Katiejo, i have been told by many x members that they have been allowed to do this, probly cause no one blew the whistle on them, for years with wizard 101. probly till we all as one sue them for chamilion law violation [basicaly claiming one thing and doing another] they wont change. other sources say that they have been sued for it and havent changed.
katiejo soon as i get my friends who love petitions to take a stand against the company ill tell you but i dont know if it will happen.

f__kaeriagame,
there has recently been alot of hacking and social engineering going on to scam accounts from aeria games. The increased security questions is their way of keeping its users safe. I geuss your one user that was left holding the bag when the new security protocalls went into effect [ie the 6 to 12 questions].
As i posted before they banned me for accepting a few trades from a user who didn't send them to me [it was in fact a hide my ip with my locked ip, locked ip means i had a program holding the ip so no one can use it] user who actually sent them was named Jk49ever. well i got a pm warning me they would report me. i asked for a list of the items stolen since gaia erased my listing in trades and to give me 1 month to get them due to being hacked by the user JK49ever. the user agreed. 1 week before i had all the items back, only had 3 items to go, and the staff banned me. i sent them a report with all the evidence which in court is reasonable dub-out to their claim. which means i did not violate the tos. they refused to return it. went to BBB they again refused to return my account even with the threat of a law suit by another customer who spoke to the BBB. years go by and the customer appreciation email went out. tried again since it seemed like new staff came in. same result no fix in their gross mistake.

i'm surprised the FBI, FTC, and FCC have not gotten involved cause gaia online crosses state and international boarders. money IS transacted and lost that last i recalled was a factor in FBI involvement.

Really that is a poor reason to call the BBB and Econsumer.gov for. you broke the terms of service. that means you are liable not them.

TINA GOINS, this is actualy much simpiler a answer then most of these silly complaints. the server [not imvu server] that connects to imvu from where you are route is damaged somewhere along the line to the server. yet it can get other sites. just wait a while and it will be fixed. this happend to me and i found out my server was in dc that i link to one of my sites. it went down so i had to wait for that server to be restored before my link to the site was reestablished.

Zippy that is one of the first level headed comments I have seen here(opinion) yet. As for you block, sounds like you found a dcma hole that you didn't see and violated. The imvu staff is very supportive of customers (last I spoke to them a month ago).

@ 99ways2die,

wow so much to correct here.
1. log in
a. did you type user name/password correctly?
b. are you using a legal program?[no third party]?
c.are you logging into the imvu webpage?
d. did you try the webpage?
if you answered yes to all of these then ether you typed your name and password wrong, you been hacked, or your trying to hack someone else.

2. "Also none of the credit games work at all, unless working is giving you a virus"
a. this is just funny, there is no possible way for imvu to give you a virus. read their TOS, they check their stuff hourly for viruses. If you go to a 3rd party webpage, fake webpage, or a known infected page you get infected.

3. "I say this because my youtube player is crashing my whole chat all of the sudden, ... a download patch and still the same problems."
a. simple answer, check your system specs vs imvu recommended specs. this is always important for any program. in fact i just logged in my non paid account and it works fine. i check my specs before any patch and im above what they want.

if this makes you mad*shrugs* then maby you should try another program.

4. "the creators who are often real cloths and furniture designers and to buy their products and that is it. "

a. news to me most of my friends are not cloths and furniture.
if you don't cancel the account or ask for a freeze [some companies will do this] you will continue to have monthly subscription charges. you stopped playing but if you allowed them to charge the credit card it will continue till you tell them to stop. they will close the account till you reactivate it. when you reactivate it you will get charged again for access.
also it states " she renew her subscription and earned 1 week free play. Than used her credit card to pay 30 days of game time."

which means that they had to be a returning player. if you invited them thats differnt

takes a while to get to some posts here. [not a member of the battle.net staff fyi]. Hackers/scammers have been for years using real emails they have from the company [probly from doing something wrong in the past], if it is anything besides say "@battle.net" then its fake. On the WOW webpage there is a link to how to spot fake emails. unfortunately i do not have it on hand to give you. But read the address of who sent it carefully. you could be walking into a scam.
it looks like from the picture you fell for a trap. That is a scam email. they somehow [without blizzard knowing this] get your email from varrius places and send out a clone email to you that goes to a fake site that is actualy a fraud webpage not affiliated with blizzard. if you read the return path its @hotmail.com not @battle.net right there that is a red flag. also why you cant play is possibly cause your system requirements are below the recomended specs for the game.
wow i cant belive i missed this one. paypal is a site that you can use for convinence instead of getting your wallet out and looking at your credit card. it needs the cc to have funds to use on what you need to buy. [while you can get money from others to pay it but durring account creation you need the cc to start it.]
@rpcaster- that is a scam email sent to steal an account. they send it to anyone they think might have a account. i get them for guild wars 2 and i dont have a gw2 account only gw. check the sender address does it say battle.net? is the one in () a battle.net? if you answered yes for 1 but no for the () then geuss what its a scam.
While this has happened to me before there is a logical explanation to this. Yes the code may be broken but every time its happen to me it was my fault. I hit accidentaly the key for a different mount [i have the bar on the mounts and hit 2 while 1 is active] this will dismount you in mid air. All my cases this is why it happen. There are many things they failed to fix that they cant find. they do the best they can.
@ i hate, i filed a false advertising charge about 2 years ago with bbb, told bb they have a base in texas. They can not persue it they said cause the company is in england not usa. if you guys can get this company fixed have fun.
@bell she stated she did cancel the account. which mean the monthly billing 10 months after is illegal. While the do state you cant get a refund, it doesnt show what about when they are at fault for illegal removal of funds.

took me a while to get to this. It seems you were wrong in what you bought. the HD you quoted i remember back in 2010 was not over $100. infact i recall that when i examined the pricing for a new drive i only came up to [with tax and shipping] only $95.00 though i could have checked on a sale day. ether way gamestop tries their hardest to make sure their customers are treated fairly. the complaints here seem like you were not treating them fairly and were right in their response. a 25% coupon for items $100+ used on a $100- item should not have been accepted. the glitch saying it was allowed may have happend durring a sale. which do to the nature of coupons means it is useless now. to make a new one they need to generate them. but miss using them means they dont have to do that for the abuser.

*automated response telling about the website*sorry couldn't resist. takes a while to read posts lol. [so many on blizzard/wow]. while i do agree there are scammers in wow grabbing crafting material and ahing it. its not really a issue, in fact I have noticed a zone that all the veins mined rez them after about 5 minuets from the last nod mined. so they would need to have a scammer sit on the zone 24/7 non stop and have runners run them to the ah 24/7 which is kind a obvious if you ask me. i mean just after about 2 hours of mining for mats i need to skill up my mining my bag is full of ore and rocks [my mining pouch] and i only hit maybe 5 veins. go back to the same spot after selling the rocks to a vendor and the vein is back already.
@Bellamie yeah she did, "I call them no body anwer the phone try to rish them via email and nothing" while she did not mention what was said in the email. By her tone of wording she asked via email to cancle the account, she also doesnt say how many emails she sent them, so she probly told them to rrefund her after the cancle.

I think you work for them cause for me to find the page for "hey you gotta pay for every chapter" page i had to go through 27 pages to find it. why 27? cause it is not where it should be which is under store, membership, or the guide. in fact except for that page and the hidden faq page there is no mention of needing to buy the chapters to play. By definition free to play means you don't have to pay for anything to play the full game.

as for what she is saying i looked at that page and it doesn't mention it really well. it does mention continue membership will require you to pay for more time, but not you are auto renew.

@ Asking Alexandria - actualy IMVU is free to use. if you want the add ons like vip, adult pass, more credits then yes there is a fee but its 1 time fee, [well the vip i think is anual i forget]. you can stop playing at anytime and not pay a thing, well my account i have not had to. the line you speak of can be said about any game in the world. imvu is just a chat system.

while this isnt a complaint i will still answer it asif it is. all the rumors about them stealing money, giving you viruses is false. when you break down those complaints that claim this you find they did something wrong, went to a 3rd party site [can give viruses and steal money], or just didnt act appropriate.
is it safe for kids and not scary? cant say there is a place online that meets that criteria. imvu has gone to great lengths to seperate adult and kid access items. it is safe from what i have seen. im a ap member and i have had only 1 issue which was my fault cause i missed info from the promotionary pass i had. otherwise its been fine.

to the poster:

well using another program runs the risk of being disabled if it isn't an approved method. say you use a trainer to get into imvu. trainer is a hacking program so yeah that gets a disabled soon as you get caught.

@Keilon. i seem to recall the gm i'm pals with saying they cant id anyone by their laptop or block them by laptop. They can though block the ip address that you log in with. Sometimes they block a ip address that affects more than one person. Even innocent people.

Dude its on the corporate website that pre orders are held for 48-72 hours after release. The other locations you speak of are probly were your best buds work. I would know, 2 game stops I frequented they would call about my pre order. If it came out on say Mon or Tuesday I couldn't get there before closing. So id ask them if they could hold it for me till Saturday. They would be nice enough to hold it with a sticky note and my name on it.
i would show up before closing on Friday or even 2 hours before opening and get my promised game no problems.
@ origenal poster- that is very intresting since i have the same laptop, guess what you CAN BUILD that model with specs for gaming. infact even the non build your own model has a setting on the order form to make it gaming or non gaming [non gaming wont play games unless you order a new part to add the feature]. sounds like you were given a counterfit mx15 laptop. i have had a few bsod but there was a logical answer. there was a virus in my system that bsoded it. i have had this laptop for 6 years now and every time i asked for help via live chat, phone or email they were nothing but kind. again my laptop is a mx15 and it works as advertised by them cause it was speced to the needs of my use. it even came pre installed with world of warcraft wraith of the litch king. which ment i didnt have to reinstall it, just log in and pick up where i left off.
