The Petco store at the Waterfront in Pittsburgh is posting reduced prices on the cat litter, then you are being charged the normal price at the register. Yesterday, I bought 2 bags of cat litter which was posted at $34.99. The Pal Rewards posted price was supposed to be $26.99. I was charged the $34.99. I took them to my car. As I thought about the price that I paid, I went back in and double checked to make sure that there was no mistake on my part. I brought it the attention of the girl that checked me out. She had me bring back the bags that I just bought. She called the manager. The manager was rude to me and said that the bags had a different bar code. I said "so what, I would like to buy them at the advertised price, $26.99". She said that she couldn't do that. That is the very definition of "Bait and Switch". I requested my money back. By the way, that was the second time for me at that store. The manager needs to be fired, providing that corporate does not know about this. If corporate is behind this, the State Attorney needs to get involved. I wonder how many people paid the normal price and never caught it...?
Desired outcome: Fire the manager, stop this illegal practice and let me purchase future bags of litter at the reduced price.
