I am Canadian and cannot figure out why you feel you "have" to purchase a program. Like Love Fist said, post offices have free forms. Programs are more efficient when doing taxes but paper forms work just as well.

Upselling is a part of business. If your sixteen-year old son isn't able to ask questions and have the ability to say no, I doubt he should be driving.

Whenever the attendant shifts off (and closes end of day) is when the lotto will be closed. If they work until 10 pm, the lotto closes at 10. If they work until 9 pm, the lotto closes at 9.

If you were within the grace period, then your payment was late. The grace period is the period immediately following the late payment date.
So you wanted her to call you. Then she called you and you refused to take the call. She left a message stating she would try to call you again. When she failed to do so, you called her to remind her that she said she was going to call you. Honestly, why the heck would she call you again if you most likely wouldn't answer again? I'm afraid I don't understand that logic.

What would you have liked them to do, Dissatisfied? A "thorough investigation" would have discovered that yes, you were misinformed on the phone. What conclusions would have met your expectations?
Also, if you are in such desperate need of a motorized cart, why don't you have your own? Stores provide them as a courtesy and if there are already several customers in the store using them, then there aren't going to be any left.

Yes, the cashier was rude. No, CVS is NOT a bank. Sometimes small bills are hard to come by (in Canada, it's fives and tens that are hard to come by) so it's annoying when someone comes along and wants to take your small bills because they couldn't be bothered to go to the bank.
Maybe she should have returned the necklace to the jewellery section instead of leaving it carelessly in the shoe section...hate it when that happens.
Our LP procedure was to watch the person until they left the store and then confront them. If you confront them before they leave the store, they could always say, "Oh, I was just going to leave this necklace up here by the magazines...a perfectly reasonable place to leave it." ;)

I have one hundred percent respect for every customer that walks through the doors of my business. But it goes both ways--you need to respect the person behind the counter, too. When I enter a business, I am always professional and polite, the same as when I am behind the counter at my work. Even with the rudest, most ignorant, arrogant customer, I still remain professional and polite to them. I just tired of being called an "idiot" because customers don't get the point I'm trying to make and they think by name-calling, it will get them somewhere faster.
I'm not condoning what the LP guy did, Jody. If it had been my daughter, I would have freaked just as much as you did. I'm just saying, if they had seen her go back to the jewellery section, they probably wouldn't have been as likely to suspect her of stealing the necklace. That's all.

If this was your "dear pet" I think you would have been on the phone every day asking how her health was. I know, if that were my pet, I sure as heck wouldn't be waiting to find out whether or not my dog had lived! In addition, you let your children neglect to tie your dog up on several occasions--what if your pet had been hit by a car on one of those several occasions?

On the other hand, most gas stations have separate diesel pumps that are different in colour (usually yellow). If you parked beside a diesel pump, I would have taken it that you wanted diesel fuel. Personally, I would have asked to be sure, but some people lack that brain power, I guess.

I just confirmed--Molly is right. Diesel nozzles are about 3 cm larger than regular gasoline nozzles. It's virtually impossibly to put diesel into a gasoline-fueled car. (Note I said "virtually"!)

I agree and don't agree with Anna. The dog would have been more comfortable in the home they've known all their life--but that's also the home that lets the dog escape outside several times and puts the dog in danger of wildlife and being hit by cars. I'm sure the dog would much rather be alive and in a different home than in the home they've always known but struck by some car because the owners let it escape, again.

I work in customer service. Sometimes there are things that I simply CAN NOT do. I can't do cashback when people use their debit card because our computer is simply not set up that way. It's not bad customer service, it's simply the way things are. Being a business owner, you should know that.
People who refuse to simply show a receipt as proof of purchase are most likely hiding something.
Can I also mention that at Wal-Mart, the greeter checks the receipt for the number of the cash and cashier that processed the sale. If they failed to remove or disable a security tag, it goes into a log that keeps track of how many times this happens. So many times and the cashier gets in trouble for not disabling security tags. So it's not JUST an assumption that you've stolen something--there's a real purpose behind it.
First you state that you repeated EXACTLY what the guy said to you, back to him. That would include the word "###". Then you tell the associate that you wouldn't dare curse in front of your child and the word "###" is not in your vocabulary. I think there is a mixed up story here somewhere.
Shopaholic, I love your answer.
Easy solution: don't be late.

What if they were cleaning the bathroom because someone made a huge mess in there? Wouldn't you rather them close it and clean it than to leave it? I'm not saying that's what actually happened--it's just another thought :)
SO tired of reading this complaint. "But...I was only one minute late for check-in!" Late is late. You don't (or shouldn't, in this case) get on the plane. End of story. Next time, show up earlier.
