To whom it may concern,

I am requesting reimbursement for work performed on a unit brought in for repairs. Unit was brought into this location on 6/5/23: (peach state truck centers austell ga450 lee industrial blvd, austell, ga 30168) problem reported at time of dropoff: truck pulls hard to the left when brakes applied. Also, premature wear of steering tires (feathering). Inspection/solution reported by technician to remedy issue: visually inspected front suspension, no damage or loose components present at this time. Lifted and supported front axle, verified both king pins have no excessive play. Turned steering wheel and verified there is no binding present. Inspected and measured tie rod ends. Verified the tie rod assembly is centered. Greased all slack adjusters and s-cam tubes. Adjusted all brakes, brakes where out of adjustment, upon adjusting brakes noticed slack adjusters slightly bind in certain spot. Adjusted all tires air pressure to 100 psi. Recommend replacing all slack adjusters and reroad test truck (this did not fix the issue). Driver reported that the truck still pulls to the left, steering tires continue feathering. The truck was then diagnosed by another (mechanic shop #2), which investigated and identified the issue, stating that the front end was out of alignment, causing the steering tires to wear prematurely and causing feathering. (mechanic shop #2) recommended unit be returned to peach state truck centers. To be rechecked. Unit was brought back to peach state truck centers-austell on 6/26/23. Opon rechecking their work, technician stated:

That the truck indeed is still pulling to the left and that the truck needed a dual axle alignment, and that peach state do not perform alignments. I asked the service deck person, why was I told that the solution to this issue was the slack adjusters, including additional work performed, I was told that, in most cases replacing parts until the issues is resolved is the only choice I have. Unacceptable answer. I returned back to

(mechanic shop #2). They performed a dual axle alignment, as well as replacing left front steering tire which wore down pass safe driving recommendation. Tire tread was below 4/32nd.

(mechanic shop #2), stated that front right steering tire only has 50% tread left. (advised to continue to monitor tire tread).

On 11/01, my 18-wheeler broke down and was towed to Peach State Truck Centers. They diagnosed it with an exhaust manifold leak, a defective VGT actuator and turbo, a misfiring #6 injector, and dead batteries. I paid for the exhaust manifold leak and Doc clean, but the VGT actuator and turbo were on back order, so my truck never left their shop. I was allowed to buy the parts elsewhere, which I did in May 2022. Peach State installed the turbo and actuator and #6 injector, but they didn't change the dead batteries, so they couldn't test drive the truck. I arrived on July 23rd, 2022, with new batteries and installed them myself. They gave me receipts for the repairs and sent me on my way. However, 20 miles away, all three check engine lights came on. I called Peach State and reported the issue, and they told me to bring the truck back to the shop. I couldn't, but I had it taken to another Freightliner shop. Upon arrival, the coolant line was disconnected or busted. Peach State denies ever touching my coolant lines, but their receipts clearly show that they disconnected both the oil and coolant lines when fixing the exhaust manifold leak and installing the VGT actuator and turbo and #6 injector. They refuse to fix the problem that I already paid them to fix, and the codes are consistent with the codes that were supposed to have been fixed.
