My phone was stolen out of my room by hotel staff. I was treated like I LOST the phone when in fact I NEVER took it out of my room when participating in water activities, I wore swim trunks for days which dont provide pocket size enough to carry & I don't have a waterproof casing so I KNOW it stayed in the room. Security searched the room as if I was drunk after I reported the crime 10 mins after returning from a waterfall ROCK CLIMBING activity which you cannot be intoxicated to do. I was insulted & told the next day that staff had been questioned & searched
& nobody saw the phone. Question... What/how do you expect to find from a shift of people who werent there when the crime occured? My excursion took me out the room at 7:30am I returned & found the phone missing approximately 5pm any culprit had time to hide the phone or even be off work! No details on the hall cameras or room door scan to see which employees entered the room either. I am a Criminal Justice professional with background in Corrections/Law Enforcement-the lack of intelligence in your investigative procedures is laughable & says you really dont care about guests. After arriving back home my sibling called the phone again & a "Tamika" from Chukka Excursions answered! Says the phone was "left" at Tropical Adventure after once again — A WATER ACTIVITY! We rode jet skis on July 1st, I had the phone at the resort after that, in fact I left it on my charger after changing clothes the NEXT day to climb the waterfalls! I can remember this because I had to change outfits for the occasion. Claims the phone is there but effort to contact the hotel was or will be made.
