Rite Aid The pharmacy staff

My son in law went to Rite Aid pharmacy located on 6900 4th ave, to pick up a medication for my daughter. However, the attending staff not only was very rude, but she refuses to give the medication to him. Even though it wasn't closing time yet. On the other hand, what he said after is more horrified, there next to him was an old lady who said to the heartless human being that she got cancer and she needed her Ashma pump, at that point she was begging the worker for her medication and not only she refused, but she went and called security to escort her outside. This begs the question; what kind of people Rite Aid are hiring to deal with customer? In my opinion the lock of respect from some Pharmacy staff like such it will cost Rite Aid loyal customers to look into another pharmacy. Lastly, I will keep these messages saved because if it happens again, it will be posted in the social media.

Maria Vargas

Desired outcome: She should be fired as a remainder for others to follow.

Rite Aid Pharmacy on Oak Street, Milwaukie, Oregon

10/01/2022

MilWAUKIE, OREGON

This company, in the Portland and Seattle metropolitan areas, refuses to pay regional wages. I have learned about this from 'talkative' pharmacy technicians.

My store in Milwaukie, OR used to have a prescription wait-time of 10-15 minutes. Now, a prescription takes up to 8 hours to get filled.

This store's problems started in February 2022. Not one employee is left from February 2022. In fact, every month, I see new faces. And, since the beginning of July, I have not seen a same face twice.

Apparently their stores in Oregon and Washington are great for gaining experience but I have been told by former employees that, as soon as they have enough experience, they moved to other companies with as much as 45% salary raises.

I would like to see this national chain-pharmacy close all their West Coast locations. We didn't ask for them in The first place.

JUST AS IMPORTANT: For 7 months now, they have entire days where they do not answer their phone in the pharmacy.

Desired outcome: Close their Oregon locations and bring back the small, indepependent stores.

Rite Aid Pharmacy

First of all phone calls are not answered! I have a specific order for brand name and was given generic on my levoxyl refill last month. Refills are called in that are on automatic and are not ready for pick up even after 3 days! Then I have yo wait 30 minutes while they scramble to get it together. Yhis has only been happening at Wolcott Riteaid for about a month. Before this they were awesome!

Desired outcome: Get it back together; answer your phone and hire more help if needed!

Rite Aid Refill on my prescription

I have been on Temazepam 15 mg once a day for around five years. A few years ago BC/BS stopped allowing 30 pills a month so in-turn the insurance pays for 15 and then after 15 days I pay for 15 days. My Dr., Dr Daniel Collector refilled the prescription today for 15 pills for 15 days. The pharmacy refuses to fill it saying there is a note in the system from a month ago saying I can have 15 pills every 30 days. The girl on the phone was so rude, actually laughing at me with the girls in the back round laughing. She was working at the Leader Heights pharmacy on Sept 16 at 6:30 p.m. Her name was Racheal Pearman? I can understand the RX being confused but this happens every month for the past year. They always refuse to fill it and then I have to explain to them its 15 pills for 15 days and then they refill it. I have never had anyone in the pharmacy be so rude, laughing at me like I am an idiot. She represents your store, you should do something about it. I am leaving this pharmacy and so is my entire family. Between all of us thats 11 prescriptions per month.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response and an apology from the girl who rudely laughed at me. I really don't think this situation is funny. I'm sick and I need my medication. Maybe, if she were in my shoes she wouldn't be degrading customers.

Rite Aid Insulin

I usually purchase insulin from CVS. The first time I went into a Rite Aid store is when my husband switched all of his medical prescriptions to the Rite Aid store on Hoyt St Stamford. He had told me that the staff in the store were very pleasant and helpful. I found it to be so. So I started switching my prescriptions to that store. Today I went into the store to pick up prescription number

[protected]. The cost was $39.99 more than the CVS cost. I mentioned it to the person who helped me at the counter. And the Pharmacist also heard what I said. Neither of the two individuals offered a price match; they both ignored my comment. Even if your staff is always as pleasant as they usually are it is not worth enough to me to pay more money for my prescription. I can only assume that all of my own and husbands prescription cost more at Rite Aid.

Rite Aid Prescription cost

On 8/18/22 I received the Shingrix vaccine at Store 04886 in Washington, Michigan. My husband & I have been customers at this pharmacy for years and never questioned the cost as we have excellent prescription coverage. The pharmacist informed us that insurance doesn't cover Shingrix and would be $265.99 each and I would need another in 2 months. I said fine and paid for the first vaccine. After talking to friends who said that was so high I called two other pharmacies and learned CVS was $211,99 and Target was $105.99 for one shot. Since the vaccine consists of two doses it comes to $531.88 at Rite Aid and only $211.at Target.

That is a ridiculous profit for Rite Aid. If your profit is that high on my insurance covered prescriptions I will have them filled elsewhere and tell friends to beware of Rite Aid.

I certainly feel I deserve a refund.

Sincerely,

Marilyn McDonell

Rite Aid Over the counter (otc) medication in seattle, wa

Monday, 29th August, 2022. As visitors from South Africa to Seattle, WA to attend a family wedding, we had the need to obtain medication for my husband at Rite Aid, on California Ave SW, Seattle. After establishing via the Pharmacist that Sudafed would be the best to dry up his sinuses, we were refused the medication without property ID. We were told that my husband's passport was insufficient identification and that the pharmacist required a proper ID that she could scan. Consequently, my husband had streaming sinuses for the next 2 x days and had to be around friends and family constantly blowing his germs all over the place. Luckily nobody else was affected, as he was careful enough to keep his distance, but the experience left us with a sour taste, and extremely uncomfortable, given that we are senior citizens who are not likely to be taking excessive drugs or trying to flog them on the street. This was considered highly unusual by our local family and friends whom we met with after the incident.

Desired outcome: An explanation of why a person's passport cannot be used as proper identification in this instance, especially as it was obvious we were not locals and quite harmless (82 years and 74 years respectively).

The Sudafed in the pharmacy does contain a controlled substance and they msot likely needed identification that scans because those that scan are not so easily forged and faked. With a passport they may be easier to fake to an untrained eye or just easier to dupe. Because, again, it's a controlled substance, they need identification that scans in the system to prove its not fake and that you are who you say you are. Anyone of any age can be a drug dealer or addicted your age really doesn't matter. I don't work in a pharmaceutical setting but this is just how I view your situation. Whether you see it my way or not is up to you *shrug*

Rite Aid Pharmacy (pharmacist)

Today my doctor sent over a "bridge" script for me at Rite Aid in Hanover PA on Eisenhower Dr. The reason of sending the "Bridge" script is because I had ran out before my next refill which is next week. Upon calling the Rite Aid on Eisenhower Dr. I was on hold for 30min then the pharmisit picked up the phone saying my insurance wouldn't cover the medication because it was too soon. I said yes I know ill pay out of pocket. Mind you there is a note on the script from my doctor saying if there's any issue to call them. So I mention that to her after she dental filling my medication. She told me and I quote "I am not dealing with this today". "I'll do it tomorrow ". I've had issues with this pharmisit in the past and filed a complaint against her. She's rude and don't care.

Desired outcome: An apology and my medication to be filled!

Rite Aid Rite Aid Pharmacy on D St. in Grants Pass, Oregon

The people working in the pharmacy dept. are rude. They haven't answered the phone in 2 1/2 days.

Just about every time I deal with them their customer service is lacking!

They don't fill prescriptions on time when they are due.

You may want to check the feedback on this store. They are going to lose a lot of customers if they don't start giving better service.

Desired outcome: Fill Rx's when due. Be polite. Text customer when Rx due and ready. Communicate!

Rite Aid Transmitting prescription renewal info by phone.

Rite Aid provides an outgoing voice message that says it's Bishop, California store is located on "Rocking West Drive." This is inaccurate. It's located on "Rocking W Drive," which is pronounced "Rocking Doubleyou Drive." The "W" isn't a direction indicator; it's part of a cattle brand, part of a ranch name. To say it's "Rocking West Drive" is an insult to local culture. I've complained about this twice before and Rite Aid has done nothing to correct the misread address; I'm hoping it will be corrected now.

Desired outcome: Record a new outgoing message that gives the store's address correctly.

Rite Aid Pharmacy

Received notice from my doctor tor that my rx for Lexapro was ready on 8/10/22. Went to rite aide on corner of 12th & market street. Pharmacy tech was not friendly from the start. It seemed like I was bothering her. Like I was lord into her home and asked for my rx. She could not find my rx and asked me in front of several customers what medication I was picking up. I told her I was not comfortable saying it out loud as that is a violation of HIPAA, which I’m very familiar with since I am an LCSW. Rather than being more sensitive to my concern , the tech became more defensive and nasty. I had switched from cvs to rite aide but now I’m considering going back to cvs.

Desired outcome: More training for your pharmacy techs about HIPAA and interpersonal skills and sensitivity. Follow up from your admin office.

Rite Aid Customer service

Let me start of first by saying,I've been coming into this Rite Aid for a VERY long time as I grew up in Tamaqua! I was in on 8-3-22, I'd like to say around 10:30am,not positive on exact time. I was being waited on by a lady named Debbie (she had her name badge on), suddenly another employee walked in and they exchanged hello's,and the young lady smiled at me and said good morning to me,she did not have a name badge on as I'm assuming was coming into work. I heard her tell Debbie she had to show her a note she had just received on her phone, Debbie looked at it and instantly got mad, saying things that I'm pretty sure I as a customer should not have had to hear, also most likely a HIPAA violation. The young lady began to cry and apologize stating something to the effect that she had only expected to be off 2 days not 4! She then walked away. Debbie didn't stop there she continued to wait on me and saying "I only get paid for 40 hour's looks like I'll be working 50 because of HER?" I don't know nor care what the said note was, but it was VERY unprofessional of the manager to speak of an employee to a customer like that! Now mind you I've heard "rumors " about this particular manager, but chalked it up to just that, rumor's. But from after what I saw,and heard, and seeing an employee cry over a note she received was mind blowing to me! I left the store in utter disbelief and told my spouse what I just witnessed. If this is how Rite Aid allows their managers to treat their employees,I believe I will be looking for a new drug store. She was very rude and unprofessional,I understand after talking to a few people in town that she's been with Rite Aid for a long time and her employees are afraid to come forward of the abuse because they fear being fired, pretty sad if you ask me! She is on a power trip and needs to be reprimanded or demoted in my opinion. Nice choice in managers Rite Aid! Thank God another drug store is revamping in town, you'll have a run for your money, hopefully the lady she made cry can work for them!

Desired outcome: I'd like to know if this manager gets a warning or something, her actions have consequences!

Rite Aid Prescription meds

For some reason I had to change my med insurance to 'well care'. After a half a year of paying full price for my meds i'm told there was no discount due to rite-aid not being on the preferred list. Rite kept telling me I was still paying the deductable or I would have investigated earlier. The thing is, I can not change the insurance til next year due to the rules. Nice game, eh? Why does rite-aid not want to be on the list? Now I have to drive 40 miles to get my mrds instead two blocks.

Desired outcome: darnned if i know, can anyone help? seems it's a way to dodge the discount for them.

Rite Aid Rite Aide Ashland, Oregon, Pharmacist hours cut

I and lots of people switched over from Bi Mart to Rite Aide when they closed. We received a big Welcome sign and were told that Rite Aide would be able to handle the transition with no problem. Yes, the wait at first was long and the line huge, but I expected that and knew that as time went on Rite Aide would acknowledge this problem and hire more help. They did not to my knowledge. As a customer, I had to adjust the times I come in to off hour times. As a retiree, I was able to do that but still the wait was long. It is hard for the elderly who make up a lot of the customers to stand for any length of time, on the other hand, we need our medications. I go to Rite Aide because it is only 2 miles from my home and easy for me to access. Today, I had to go in and pick up a prescription for my autistic son that was called in on Sunday. The medication wasn't done. I heard the assistant at the register tell the two people in front of me that the pharmacists hours had been cut back to 30 hours. When I got up there, my son's medicine also was not done for the same reason. I saw other people actually get mad at the poor assistant even though it wasn't his fault. That is not fair. Your employees are taking the brunt for the corporation who made a unilateral move. I am so pissed that this is happening in our small town. I would have to drive to another town to get my medication which would be a hardship for me.

Desired outcome: Go back to a 40 hour week and get some help in there for the pharmacy who are trying so hard to take care of double the prescriptions now.

Rite Aid Pharmacy in Gardnerville, NV Rite Aid

I have been a client of the Gardnerville Rite Aid pharmacy for many years. Recently the pharmacy has been so bad. I have many prescriptions that are on auto-refill. They do not get refilled for days after I ran out. I have called the pharmacy and nobody answers the phone. Last night I went to the pharmacy to see if my prescriptions were finally filled. The drive-in window was closed and I went inside. There was a line for the pharmacy that went down the aisle. Every single person in that line was complaining about the same thing. Their RX was not filled and they were entirely out. When it was my turn the gal told me that my RX was not finished and they would not have it finished before they closed. Which, I may add they are closing now at 6PM every night. I then complained loudly to the pharmacist that this was ridiculous and I needed my RX. NOW. He then filled it for me. Others were not so lucky. They left empty-handed and many told me loudly that they were changing pharmacies. I am changing pharmacies. Those poor girls in the pharmacy had to put up with cranky and angry customers. It is wrong and you are losing customers.

The manager of the store told me she was sorry for the inconvenience. Not having your meds is not inconvenient. This is serious. For some people not having your meds is life-threatening. One person (who is a friend) told me that they were going on vacation and were out of their blood pressure medicine for the last week! Last night they finally got their medicine. A WEEK! I have another prescription that is due to be filled on the 5th. I really hope that it will be filled or I will camp on the countertop until it is. Something needs to be done!

Desired outcome: Please make sure that people get their medicine when it is due. I would like a response as to your acknowledgment of this problem. I would like a response to let me know that you are fixing this.

Rite Aid scanning driver's lisence

about 3pm on 7/14. Store clerk required me to scan my drivers liscence to purchase non alcoholic beer. I am 76 years old and there is no way I look like i am under 21. Also why capture the drivers liscence information and not simply look at ID like all other places do? And why was i told I could not do the purchase yet my niece on next window only had to show her Id? is it cause she is blond and your store clerk is racist?

How do I know you are not sharing my information? Why capture it? this seems illegal. why must I register before the system accepts my complaint?

Desired outcome: I want answers as to why You require scanning the drivers Also on cookies why don't i get option on that page to opt out and ask you not sell my information according to california law?

Rite Aid Poor training/communication

I learned from a friend that prescriptions could be transferred between pharmacies. This information would have been good to learn from Rite Aid staff when I described a difficult situation I was in. They suggested I mail the prescription, but after some research, I learned it is illegal to send prescriptions through the mail without a medical license.

Following that, I contacted the Walgreens to transfer the prescription. When I followed up with them, they reported they couldn't get through -- the phone kept hanging up on them. I called as well and confirmed the same experience.

I contacted the Customer Service line to see if there was an alternative to get the prescription transferred. They offered very little assistance except for offering to file a complaint. In addition, they rudely hung up after I affirmed they weren't able to help me.

I drove to the rite aid location and learned their phone system was down. They provided me a fax number that the Walgreens could send the request to.

I hope the transfer is underway, but this process could have gone more smoothly if the first representative knew mailing prescriptions is illegal, they knew about the process to transfer prescriptions between pharmacies, and the customer service representative knew that prescription transfers happen via fax.

All these interactions together made for a frustrating customer experience.

Desired outcome: Provide more training to your staff about transferring prescriptions.

Rite Aid google play gift card

I purchased two $100.00 Google gift cards from the Oakhurst store on June 12 I believe. I have lots of grandkids and great grandkids that I buy lots of cards for. One of the cards could not be used. It kept saying more information was needed but didn't say what kind of information. I called Google and was on hold for over two hours and no one ever answered. I finally hung up. I contacted the Oakhurst store and told them the problem and they said to bring the card back and they would see what they could do. At that time I had talked to a man named Randy and he informed me that that day would be his last working for Rite Aid and he turned it over to a man named Anthony. I waited around the store for about an hour and no decision was made. They said I could leave and they would contact me when they got a hold of Google. He did call me back but said that Google told him that there was money on the card but they couldn't tell him how much. He told me that he would keep trying. Later he had a girl call me and tell me that they still have not received any more information and that Anthony had left for the day and would not be back until the next Wednesday which is today. I called the store this morning and they told me that he hadn't come in. I called later in the day and they told me the same thing. I begged them to please have him call me and so far he has not. $100.00 is a whole lot of money for someone on S.S. and just trying to give to her grandkids. I feel that he is avoiding me. They told me that they have a sign up that says no refunds on gift cards which I did not see but if they don't give refunds then they should at least exchange it for another card. Please try to handle this for me since no one seems to want to talk to me and either give me a refund or exchange it or another card that may be good. I am aware of fraud on gift cards but this is not fraud. My grandchild could not get the card to work and Google did tell Anthony that there was money on the card.
