I have booked a ticket to Udupi from Bangalore in Dhriya Travels through RedBus app for travel on 30th April 2026. Dhriya Travels abruptly switched our booking from a sleeper coach to an old 3+2 seater bus with non-functional push-back seats, causing a 5-hour delay in reaching the destination. We arrived at the designated point at 10:30 AM instead of the scheduled 5:30 AM.
Before departure, their representative promised a 50% refund through RedBus, but no amount has been credited to date.
This marks the third incident in the past month—our buses were canceled on the travel date the previous two times. It appears RedBus prioritizes commissions from operators over quality control, registering unreliable and fake travel agencies without oversight. After these experiences, I've deleted the RedBus app and will advise all my relatives, friends, and colleagues to do the same. It is always better to book the online tickets through bus operators website.
