Price Chopper – Management and employees conduct

On July 29, 2025, at 9:05 pm, my fiancé and I were trying to check out and entered a lane that had no straps over the entrance or closed lane signs, with lights on for advertisement displays. While we waited to be served, we noticed employees at the other end looking at us and then putting their heads down as if avoiding us. A man, identifying himself as the store supervisor, told us to go to the self-checkout, explaining they were short-staffed and had been for over a month. I asked why the person at the self-checkout didn’t signal us to come over, but the supervisor just smiled and looked away. Then, a tall man joined the conversation, pointing at the signs and acting disrespectfully toward me and my fiancé. When I asked who he was, he claimed to be the store manager. I requested his information, and he wrote down his name as Jacob Hine (though it was hard to read). The manager then began pacing back and forth, puffing himself up as if he was going to strike me. We noticed other staff surrounding us, so we left as quickly as possible.
