ground...paperwork and all. She's never there...in fact a week after she transferred over she requested Fri Sat and sunday off then took 5 days vaca then requested the weekend after that off. She doesn't ever work weekends except for some Sundays. She screws our schedule up so we can't get our deposits done on time. She ran her old store into the ground and now they want her to do our store the she way? Then the other 40 he employee we got who isn't a manager what's over and was told by Joe hell no...leaves the store whenever she gets a chance. I used to love where I worked but now sallys sucks bc they don't fire people for doing wrong...instead they make them store manager and give them a raise
Omg I worked for sallys two years ago.I started in October and before you know it I was Managing a store here in las vegas Nv..BIG mistake. We had people stealing left and right. There were times when I was in the store alone because sallys couldnt afford to give me anymore hours for that store. When I say Stealing I mean from old to young from spanish to black folks, a hot mess. Then they decide to hire me a security which was the biggest thief of all...Sally's made me sick and If I would of known then what i know now.Sallys would of had a law suite. After stopping certain girls from coming in my store for shopliffting i would go out with my husband and see the same girls I caught in my store, one of the girls even said, "look who I see, shes not in uniform now is she "?.I would have to let my husband know what was going on and that there might be some drama, instead we just leftt.Where was sallys then?Youre right all they care about is meeting their quota and getting thier money in the bank by 12.I would never work for sallys again only because I loved that place at one point, even seeing myself there for a long time. But to sallys I was just aother employee guarding there merchandise.Im now a Manicurist working in a high end salon. One thing sallys did do for me was open my eyes.I now know That I would not break my neck for any other job the way I did for sallys.I make my own money and I love it..Thanks sally Beauty supply..Larice ...if you have had the same experience with this company please share your story with me.send your story to... bzldady01@yahoo.com..Thankyou
I had the same problem when I used to work there. The DM could not give a crap either! Sallys does not stand behind thier employees, especially those of us who know how to speak up and have with a backbone!
All they care about is the quota$$$$ for the day and all they want are nice little, meek, conformist employees who will never complain no matter how bad they are treated!
I certainly hope For Your Sake that your store is not in the Southwest US, because the Miss B. Dickey the territoral mananger, who is a cold heartless B***H!
Im sorry you are having a problem with a co-worker. i also work for sally's. you can go to your dm or call the employee concern line if you feel your manager isnt owning up to her duties
employee smoking
April 13, 2007 at 5:45 pm - as I was waiting in front of the sally beauty supply at lee and oakton st.in des plaines, illinois I was appalled to see the very pregnant, very young sally clerk leaning against the building chain smoking 2 cigarettes. I know she worked there because she proceeded to go back in the store and sit on the window sill behind the cash register.
From my experience shopping at sally's, this seems to always be the caliber of clerks they employ. After this I will not be giving sallys my business.
I made a purchase of a box of sanek neck strips. I used my card, and paid for my purchase. Why did the cashier hand me the box and my receipt? Why did i have to ask for a bag
Now, they see that D and R do not bother them much anymore. They feel peace and have won. *-)*-)*-)*-)*-)*-)*-)*-)
I went to return an item and the employee looked at my receipt for a while as if it was suspicious. Another employee was there on her phone. Very rude and unprofessional. She keep looking at my item as if it was suspicious. The item was back in the original package. Nothing was damaged. She was racially profiling me and I don’t appreciate it.
Reluctant to hire a store manager because she wants extra bonuses for things she didn't do. She will not visit stores to check up unless its frequent enough for her. Terrible district manager. Sally beauty, Marion indiana. This definitely should be illegal if not already.
The manager deleted my student profile. When I went back in the new employee had to enter me back into the system. When I went back in the next time the manager robin Williams REFUSED to give me my student discount & was EXTREMELY RUDE! This is NOT the first incident I had problems with in the store when it came to her or her customer service.
Highly offended by your billboards. You have lost my black dollars for sure! People of color -Do not shop at Sally's!
Sally's is racist with this billboard.
You could be an awesome employee with great customer service skills, but if you don't sell beauty cards, items of the month, and extended warranties for your monthly quota, they will write you up and soon fire you.
Beyond disappointed by SallyBeauty 's lack of customer service skills, in particular, by one of their managers by the name of Sheila who has zero respect for customers and is condescending, rude and her character denotes inaptitude to hold any leadership position.
You mentioned the caliber of clerks that Sally's hires. I'm not sure you can judge the caliber of a person by whether they're a smoker or not. And also, if that were the case, what do you expect, it's probably a minimum wage job at best?

The worst customer service ever. They over charged our credit card and the only way they could rectify the situation was to refund the money back on our card and recharge the correct amount. I checked my online banking and there were 2 charges and they were holding my money for those 2 charges. I called and the manager told me we will see the refund in 72 hours. That is 3 days you are holding my money because of a mistake you made. I called customer service and they were rude and unkind. The District Manager Karen called and she was nice but never offered me anything for my trouble. The worst!
