We had a windshield replaced on June 7, 2025 by Safelite. Noticed that with heavy rain. there was water leak into our car. We contacted the Toyota Manufacturer and was advised to take it to dealer to check. The dealer technician did a check and asked us to check with the company who replaced the windshield.
Had appointment with Safelite on August 8, 2026 and was checked in at 1:07pm and checked out at 1:36pm. The technician indicated that the leak was not due to the windshield that was replaced but will not give us a written note to show to the Manufacturer because according to Safelite technician and Safelite receptionist, "Safelite does not provide written note of what was tested". We thought, why not? If they can't stand by their work with written note, what do they have to hide. The receptionist was rude and very unprofessional. She indicated that a note will be sent only to the insurance, but no note was sent to insurance. What is wrong in giving a written note that the leakage had nothing to do with windshield repair if Safelite really checked for water leakage and did not find any.
Recommendation: TO SAFELITE- Be prepared to stand with what you did by providing consumers with detailed notes about what and how you troubleshoot the customer's complaint. Please have a receptionist who appreciate that without the customer she will not make any earning
