You shouldn't be embarrassed--they should. They have no right to treat you that way and I would complain to upper management about the way in which you were treated.
Well they were probably busy with other stuff inside and didn't have time to wait until you finished laughing at your joke. Or maybe they thought you were playing a prank on them because you were laughing. Although they are there to serve customers, they do have other jobs they have to complete as well.
I don't understand. You bought them in April and they expired over a month later? But you were eating them in October (over six months after the purchase date) and you're surprised they're expired? But then you state that you told the manager you purchased the last bag "last nice" (which I'm assuming meant "last night" which would indicate you bought them on October 30.
I'm not quite sure you understand what you're talking about.
I don't understand them not looking around for them because that's dumb. It would have taken the staff all of two seconds. But I can understand why they didn't call the people who were working the night before. When I'm not at work, I don't want to be bothered with calls from work asking me questions.
It is incredibly negligent of them not to pull these expired products but this is why I always check the expiry date, both when purchasing and before use. It saves a lot of hassle. I think you should file a complaint with the Health Board because many other parents may not have caught it in time.
I think this person is the parent of the children in question...and in that case, he has every right to be angry. I know I would be.
That poor dog! Definitely follow up on this. Accidents happen but they should have contacted you on the proper contact number! Totally unacceptable. Hopefully your dog is doing okay!
Her attitude was completely uncalled for---but I kind of understand at the same time. If a line-up is occuring at the cash, the cashier is automatically the one blamed. They are the ones who get in trouble from higher management when people complain that it took too long to check-out. What people usually don't notice is the fact that it's the customer that's holding up the line, doing exactly what you did: searching for a coupon. Anyhow, it still doesn't excuse the rude manner in which you were treated. It may be frustrating to the cashier but she shouldn't express how she feels.
It's like Wal-Mart; they NEVER staff en0ugh cashiers. So for those people like you and me (I have two children and although I try to be prepared, my wallet is not always where it should be when shopping!) we don't feel so rushed by the cashier because there are other cash areas open.
If only big corporations would learn...
:-)
Personally, I think 45 minutes is pretty generous. They need time to check your luggage and let you get through security. I kind of side with the airport on this issue. I wouldn't want to be sitting on a plane, being held up, because someone forgot something and had to return home to get it. Or someone else wanted to make a stop at McDonalds on their way to the airport. Or someone else just didn't feel like getting out of bed on time. I know it doesn't mean anything, but that's just my two cents...
Crispy is spelled wrong (not "chrispy").
Ordered is not spelled "orderd"
Which is not "wich"
Ontario is not spelled "Ontiaro"
Replacement is not spelled "replacmeant"
And several other words are capitalized when they do not require it.
Plenty of spelling mistakes there, louisstevenson.
But if the set is no longer available, how do you expect them to replace the exact same set?
"no advail you find your bagel is naked:?( How wrong is that?"
Heeheehee...
I'm sorry...I totally agree with you and most places are like this (don't pay attention, just don't care, etc.) but the way you worded that just made me laugh. Thanks!
If they operated by the "but I was in line before the cut-off time!" they would never get finished serving breakfast. I understand their point.
First of all, they wouldn't tell the lady to tell her kids to shut up because kids (for the most part) are unaware of how rude they're being because they're young. Teenagers (or young adults) on the other hand, are perfectly capable of behaving themselves but sometimes choose not to, especially when they've been drinking, as you clearly stated.
I'm not sure of what exactly went on during this whole transaction but I suspect there's a little more than you're letting on.
If you go there 2 to 3 times a week, shouldn't you basically know what's on the menu by now?
I know a lot of retail stores have that policy: if you return an item without a receipt, you will receive a credit of what the item is currently worth, not what it was worth when the item was bought. This is to prevent people from returning Christmas items (for example) in January and receiving a full refund, while the same product is now discounted for fifty or seventy-five percent off. It is kind of a stupid policy but I also see where the company is trying to save their own behinds.
Also, they need your personal information to record the fact that you've returned an item without a receipt. People do that quite often and if the store lets it happen with no way of recording who's returning what, they could lose a lot of money.
What does "plown" mean anyway?
One issue, though: we have bosses to answer to. If we were to "delight and help" every customer that comes into our store, we would be fired with a capital "F". I'm not saying some CSRs out there aren't rude because they can be, but just remember they can't go above and beyond for everyone because then our jobs are on the line. And quite frankly if I have a choice between making a customer happy and keeping my job so I can continue to support my family, the job will win.
Well, yeah, it kind of is your fault for missing the check-in deadline. Can't blame the airline for following policy. I don't fly very often and even I know that (especially as of late) you should always be at the airport at LEAST two hours in advance.
Well you shouldn't be leaving an animal in the back seat of a car while you are in a restaurant or a store. I cringe when I see insensitive people do that.
Oh, I'd be going after her job. That is completely unacceptable. So sorry you had to deal with that! :-)
Why didn't your mother stay inside the store while you went into the parking lot? I have to admit, seeing two people eat food and then step outside the store without paying does seem suspicious...I'm not saying that's what your intentions were. Just that I understand why they would suspect something.
It's so they can track how many returns you are making. Regardless of how you paid, they still need to know if you return only once in a blue moon or twice a week.
