Warning! Do not shop at regency furniture. They are a complete rip - off. This store allows you to lay - away and hold furniture and will not allow you to cancel. They will not return your money nor will they return a check that you are using to hold furniture.
Oh, and let's not talk about the fake free delivery offer. They say on the commercial that they have free delivery, but when you go in, it's free curbside delivery. They drop your furniture on the curb and you have to figure out a way to get in the house.
Here's the scam! You go to buy furniture, they pretend like they have the furniture and when you get home, they call you to tell you that they don't have it or its broken an it will take weeks to arrive in the warehouse, when you decide to cancel, they will not cancel or they charge you a 10% cancellation fee. In my case, i wrote a check to hold until 2 / 16 / 10 and then i was to bring the full amount of my order into the store so that i could schedule delivery. When i arrived with the full payment, they were to give me my check back (The check was for $1585. 00) . Well, when i found out that they didn't have the furniture in stock, and they couldn't tell me when they would have it, i decided to cancel my order, they decided to deposit my check anyway. This was after i called them and told them that i was coming to pick up the check and to cancel the order. No one ever called me back from customer service, they pretended like they would cancel the order and deposited my check anyway.
Thank goodness i checked my account in time and i put a fraud stop on the check at my bank so they won't get my money but buyer beware! These arab guys are scam artist and they are relentless and will not give you your money back period! The bad part about it is that they use black sales people as operatives to run the scams on black people. I am so appalled and ashamed at my people. There are black sales people and black women running the financial part all knowing how regency operates. My advise to you is not to go to regency! If you do, remember i told you so!
Sorry, meant to say Regency Furniture not Ashley Furniture. They claim to sell Ashley brand furniture and that's why I got confused. The set I was going to purchase was from Ashley. I will call Ashley today to see if they have the set for the same price and purchase from them. Thanks!

Here is my story, 3 years ago bought a bedroom set from Regencey paid cash I was told it would be delivered in 2 weeks took 6 weeks, furniture was not in stock. Okay I undstand ### happens. Fast forward to March this year paid cash for a living room set again was told since I paid cash order would be rushed from the normal 2 to 6 weeks to 2 to 4 weeks. The 4 weeks are up and now I'm told not to expected delivery until the end of May. And when you read the fine print you can't get a full refund until they have a told of 10 weeks to completed delivery. Here is the kicker another store has the same furniture with immediate delivery, but I have to wait until the end of May to either get the furniture or a total refund. I was told by the saleman and manager the paying cash would get me a rush delivery. Well in this case TWO Strike and they are out in two trips I spented $15K enjoy it's the last time you will get anything from me including a recommendation when people ask where I got the furniture from. All you had to do was tell me a true expected deliver time so I could make a decesion on valid information.
I am very satified by my purchase, and I enjoyed every minute of my shopping experience at the Oulet in Waldorf. I took care of three rooms for under $2000. The service was great and the price was right. Sorry Mohammad1872 but I dont think I'm going to give your complaint any credit because I couldnt understand anything from your broken up english. Looks like you you didnt understand their policy since you cant spell correctly. Please correct yourself before looking at others. I am a Happy customer and will continue shopping at Regency.
First of Let me start by Say I am not a Customer of Regency But A former employee and let the record show I quite not because I was not making money their or got a better job NO I quite because I knew what was going on First of let me start with the fact When you buy from Regency you will get your Furniture in 6-8 weeks maybe later but NOT SOONER that's a fact they take your money hold it in a interest account or use it to pay their employees they get your furniture you are loaning them money interest free. Then after 6-8 weeks you furniture will arrive then they will call you and tell you we have your furniture and we will deliver it in 10-12 days after they decide they will call you on Monday and tell you to be home Tuesday from 9am- 5pm to wait I could not work at a place not loner I see it all I saw people who had kids sleeping on the floor who where told they will have their furniture in 2 days Please beware before going dont fall into midnight madness or blow out sale you are better of going online to buy your furniture it will come faster and you will save money I hope this will be help full and BTW for the record MR Screwed is right most of the positive comments are from Regency employees
Please don't bring race into the complaint. But I have had plenty experience with Regency and all of them went smoothly for me. Sometimes these things can happen, unfortunately only bad things are usually said and the good ones aren't.
Any positive comments are from employees? It's a shame that people can only post the bad experiences and the good ones never get heard or when the good does get posted its automatically disregarded. I understand that people can have bad experiences, that's everywhere you go though; there is always the good and the bad. Ever trying dealing with a big corporation on trying to get something solved? I went in to Regency and they solved all the problems for me right there and then.
It would appear that Ashley and Regency are one and the same. I bought nearly 3, 000 dollars worth of furniture from Ashley and a week later Regency delivered 3 of the seven pieces. I paid for delivery and they wanted money on the side to take out the old. I now have 3/7 of my purchase, don't believe I will ever see the rest and if they do I expect to be robbed just like the first time by the by Regency deliverers. All my complaints, they said, had to go through "Ashley Furniture Inc." They don't get involved with the sales end only manufacture furniture. {RUN AROUND} No manager is ever available. Any positive comments are from employees in order to keep their jobs.
I recently purchased bedroom furniture manufactured by Ashley from Regency furniture in Waldorf, Md for $2, 000. After one week, the bed frame holding the mattress broke when my grandson sat on it. I was asked to send pictures. After a week passed with no response, I called today and was told that they will not be sending a repair technician because they have not had any other complaints/problems of this nature. Of course the manager was out of store. This is totally unacceptable. I intend to pursue every avenue possible to hold Regency and Ashley furniture accountable including small claims court. I would not recommend Regency or Ashley to anyone.

i have been buying from regency furniture's for 5 years i have never had problem with theme, always the same very nice people .
and if there is anyone say a nice things about '' REGENCY FURNITURE'' they

'STUPID' drivers, use to work for regency .
but in your problem i think more like personal things becuse how would you know there family?

i agree that regency furniture is the worst place to buy furnture they have the most ignorent customer service people and managers hay i payed for delivery and the dam drivers are stupid and dumb look all those managers and warehouse peolpe are famliy so they look out for each other any way that dam driver and helper [censor]ED UP my walls they told me that they had subcontracters that do the delivery and if anything happens to the furniture or my place they will be reponssible to fix evrything and replace my furniture they did notthing about my place or the furniture i have 4000.00 worth of furniture in my garge that are taken space and don't have any use so be every carefull when you buy furniture from there or better off DO NOT DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM LIKE THIS GUY GEORGE ROACH READ HIS EXPRIANCE WITH REGENCY FURNITURE ITS ALOT WOSRT THAN MINE PLEOPLE THIS [censor] IS REAL BASICALLY I LOST MY MONEY 4000.00DOLLARS AND GEORGE ROACH HAD TO EVEN REPLACE HIS CLOTH, FURNITURE, ELECTRONICS, CARPET AND LOTS MORE SO HIS LOST WAS MUCH MUCH BIGGER THAN MINE AND I WISH HIM THE BEST AND TO HIS KIDS THAT HAD TO GO THROUGH THAT MESS

I had a very good experience with Regency in Fredericksburg Va. the salesman wasvery nice and I will look for him the next time I purchase from the store.. My experience with the so called liquidation center in Waldorf MD. was not as pleasant.. First of all they call themsleves the liquidation center when in fact the prices were higher than the showrooms. I traveled there this weekened expeting BARGAINS.. but that is a crock. The table that I want to purchase is priced 339.00 in the Fredericksburg store but in the liquidation center it is priced 399.00 that is 60 dollars more. I recently purchased a pub table with 2 seats, it is priced 119.00 at the Fredericksburg showroom but 150.00 at the liquidtions center.. What kind of rip off is that.. I suggest that everyone compare prices before they purchase ANYTHING at the so-called liquidations center.
Regency is the Best. The are fairly priced and have excellent customer service. I think some members or our community just want to make their own rules and just like to complain. As a matter of fact, I am going to buy some more furniture for my son's house next week. I shopped around and Regency is the absolute best.

I don't know anything of this furniture store, but anyone who adds race into a complaint loses their credibility to a valid complaint in my opinion. (You had me warned until then...)

I agree with Johnson007, Regency is the best store in town. I got my furniture today and it was delivered on time and the drivers were very nice. I have been buying furniture from Regency for over 7 years and they have always been the nicest people to deal with.
I have furnished my whole house from Regency Furniture, they didnt treat me like just any customer shopping, every new me by my name and treated me like family. I see your complaints but i paid for my furniture in full and paid for delivery. I didnt do Layaway, by they way, what is that? Free Drop Off means exactly what it says i heard it and ready about it the store but I paid for the delivery so they would set it up as I pleased. Regency Furniture is the only furniture store that gives back to its community, I was given tickets to their baseball stadium which gives the people of southern md something to cheer and enjoy our time with our kids. Thank you Regency Furniture we will always stand by those who support our community!
Stay Away! I purchased a bedroom set with a warranty and when the cheap bed broke, theyrefused to replace the bed. They told me the bed had been discontinued and it was nothing they can do even with a warranty. I would rather furnish my house with bricks before I purchase another piece of furniture from them.
I had the same thing happen to me Regency gets a large deposit and never order the furniture.I found out they hold alot of the consumers deposits as a loan for the store to pay it's employees payroll.
