I want anyone considering a Porsche Taycan to know about our experience in Turkey.

My name is Hakan Azap, and I am a dentist in Turkey. In May 2024, after thirty years of hard work, I finally bought the Porsche I had dreamed of since childhood. My wife and I purchased a brand-new Taycan 4S from Doğuş Oto Maslak, registered in her name.

For us, this car was a dream we would finally be able to enjoy as a family after years of work. I trusted Porsche's engineering, and I believed the brand would stand behind us if anything went wrong.

Today, instead of enjoying our car, we are following expert reports, court proceedings and updates from the service center.

The problems began before delivery. Because of the delivery delay, we had to send a formal notice through a notary on May 17, 2024. The car was delivered on May 19.

Subsequent inspections, initially prompted by problems with the protective film, revealed much more serious findings. A court-appointed expert's report dated January 23, 2025 documented signs that the hood mounting hardware had been removed and refitted, paint touch-ups, and evidence of work in the right front fender mounting area. The vehicle was assessed as having latent defects.

Learning about the condition of a car you bought brand-new through an expert report deeply undermines your trust. You can no longer look at a car whose keys you accepted with such happiness in the same way.

The court of first instance ordered the vehicle to be replaced with an equivalent vehicle free of defects. The other party appealed, so the proceedings are ongoing and the ruling is not yet final.

While we were waiting for that process to conclude, we experienced another incident on August 7, 2026.

The Taycan was charging in our home's enclosed garage when it began displaying electrical system warnings. I saw a temperature reading of approximately 63°C on the display. Repeated warnings telling me to leave the vehicle followed, and the car became completely unresponsive.

I was in my own garage, beside a car that was telling me to get out but that I could not move. I was able to open the driver's door mechanically.

No fire occurred. But I cannot forget the helplessness of seeing those warnings in an enclosed garage, fearing for my home and family, and being unable to get the car outside.

Service assistance was needed to remove the vehicle from the garage. With an external 12-volt power supply, it was possible to move the car and load it onto a recovery truck.

The vehicle was taken to Porsche Center Mersin on August 8, 2026 and later sent to Bursa. On August 20, we were informed that a temperature sensor fault had been found in the high-voltage battery and that battery modules 1 and 2 needed to be replaced under warranty.

As of October 15, 2026, our car is still at the service center. We still do not have a confirmed return date.

We have received explanations about parts being sourced from Germany and customs procedures. But after each explanation, we find ourselves waiting again. We have no firm answer about when this wait will end.

A Macan was provided as a temporary replacement vehicle and has helped with our transportation needs. I am grateful for that. However, the problems with our Taycan and the dispute that has continued since we bought it remain unresolved.

When we first reported the defects, a response from Porsche in Germany saying that the matter would be looked into gave us hope. We also received acknowledgments of later submissions. Yet today there is still no concrete resolution that addresses the full history of our case and brings these problems to an end.

This has taken a heavy emotional toll on my wife and me. There have been nights when we sat together and cried.

Some people may find it hard to understand why a car could cause so much distress. But for us, this purchase represented years of work and a dream carried since childhood. The car we thought we would enjoy as a family has become a problem we are constantly discussing at home.

I once waited for the day I would sit behind its wheel. Now I wait for a service message, an update about parts, or a solution that will finally end this uncertainty.

My request to Porsche is clear: review our case in its entirety, from delivery to the present; fulfill our request for a replacement vehicle free of defects; and provide us in writing with the concrete steps, the responsible point of contact and a timetable for resolving this matter.

The expert report, court ruling and service correspondence are available. I can share the relevant documents with personal information redacted.

Since childhood, I had imagined the day I would own a Porsche. I never imagined that, after that day finally came, I would find myself writing a complaint like this.

Our family is now waiting for a resolution that allows us to trust the brand again.

Desired outcome: Replace our Taycan 4S with an equivalent vehicle free of defects, review the full case history, and provide a written resolution plan with a responsible contact and a clear timetable.
