that's weird...i work for asurion (but i don't do tmobile claims) but i do know within the 4 major cell phone carriers the policy is the same...whether we send out a new or refurbished phone it comes with a one year warranty should it malfunction...if it happens to become damaged, lost, or stolen then you have to file a new claim. in your situation when you got transfered to the asurion tech support department they should have attempted to troubleshoot your phone. if the troubleshooting didn't work then they should have set up a reshipment for you to receive the phone the next day. usually notes are made in your last claim that a reshipment was set up. now like i said i don't do tmobile claims...but i know the policy is not different for each carrier. the only things that should differ are the deductible amounts and the number of claims you are allowed to file. if you haven't call back i suggest you do and speak with a supervisor in the tech support department.
wow after reading so many complaints on here i have to say both verizon and sprint seem to be the worst of the cell phone companies to work with followed by att. but i don't know so i want to ask the lovely ppl on this website.
WHO HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE? VERIZON OR SPRINT?
because one of the carriers is my personal carrier and i would like to get out of my contract if the online poll proves my carrier sucks. thanks.
your deductible is high which means you are either a tmobile customer or at&t customer since they have the highest deductibles
i do know that when you sign up for insurance your carrier is supposed to supply you with the insurance brochure which does have the information regarding deductible prices. your carrier technically is not responsible for telling you there is a deductible if they give you a pamphlet and you read it, but it would be nice for them to mention it as they tend not to. a lot of misconception is that wireless insurance is not real so the phone is free when in fact it is just like every other insurance that requires deductibles...health insurance where you pay a copay to see the doc, car insurance (full coverage) when you get into an accident and the company assess the damage, tells you how much they will pay then give you a number to pay in order to meet them, homeowner's insurance, flood insurance, fire insurance, whatever. all have a deductible except life insurance. that's just insurance period.
i can understand your point of view of having to pay the deductible that's more than what you paid for the phone. my phone was FREE with a new 2 yr contract with my carrier, yet my deductible is $100 should i need to file a claim. i don't wanna pay that! but what i came to understand is that the deductible is based on the retail price/value of your phone. so even if you paid x amount of dollars, the actual retail price was most likely much higher. the more advanced your phone is the higher your deductible. keep in mind that depending on your carrier, asurion is underwritten by someone else. i know with sprint they are underwritten by liberty mutual i believe and with verizon wireless they are underwritten by cna i think? anyway if you want to check out your program brochure go to phoneclaim.com/(your carrier) and everything is available on the site or you can ask me. my mother has been working with insurance my whole life (24 yrs) so im hip to it. i tend to research insurance companies before i use them. currently it's full coverage for car insurance so if you have any suggestions to that im open pls let me know
it's btwn geico and allstate right now
i hope she gets a new phone or her money back that is very unfortunate please let know what happens
THAT JUST SHOWS YOU CAN'T GET GOOD SERVICE ANYWHERE APPARENTLY
THAT IS SAD THAT VERIZON CAN JUST DO THAT. THEY SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO CONDUCT BUSINESS LIKE THAT THEY ARE VERY CROOKED PEOPLE
initially the phone would not be able to be repaired under warranty bcus the manufacturer does consider that physical damage which does have to go through the insurance company (i work for them but i do tmobile claims) but they shouldn't have told you that they would fix it for free! that was wrong and totally out of character...i can't understand why they would lie. and tmobile does have high deductibles for advanced phones just like at&t...i say you fight this with the manufacturer. let me know what happens please!
were you trying to cancel your cricket plan? because i went from cricket to sprint here in houston and as far as i know (because i've done it more than once) since it is a no contract service all i did was...well the last month i used them back in december i just used the service and when it came time to pay the bill i just didn't. they turned my phone off and i switched my number over to sprint with no problem
i found that the best way to deal with cricket when i did have their service was to go directly to store and raise hell. i've done it only once and got results. but it does suck to have to go to such extreme measures to get results. luckily they are a no contract company...so i switched
i agree. i do phone claims for verizon and i can't tell you how many customers call with a warranty issue that verizon won't fix inside of the store. from now on if your phone is under warranty and anything happens as far as it malfunctioning (no physical or liquid damage because they will charge you full price) then call their tech support number at [protected] i am told by the insurance customers that tech support is nicer and better than going into a store.
mcdonald's does that too if you order chicken nuggets there is one bbq sauce for a set amount and when you ask for extra they will charge you about 10 cents where i'm from. that is the trend nowadays...bk, mcdonald's, church's, probably everywhere. that 's why i don't even ask for condiments anymore i just keep all the condiments i need at my house. the only place i know that may not charge for extra is chik-fil-a but with those high ### prices they shouldn't
omg now i work with asurion doing verizon claims and this is the policy:
from what we were told, if the phone no longer holds a charge it was supposed to be covered under warranty which means you get another phone through verizon because the warranty covers malfunctions. now we were told that a phone no longer charging was considered a malfunction...until recently. i have personally spoken with a few verizon reps wondering why they are not honoring a warranty in this situation and now verizon claims that is no longer covered by warranty. they never stated why. so your best bet if you havent filed a claim is to do it online because if you call the asurion number there is no telling where your call will get routed to. there is more than one verizon call center in diff states and you may not come across a rep like me. i would file the claim for you but not every rep will. here is what you do...
go online to phoneclaim.com/verizon
when you start a claim list the peril as damaged and then you type into the space provided that the charging port is damaged because it is. then you go from there! let me know if that helps!
for replacement phones sent out by the company just call the claims center and explain to the agent that the phone will no longer charge. they should then transfer you to asurion tech support. when you get to that department they will ask you a series of questions and then attempt to troubleshoot the phone. after that if they determine it won't charge they will set up a next day delivery at no additional cost and the only thing you have to do is sent the defective replacemet phone back in the envelope that will come with the new phone. as long as the phone is still under the yr warranty with asurion then you should be ok. let me know if this helps and if you were able to do it.
i have to agree...the insurance policy..any insurance policy for that matter does state some type of deductible you have to pay. the only insurance where there is no deductible is life insurance. for anyone who doesn't know the insurance policy for all carriers is available online at phoneclaim.com. a lot of misconception is "well i pay monthly for insurance therefore my phone should be free." apply that to health insurance. "well i pay monthly for insurance therefore my healthcare should be free." really? try saying that when it comes time to pay that copay at your doctor's office. let's face reality...there will always be a deductible for any type of insurance no matter what. now the amount of your deductible does depend on your carrier. i do know the highest deductibles are with tmobile followed by att, sprint, and then verizon. i just know the major cell phone carriers but no the minor. anyway if ppl researched they would have nothing to complain about.like someone else already stated above...nothing in this world is free.
my mother has received 3 refurb phones thru asurion with sprint (in 1 yr due to her damaging and losing them) and she has not had a problem with either refurb. i received one thru tmobile asurion before and yet not problem. here's the rundown
asurion sends out new and refurb phones
all phones come with a one yr warranty thru asurion
u have 60 days to file a claim for a lost/stolen/damaged phone. why would you wait 8 months to report it? there are certain circumstances where over 60 days it can be waived
once a claim is started but not finished it will remain open for up to 180 days (6 months)
you have 2 wks to send back the damaged phone. plenty of time to transfer all info
soooo...there you are.
well...sometimes when something is in such high demand it tends to run out. but that's with anything i don't think you shoud stop going there solely because of that
which location is this? i would really LOVE to avoid it...i am actually looking for a gym membership but if bally's is acting like that then maybe i will just go to 24 hr fitness or l.a.fitness
what location is this so i can avoid it lol i don't understand why the hell it would matter how many you buy as long as they make money off of them right? i guess not
that actually happened to me the 610 location. so when i finished my meal and looked at my receipt imagine my surprise when it showed my steam pot was over $40!? apparently i got a receipt for the lobster steam pot when i ordered the joe's classic which is like $20 less. so instead of correcting her mistake and ringing up my meal again, the waitress stated for me to just pay for a meal i did not order so she wouldn't get in trouble with her manager. so guess what i did? i called for the manager to come to my table, i explained that because it was her mistake and she didn't want to correct it, i wasn't going to pay for it. i told him to take it out of her check and i walked out. and yes i still show my face up there only now i don't think that waitress works there anymore and the manager knows me by name. he always gives me a free drink when he's working (shark bite)
lol whats the address to this location? i would love to go here and mess with this dude...tell him i'm there to buy membership and then after the tour just change my mind and say no! lol that would be hilarious
that sucks i hate tollways and there are like too many here in houston so i just avoid them all
to everyone on this website in the houston area...especially those who work in banks...i was just watching the morning news and learned there is a bank robber on the loose. the assailant is not known to be armed and it is a woman. the woman appears to be older, with a short gray wig on. however, security cameras caught the assailant as she removed the wig, revealing long dark brown hair. she has robbed bank of america on briar forest and wells fargo on westheimer. beware of her, or if you do work in a bank and just happen to get robbed by her just hit her she looks as if she can't fight. i dont think she is armed.
not to mention some of the stupid ### customers that call...HELLO IT'S INSURANCE THERE IS ALWAYS A DEDUCTIBLE DUH...i mean come on people think damn
verizon is crooked like that...when your phone is under warranty they never want to replace it and usually they tell you to call the insurance company. they are so unhelpful i am so glad i do not have their service.
lol at drucier i liked that
