there is a part about hacking someplace on the site, but that is right from the section on "terms and conditions of sale". i can not do any more than what i just did by telling you this stuff. only other thing i can tell you is do this http://www.imvu.com/help/help_iframe.php or contact them for a explaination of why you ned to pay to reactivate a account that they unblocked for being hacked and a illegal transaction happened.
LittleHands,
I have already answered you. I have asked their staff about this back when I had a issue with my VIP tag. They said that there is a window of about 9 days from a purchase[18 if you report that you were hacked before 9 days] to request your money and account back without a penalty. If you ask say on the 10th or 19th day then there is a penalty to get both back. This may have changed since I spoke to a IMVU staff member. I do not know more than thyis. Please DO NOT take it out on me.
leonhart they close accounts via the webpage. you were undersuspision of 3rd party selling. soon as you get unsuspended you log in then ask for closing sorry to say but sounds odd and sends up red flags to me and im not a aeria games imployee.
I get emails from them too but unlike you i get them cause it was my game email. i broke off ties with them after they shafd me from my account by not returning it to me just cause the passwords i had on my file were wrong.
now in answer to the emails sent to your work email. it is a scam/hacker email trying to steal your account. i know cause my world of warcraft email is aol not hotmail and they sen it to my hotmail.
you are a member of a steam/origen webpage correct?
so if i understand your complaint you bought a game MARKED with a "pre-owned" sticker that said it was "$27.99" did you factor in the sales tax in your mind for the game? was the new "$22" one on amazon or ebay? those are preowned meaning it left a store being bought/stollen. honestly i have checked new games and most are $30+ even before tax. ast game i bought was about $60 brand new fresh from the shipping box. that even as a powerup rewards member discount cost me $60.
if the game says "pre-owned" then the computer will read the "$22.99" before tax is added. if that sticker says NEW then it is what they claimed. which sticker does the games you purchasd have.
also you could have asked the employee for the manager. then if that didnt work ask for the name and manager number. then report your case to corporate along with that number and you would get money back, an appology, and possibly keep the games for free. i was sold in the past a wrong product, did this that same day and in 2 weeks got a letter with the money back.
if this is ages later it is possibly to late.
That is as far as i know intresting. last i knew at&t dsl is a seperate service. you need a phone and data line. i had a phone/dsl line in my place through at&t. i never had bad service because i had it set up with 2 lines through at&t [spoke to them no one else to set the oder.] they upgraded me for free when it went to u-verse tv/internet/phone[note i been a customer for 25 years and idk they just gave me it.] sounds like the direct tv company set up your account with at&t wrong.
Mod_Harriet,
I am supprised to see a jegex employee actualy looks here. I mentioned on other jagex/runescape posts about needing help from you guys before on my account but your site is hard to navigate and not user friendly.
about what Mod mentioned some stam/origen pages have embeded viruses. you look at a game for what it is and bingo virused. then they see what you use for email and there you go. even with my anti virus firewalls i still get new viruses that it doesnt know exist yet.
*sighs* well went through 3 Jagex Mods and i still can't get my account even after giving them all the data i remember putting on the account. no one but me knows the stuff in it and they can't locate or admit that it is my account. reminds me why i left jagex for aeria games to beta test for them when they offered.
Well unlike Mod_Harriet, i was passed to 4 differnt mods. each mod said the same thing. kept asking me for my credit card and email i allegedly used on my beta tester account when i made it to find me. beta tester account requiered information: account name, display name, password. no creditcard was requested of me nor email. fast forward to consumer version. still nor card or email requested on my account profile. i asked a friend who has a bot that can only locate a account with minimal data. Geuss what he found my account with the same details i gave jagex. so if a bot can find the data without jagex ltd access then what access does jagex have to accounts?
"i'm sorry but i can not reset your password vi email"? REALY? i have accounts with 4 other UK game companies and geuss what they reset my password via email or the phone after i prooved i own the account with details only the account owner would know. I know no one gets special treatment besides paid players in their eyes but a Beta tester has the Beta tester web which is more hurtful to a companey. why? because the web can affect the future.. just one coment from anyone of the testers say "the game is glitchy and i got viruses from the program. the company would not listen to my report" and it spreads to other testers and their friends. my verdict for Jagex I am sorry mod_harriet but is a F for how un professional the 4 mods were blantently calling me a liar with their words. f from the Better Buissness Buro means FRAUDULENT. they do not care about the customer only the money. DO NOT go to this company for any reason. hurting a member is one thing you can recover from. but a beta tester is a whole nother thing. they will not return to help test new games for you and tell others of how they were treated.
Though i will not say any more on this unless asked by someone. i wont report this to the tester web so don't worry mod_harriet.
Guy is Akamai, while you are right docj's story is shaky. gamestop/ebgames stopped using used game stickers in 2006. they switched to pre-owned, then when they switched to power up rewards system it is MARKED with a power up rewards symbol. not ONE whole wall is marked the same. some ARE new and marked new. the new games range from $40 to $60 while pr owned range from $10 to $30. before tax. The stickers dont make errors, if it is marked pre-owned the computer has it marked via the bar code. so if it is say $10 pre-owned mark then the computer will read $10. the fact that it read $39.99 means that the sticker was not $27 preowned but marked $34 NEW. I was asking for proof of her claim that it is marked used [which is no longer used by gamestop i confermed this with my local gamestop who asked corporate.] if she can show us it is indeed marked $20 then she has a case. if it says new then she doesnt. again no gamestop has one wall dedicated to used games. there are pre owned bins of old games from the past game systems.[all marked pre owned.] please show us the sticker on the games you purchased and if you want the recipt. i checked all my "used" games and they are marked with pre owned. all marked $19-29. the new ones are marked $34. btw Guy is Akamai your coment agrees with her yet you mark disagree realy intresting.
oh and ebay and amazon are not gamestop/ebgames so they dont have it the same price because those are actualy PRE OWNED not new even if it is labeled new. once it leaves a store it is no longer new. so those games can be sold lower. [sorry for the double post forgot to mention this in my post.]
i know this is late but this complaint has nothing to do with second life. EA and sims are from another company. secondlife is LindenLabs.
scruffy what does that have to do with a game?
imvu hater, that could have happened with anything. any game could have been the rp location.
bill if your land has adult theme and your marked mature not adult they do that.
ElsaSalsa, the things you speak of can be scientificaly explained. so far from what i know power of curses and spells only work if you belive in them.
paranormal activity? well check your house. do you have a high emf field in the area of 1.0+? did you recently renovate a home that someone died in the past in?
as for trojans imvu has stated in the tos it does not have trojens or viruses and you by accepting tos dont hold them responsible for 3rd party stuff.
It sounds like you had a glitch in your order. i one time was ripped off by eb games. i went to the corporate hq via mail and i not only got an appology, but also my money back, the staff fired from that store, the product they claimed they sold me, the one they sold me i was allowed to keep, and a gift card. btw gamestop and eb games are the same parent company. just because you specificaly had a bad apple doesnt mean everyone will.
i have noticed a few things on their webpage.
1. monthly membership not listed anywhere nor is how much it is to buy the game you rented and such.
2. if you do the math with what you see some games they charge [this is from the store section] $65 for a game on top of the $15-$25 per month. that totals $70 -$90 per monthand lets add a stratigyguide [some need one] thats about $20. that means you pay $90-110 with gamefly.
now lets take gamestop for example. i only pay $15 per year thats right 15 usd for a full year with them. and i pay $60-70 for a single game that i know is good. sometimes its 70 for a new game. a guide is $20. oh wait i have the member discount wich is 20% off the guide with the new game so i pay 10 usd[note this is only my experience i may have had extra discounts i did not know of]. lets see thats oh look thats $70-80 usd per game.
now lets say you buy 10 games and guides.
gamefly:$25+(10x70)+(10x20)=$925 per month
gamestop:$15+(10x70)+(10x10)=$815 per year/12=about $68 per month im paying not using gamefly.
id say knowing the game you want and buying it right away from playntrade, or gamestop is a good idea.
since the post also mentions returns here is the deal with gamestop. each week it is out of store it is - $10 if its new but opened. mind you if you get a staff that is great you might be able to trade it in for full price if it is the same day you bought it. though i was lucky. btw the origenal packaging issue i havent had. to me the packaging is the box not wraping the store puts on it.[though i never had that anymore unless i get it from the shipping box brand new.]
you all seem to be missing something. when a expansion comes out there are flaws in it that are unforseen to a company. it happens. the code in waw was changed in mw2 and caused gaps that hackers exploited. as for refunds read the terms of service for the system you got it for. xbox live states there is no refunds. if it was in store then you need to return it within 30 days. if it was from activision themself its 30 days. hackers are in every game. as for wii mess up sounds like you interupted the update. i cant say more cause i dont play mw but it sounds like your just letting off steam for new updates.
i recall when wolk and cata came out there was a hacker cry out but it wound up to be that the ones who "were" hackers had a expansion the others didnt buy. now im not ligitimizing those who use exploits they find that were not intended by the company. those i agree should be punished, but telling a company who may be dealing with the problem the best they can to pay a refund for a product because your unhappy months later [or in this case i belive a year some of you have had the game] is just crazy and asking for trouble.
whocaresaboutyou
i just checked the blizzard entertainment webpage. they are not owned by activision. the activision blizard is probly a new team. i have also checked the affiliates page. activision is not on it. i have checked all possible sites i can and find the activision blizzard is a seperate entity and NOT blizzard entertainment.
rendor is a bellend, what game in aeria games was this in? depending on the game each game has differnt event rules. you might want to look into that before you go all posting crusader.
Persephone21. AYE MEN. i stoped watching my emails for how silly these complaints are. they are so funny i almost fall out of my chair reading them. oh you got a virus from imvu? did you CLICK A VIRUS PAGE?
I just got a response from the BBB, yeah im that annoyed. my complaint was ended with the most BS ever. KingsIsle asked BBB to keep their response PRIVATE. I dont even know if they will comply or not with my complaint. We need to rise agenst them, they think they can get away with false advertising.
i am really pissed off with jagex now. they sent me a email last night claiming i am selling my account for the 59th time. i don't sell accounts. let alone i don't have the name or password for my account. they are allegedly suing me for selling it and ruining the game market. really? i would NEVER stoop so low as to destroy a game in this manor. even though i would love to see runescape fall. i mean they didn't even answer the BBB request for my account despite having a base in the usa. Mod Harriet please explain this un Orthodox email about a lawsuit with no grounds to stand on suing me. you guys refused to give my account back even with all i gave. why would i sell something i want back?
