I normally don’t write reviews like this, but this time it was absolutely necessary. I contacted Pearson VUE support simply to reschedule my exam because I recently started a new job and have been fully tied up with onboarding, training, and induction. What should have been a quick, straightforward request turned into one of the most frustrating and unprofessional support experiences I’ve ever had.
I was connected with a representative named Mason, who seemed completely unable or unwilling to answer even basic questions. He insisted on “opening a case,” and when I politely asked why a case was needed, he refused to explain. Instead, he kept repeating, “Do you want me to open the case or not?” When I said I didn’t want to waste time on unnecessary follow‑ups and just needed my exam rescheduled, he rudely insisted he would open the case anyway and placed me on hold without my consent.
I was honestly shocked.
Is this really how Pearson VUE trains their support team to treat examinees? With arrogance, zero communication skills, and complete disregard for customer experience?
To make matters worse, Pearson VUE doesn’t even give examinees the ability to self‑reschedule online, forcing us to contact support. And when we do, we’re met with hostility and incompetence. It’s beyond frustrating.
No one deserves to be treated like this especially during an already stressful exam process.
If your staff are tired or having a bad day, that does NOT give them the right to take it out on customers.
I strongly urge Pearson VUE to review chat transcript Case #34119000 and train their staff on the absolute basics of customer service: respect, clear communication, and professionalism.
This experience was unacceptable, and I hope no other candidate has to go through something like this.
Recommendation: If you might ever need to reschedule your exam, I strongly recommend avoiding Pearson VUE altogether. Their system offers no simple self‑service reschedule option, and you’re forced to depend on support agents who may waste your time, refuse to answer basic questions, or treat you poorly. Save yourself the stress—choose an exam provider that actually supports candidates and respects their time.
