Rug Doctor – Leaky machine

I have used rug doctor for years and it does a good job. However, the hand tool attachment always leaks (every time), spilling liquid around the base of the machine. I checked all connections for the hand tool were securely fitted. I wanted to clean furniture and didn't want to also do the carpets this time. The result - loads of water spilled on my carpet. I immediately vacuumed it up with the rug doctor, but the stains remain after 24 hours. Rug Doctor don't maintain their equipment properly - there shouldn't be an issue of water leaking all over the place. I would NOT recommend spot cleaning of furniture situated on your carpets or even spot carpet cleaning unless you intend to steam clean the ENTIRE carpet, otherwise you'll get big stain spots all over the place. I just wasted £29.99 and a whole lot of time.
