Petco review: Grooming

I took my goldendoodle for his groom and bath appointment on november 4,2023 at the statesboro, ga location. I asked if they had experience in grooming goldendoodles which she replied "we do them all the time". They said it would be between 2-4 hours bc they were short staffed. 3 hours into it, I see my baby being shaved in the glass. we specifically talked beforehand and said do not make him look like a poodle or shave him. I went and immediately told her that better not be Cash (my dog). She said I will go talk to the groomer. The groomer came out, and they said it was miscommunication between her and the lady that checked him in bc she went to lunch while Cash was getting groomed. We got the manager over there and he was rude and said well what do you want me to do? We can't put the hair back on him. I was so upset and wanted to cry! Cash is turning 1 on the 11th and pictures will be ugly. The manager said, he has seen uglier. He apologized for the "miscommunication" of his staff. Needless to say, it's winter, it's cold and I feel like Petco should supply clothes for him. He goes everywhere with us and now it will take forever for him to look decent again. I do not recommend ever going to Petco for any reason, esp not a groom and bath. On top of that, he was shaved very uneven, and did not even get a bath! They turned my $2300 baby into a $2.00 looking mutt.
