I purchased part AP/Eastern 739196 listed as an oe Direct Fit for my vehicle from Rock Auto. However, part did not fit my vehicle and it could not be replaced as it was the last one in stock per Rock Auto. Marco Muffler shop had to modify part in order for it to fit my vehicle at a cost of $347.89. AP/Eastern company rep Orlando whom I talked to confirmed that the part was for automatic transmission only and not for a manual transmission and Rock auto listed part incorrectly on their website as listing did not exclude any transmission type. Rock Auto customer service rep Ralph confirmed that via email on 04/15/25 with screen shots that the part only fits an Automatic Transmission as listed by AP/Eastern company website however, Rock Auto did not include such information in their part listing. I asked for reimbursement of $347.89. Rock Auto refused to reimburse me for expense I had to pay in order to drive my vehicle again and smog my vehicle. Then I asked for a credit and or partial refund and Rock Auto refuse to provide such despite confirming the errors and incorrect part listing via emails to me on 04/15/25. I've been a customer with Rock Auto for over 12 years. I'm disappointed in the lack of accountability with the error Rock Auto made and the financial and other hardship the error by Rock Auto has caused.
Claimed loss: $347.89 (not including AP/Eastern part 739196 purchase price of $823.15 from Rock Auto or any other fees, expenses, etc.)
Desired outcome: Reimbursement for the $347.89 expense I had to pay in order to have part fit my vehicle and be installed so I could drive vehicle again and smog it. Thank you,
