I think the OP is saying, if the price listed is different than the price it rings up as. It is illegal. I don't think that law that the OP cited is the correct law for mispriced items. In Canada. We have Canadian Code of Practice Scanner Price Accuracy Policy.
1. THE ITEM FREE SCANNER POLICY
Retailers will implement an Item Free Scanner Policy as follows:
1.1 On a claim being presented by the customer, where the scanned price of a product at checkout is higher than the price displayed in the store or than advertised by the store, the lower price will be honoured; and
(a) if the correct price of the product is $10 or less, the retailer will give the product to the customer free of charge; or
(b) if the correct price of the product is higher than $10, the retailer will give the customer a discount of $10 off the corrected price.
1.2 Where the same error recurs in scanning multiple units of a given product during a given transaction, the retailer will correct the scanning error in respect of each unit of the given product purchased, but is obliged to apply the policy set out in 1.1 (a) and (b) in respect of only one of the units.
1.3 Paragraph 1.1 only applies after the final sale price of the purchased item has been displayed at the checkout, including relevant rebate, discount or promotional coupons.
1.4 To be eligible for the Item Free Scanner Policy, the product must match the product description on the corresponding shelf tag.
1.5 The Item Free Scanner Policy does not apply if the barcode or shelf label for a given product has been tampered with.
1.6 The Item Free Scanner Policy does not apply to a product where, in respect of that product, the law:
(a) establishes a minimum price (or specified price); or
(b) does not permit the retailer to offer a discount or a rebate.

They are not hidden fees if they are in the contract. Just because you didn't read it, doesn't make them hidden.
Read the whole contract and see where it says that. If you can't find it, contact Bell and tell them to show you were it says that.
When you cancel your cell phone, you will get hit with the early cancellation fee as well. You will need to wait until your contract is up before you can cancel with no cancellation fee.
You should have just taken the phone away from your daughter and put it somewhere where she can't get at it until the punishment is over unless the punishment is severe like for 3 years. Sure, you would still pay for the every month she is punished but no cancellation fee.
I am pretty sure Bell won CBC's Marketplace worst phone bill.
Rmeilleur: As I stated. Since you can't find it, contact Bell and tell them to show you were the fee is.
The Facts Only Please: The OP said that it is not in the agreement.
Metro also charges. Stores charge so that customers would stop using the plastic bags and use the recycle bags.
Money that is collected for the use of plastic bags, goes to local charities.
You are not being scammed.
If you want to support the charities and not what stores give to. Bring your own bags.
You read the Bell Contract?
Here is the Bell Contract section for cancelling contracts
If we end your Agreement and the Services before the end of your SCP because of your non-payment or other breach of the Agreement, you must pay (i) an amount, plus applicable taxes, equal to the greater of (a) $100 or (b) $20 per month for each month remaining in your SCP, to a maximum of $400, due to termination of your monthly rate plan; and (ii) an amount plus applicable taxes, equal to the Data Credit divided by the total number of months in the SCP, multiplied by the number of months remaining in the SCP after termination, due to termination of your data plan or feature which you committed to receive during the SCP. You must pay both amounts (plus applicable taxes) if we terminate both monthly rate and data plans, or a combined monthly rate and data plan, before the end of your SCP. Upon deactivation of the Device, and/or termination of the Services and this Agreement, you must pay in full all charges that are due including any amounts set out in the main part of your Service Agreement if you choose to terminate before the end of your SCP, late payment fees and any outstanding payments, fees and charges owing under this Agreement, plus applicable taxes. This obligation survives termination of this Agreement. Any SIM card will be deactivated and may not be reactivated. Bell will provide a refund of the amount of any credits greater than $5 which remain outstanding (after netting out any amounts payable by you) upon the termination of this Agreement. You must contact your financial institution to cancel any direct debit and credit card authorizations relating to your account.
It is in the contract so the OP is wrong.

Lois, are there other pharmacys in Sarnia? Does the Metro there have the pharmacy?
That is your opinion, unfortunately many more people have no problem spending 5 cents for a bag to support charities if they forget and don't get upset when they have to spend a few more cents.
You think it cost 2 cents for 1000 bags. You are wrong, it costs way more than that. Your initial cost is closer to how much it costs per bag.
If you forget your bag, you can always take it out without a plastic bag. Whether in your hands or in a shopping cart.
Interesting that even Digital Home Canada doesn't mention it being recalled.

Metro's pharmacy is open later than 5pm and are open on weekends.
Pharmacy Schedule
Sunday 11am - 5pm
Monday 9am - 9pm
Tuesday 9am - 9pm
Wednesday 9am - 9pm
Thursday 9am - 9pm
Friday 9am - 9pm
Saturday 9am - 6pm
I also suggest posting at Digital Home Canada regarding this as I am sure there are members there that would like to know that their receiver is on the recall list.
Actually, there is already a thread about it at DHC.

Why didn't you cash it at your credit union where you are a customer?
Sintination: Regarding the wireless router. As already stated 30 days is 30 days, you waited until it was past that.
No, you would be out of business if you ran the business the way you want Best Buy to run their business. Giving refunds for stuff that is past their return policy would make them lose money. I mean, why stop at just 34 days. How about the TV I bought a decade ago. It is now bad. So, can I go to where I got the TV and get a free replacement? That makes no sense.
Regarding the TV. After the certain time, at the most the 30 days, you need to contact the TV manufacturer and tell them your problem. You will have to pay for any repairs and services done as it is out of warranty.
DSL Modem/Router: You do know that when they say up to 7Mbps? They key word in the sentence is up. I doesn't mean that you will get it. The connection speed is affected by distance from ISP operation center.
Geek Squad: All extended warranties are scams and are only pushed by stores and companies for extra profit as the vast majority of the time, warranties are not used.
This is not Best Buy's website so the odds that they will see this is next to nothing and since all of your complaints are proven to be wrong.
Next time, have the person who bought it, get a gift receipt or give you their receipt.
Pretty much all places need a receipt for a refund or exchange and it is normal business to need a receipt for refunds and exchanges. How do they know it was from Future Shop. It could have gotten off eBay for cheap and returned to get the money back.
It is just common sense that a receipt is needed for returns and refunds.
No where on their site says the coleslaw was included. Sure, the picture from the site has coleslaw and hushpuppies in it but their baskets says that they include Basket Combos include Natural-Cut Fries and a Medium fountain drink. Coleslaw and hushpuppies are listed on the sides page. Also, the cod looks small on the site but are thick.
This is not Walmart's site. You need to contact the Walmart store and speak with the Manager with their phone number which should be on the receipt.
Izzy M.: Strunk is referring to the size of the food not the amount of food for the nuggets.
I was just looking at the McDonalds Canada site and have not found one page that says "We are sensitive to dietary restrictions. A crew member would be happy to substitute yogurt for apple slices in any Happy Meal."
Can you please post one direct link to the FAQ that says "We are sensitive to dietary restrictions. A crew member would be happy to substitute yogurt for apple slices in any Happy Meal."? Thanks
Thanks.
I found one. The direct link is http://yourquestions.mcdonalds.ca/questions/19
Just so you know, that is not a policy. If it was was policy, then, they would have posted that responds on the Happy Meal main page and on their FAQ pages. They did not.
And you trust what McDonalds says over the phone?
You obviously don't know about the Shaw debacle of the Shaw Friends program and Lifetime warranty.
They just said to get you off the phone and hopefully you are happy with the response.
Like I said before, no where on the Happy Meal or FAQ pages has that policy.
OP, why didn't you call Empire Today the moment you noticed these problems instead of waiting until they phoned?
The Twin Pack was probably put there as it was an overflow from where the Twin Pack is. As the OP said. It was at the back of the rack out of the way behind the single packs.
The price is not 17.99 but I assume 34.98 or lower as the Twin Pack is usually cheaper than get the the 2 Single Packs.
As soon as you put money on your Line Of Credit. You agreed to the spending of your Line Of Credit Money. What you should have done, was call BOA when you first got your Line Of Credit statement that had the money used that you did not use.
What did Sue do that you considered rude?
