Parts Geek power steering pump/no reply after requesting earlier promised ra. repeated lack of reply.

The Parts Geek web site is flirting with some seriously felonious practices and they need to be brought up short. There are things such as liens that can be placed on their inventory/business equipment etc. to assure that we all get our money and our costs (even legal) back as well as a possible class action suit. I am not an attorney but if there are enough of us pulling together then perhaps we can afford legal help.
The first order of business would be to create a list of wronged customers who are committed to getting their money back and stopping the criminal scamming of consumers. At the point of subscription we would retain an attorney in the city of record (sorry, can't remember the city name right now). The attorney would create an escrow account where all of our retainer and court fees would be held and only released based on actual billable time and performance of the attorney.
I am dead serious about this. I will not be taken advantage of again by a company or person who thinks that stonewalling is the way to freely rip off the public.

Parts Geek clutch kit

I ordered a clutch kit for my 2013 Dodge dart. Typically there is a description of the parts included, but unfortunately there wasn't for this. When I receive d the parts, there was no throw out bearing. The throw out bearing is a part of the clutch kit. This is a very crucial part of any clutch kit.
When I called the customer service phone number I was put on hold quite a few times. When I finally reached a human, they asked me to send them a photo of the parts I recieved, and someone would get back to me within 48 hours.
After a week with no response, I called again. The rep informed me the throw out bearing was not included and then hung up on me. Very rude, and obnoxious. I will never buy from this company again!

Parts Geek belt return

Dear Heather. This is in reference to a belt that I ordered on Amazon for a Husqvarna riding lawn mower model YTH1542XP. The part number for the belt needed is posted under the hood of the riding lawn mower. I gave Amazon that number which is, [protected]. That was crossed to your belt measuring 1/2 wide by 88 inches long. That belt is 9 inches too short And to narrow. The correct belt from Husqvarna part number is [protected]. That belt measures 21/32 Wide by 97.1/2 Long. The fault is entirely your crossover and not mine ordering.
The Amazon order number was, ORDER # [protected].
Below this message I have attached a part of the return order. I don't think that I should have to pay the postage, as it is not my mistake.

I bought a radiator from you and I had to have it replaced as it was leaking water from the top. I have tried to call you and ask some questions, I cant get a live person to answer the phone. What kind of customer service is that? I have also tried to email you and still no answer. You should answer your phone. I will no longer do business with you and will not recommend your company for parts. I have logged complaints all over the internet, your customer service STINKS

Parts Geek Return shipping

I ordered a wheel (rim) for my 2015 Nissan Versa Note (Dorman), The rim came in through FEDEX, I took it to a tire dealer to change out the one on my car for that one and the rim was defective (bent). The cost of the rim was 53.00. I got a RMA to return the rim to Parts Geek for a refund, I had to ship the bent rim to them and the cheapest shipping costs was $41.51 to get 53.00 of a refund. Parts Geek needs to get a return shipping program through FEDEX or some other carrier and give return labels to customers for returns.

Similar experience. Bought a replacement mirror but did not fit as described on website. Total shipping was $37 for a $51 refune! Not paying the shipping for wrongly described parts is crooked at best. Never again. DO NOT BUY FROM PARTS GEEK.

NEVER AGAIN... DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! I had a similar experience. I ordered an Under car Shield for my car. I took to mechanic to put on. It was wrong. I went online to Geek's return policy, filled out information to get RMA#. Never came. I started calling, took me 3 times to get through to actually speak to a person. Finally, received RMA. Took to UPS and FedEx, going to cost $50+ to ship a $44 part. Not happening! One FedEx worker offered to repackage so shipping would be cheaper. I explained that Geek's policy stated must be returned in original box. I have to leave review on this site because on their actual site you have to list the part from a drop down box. My part is not listed and it is a mandatory field...

Parts Geek Unreliable company

Once you get into trouble because of them, be prepared that all your communication will be via email.
Those people who had the same will be surprised that the partsgeek have a phone number ending with 7155, but it's non-working, so don't bother.
In general, you should stay away. Because no matter how many emails you send and get, there will be no help. I know what I am talking about.

Parts Geek deceptive sales

First, let me just start with saying they sent incomplete tracking numbers for 5 packages. At first, I only received 2 in a shipment marked "2 pieces" and couldn't not track the rest with Fed Ex because ALL of the packages had the exact same tracking number that was emailed to me from PartsGeek shipping. The result was "Delivered".

If you have an order/service question or issue, you can only fill out an online form. ONLY ONCE. (they link it to your email address). You cannot talk to a human (unless you call a sales agent and beg for help).

I ordered, among other things, control arms with ball joints for my Element. (They arrived 2 days after the 1st shipment on a Fri nite before my Saturday install appointment).
PartsGeek catalog clearly states "Features: ball joints and bushings included for a complete installation, saving time and labor (where applicable)."
Guess what? No ball joints! I was already at the shop for scheduled repair and had to pay retail upcharge for ball joints. Was totally stuck with car half apart. Didn't save time, and cost me more money.

Parts Geek response:
"None of the control arms for your vehicle come with ball joints as the vehicle manufacturer only sells the ball joints separate so that is how they come in the aftermarket. The listing stated with ball joint and bushing(where applicable) but it's not applicable for your vehicle since they are not sold that way."

Say what?!?! "Not applicable"? NOWHERE on the description or website is there a list of applicable vehicles. Honda Elements really DO have ball joints. I promise!

You can go look up the part yourselves:
[protected] Honda Element Control Arm #W0133-1839636. It clearly states "With Ball Joints"

What a bunch of SUMBAGS!

Parts Geek wrong rear brake shoes sent poor customer service

order # 15-[protected] I ordered rear brake shoes for a 2013 GMC Sierra 1500. they sent parking brake shoes that do not even go on my vehicle. They refuse to take a return unless I pay for shipping. even though it is clear their own part description talks about stopping ability and fade free braking which is clearly not related to parking brakes. They will not even talk to you they just send you emails refusing to do anything to correct the issue. Worst service ever. They have misleading part descriptions and refuse correct there own errors just shift the blame back on the customer. Horrible organization!

Parts Geek customer service — order procedures — receiving of parts

I came here because I was interested to see what kind of feed back there was on Parts Geek and wow did I find it! I have a mechanical and Body Shop so I order many parts in a year and have been doing business with Parts Geek for probably 6 or 7 years and in all that time I never once had a problem with any of their Parts, Order Procedures, Receiving of Parts or Customer Service, NEVER! I have had to use Customer Service 2 times in all these years and both times it was a problem that I created and both times they helped me and fixed the problems immediately without hassle. Once I put the wrong shipping address on a part I was buying for someone else and guess what, they told me to just "REFUSE" the part that will come to me by my mistake and they allowed me to order another one and send it to the right place. They cancelled the charge to my Credit Card and I didn't even have to pay twice. That was unbelievable trust in me and I appreciate their gesture. So do I think the 99% of all the bad reviews are FAKE---YES I do. I have referred so many people to Parts Geek to buy parts and not "1" of them has ever come back to me and complained about any problems with them. So I say if you want to buy from them go ahead, your odds of having your order come out right are 99.99%. Of course nothing is perfect and there is bound to be a problem somewhere along the way but no more than you would have with a place in your home town like Advance Auto who always have 1 in their warehouse till YOU need it then it never makes it to your store-LOL!

So, after adding photos my written comments have disappeared. Suffice it to say that I am an automotive consumer advocate with published work that was used in public school continuing education and by credit unions for their customers that requested used car loans. I am not a paid hack or imposter!
I bought a PS pump from PG that arrived in a filthy damaged box. After contacting them I was convinced that to get an RA I would have to install it first. The lousy box and bolt heads that have grind marks on them didn't seem to be enough to get the RA. Fast forward to now... I have (after one initial successful contact with them) not received reply to the following four. In the only reply from them Roman set up a catch 22. To quote: "Hello the rebuilt pump you ordered looks to be in normal condition, the pump would have a nominal amount of fluid inside to keep the internals lubricated and prevent the pump from freezing up. So if there is any issue when you install the part please contact me at Romen@partsgeek.com and I will have a prepaid shipping label sent to you to return the part if its proven to have any issues".

Sincerely,
Roman M.
Returns Department Supervisor

Roman knows that I did install it and that it had issues from the get go. I never received an RA. My next move is to contact the BBB in NJ. Wish me luck.

Parts Geek website errors, return policy, customer service

Ordered two a/c hoses for my Subaru, the discharge line and the suction line.

Received two of the exact same hose with different part numbers on part bags.

Email Parts Geek (PG) to tell them I got two of same though ordered two different and wanted to return one and get the one that wasn't sent.

PG replied send specific part back, I pay for shipping. Asked for them to pay return shipping since their error. On website one part described as suction line and other as discharge line. They said "no, you got what you ordered, you pay".

Their RMA instruction gave specific part number for me to return and warned if return wasn't done just so wouldn't get refunded. The part number I was instructed to return WAS NOT on the parts or the parts bags. So had to exchange emails "this 'xxx' is what you said to return, parts I have are labeled 'yyy' and 'zzz', which part is it I'm supposed to return? They provided instruction which to return based on part #s I had.

All the email took about two weeks because always took one to two days to respond.

An early email I asked for a customer service number. Called that number about 15 times in four days at various times of day. ALWAYS got fast busy tone, never a busy signal, never a ring. Never got to them on phone.

I will never buy from them again. Whenever I talk about auto service with people I will always recount the story of horrible Parts Geek service. And I will repeat this story on any other consumer opinion website I can find as well as Facebook.

Take your business elsewhere! If there is any issue with your order their perspective will be its your problem. Wish I had done a web search before ordering and I would have gone elsewhere.

Parts Geek parts geek order # 15-[protected]

I needed new wheel bearings for my Audi. I placed my order with Parts Geek on 5/19/17. I received an email telling me that the order shipped and gave a UPS tracking # on 5/20. When I order parts ... I need them now. I was thrilled to see that the order had shipped on 5/20. Now I find out that even though the package was allegedly shipped, UPS did not receive it into one of their facilities until 5/24. Instead of getting my parts this week, when I need them, the projected delivery date is now 6/1.
I need to ask ... REALLY? two weeks to get the auto parts that I need right now? In this day and age you can get nearly anything you want overnight. I would have paid extra to get the order sooner, but I was not given that option at check out. Next time I will use Amazon or some other reputable vendor. It will probably be more expensive, but I can count on them. One thing is for sure, I will not be using Parts Geek again, and I will be sure to broadcast my discontent widely. Making sure that others read negative reviews will make me feel better.
I did complain to their customer service department. I received this response:
"A customer support staff member has replied to your support request, #[protected] with the following response:

This ticket does not require a response in order for it to remain closed.

If you still have a inquiry. Please advise, as I will be more than happy
to assist you."

These [censor] won't even respond to an upset customer! Unprofessional!

Parts Geek terrible customer service

I ordered a new CV joint and axle assembly for my 1993 MR2 Turbo. Parts Geek's database identifies the incorrect part (not even close to physically the same size!) When trying to return the part their customer support first refuses to believe me that the part is incorrect (even when I show them pictures of the correct part and their incorrect one), spends days running me around in circles via email, then they flat out refuse to pay for the return shipping. They claim "they provided me a service"! More like a disservice, by identifying the WRONG part and then wasting all my time to figure that out and return their mistake.
Ultimately, I would have to say avoid this company. Others have the parts just about as cheap and Part Geeks customer service was just about the worst I have EVER experienced. Shop elsewhere my friends...

Parts Geek wrong part return issue

First of all, let me say I had never had an issue with Parts Geek until my most recent experience. I ordered a K&N filter for my car. The package arrived and even though the box the filter was in had the correct part number for my car, the filter inside was clearly the wrong filter. (my cars filter is 10.75 inches long by 7.125 inches wide; the filter in the box is 13.5 inches long and 5.25 inches wide). Followed the return process mandated by Parts Geek for returns. Initially told to use a return number and pay for the return shipping (even though they provided the wrong part). Then I received a vague message about a "route carrier" stopping by to pick up the package. This was clarified to say that FedEx would try 3 times to stop by and pick up the package. This was a week ago and, to date, no attempt has been made. When I inquired as to whether I was expected to sit home all day awaiting these attempts, I was told to call customer service at K&N filters. Why, I don't know as I did not order directly from K&N. VERY dissatisfied with Parts Geek at this point.

Parts Geek troublesome site

Do not waste your time and money buying from Parts Geek, their site is the worst. They sent me wrong parts twice and when I demanded a full refund they said they were not able to do that. Parts Geek is probably the worst auto parts seller, they are very unprofessional and made a terrible mistake which caused me nothing but trouble.
And when they tried to fix their own mistake they made it even worse!
I had two sets of wrong part and my order was missing.
I can't believe these people are still in business, they simply don't know anything about customer service! I will not buy from them again.

Parts Geek wrong item received fraudulent return practices

I ordered control arms for my 98 Chevy 3500, I searched for the item on their site and the ones I ordered showed up as a direct fit. When they arrived the control arms were 4 inches to small width wise and 3 inches too long length wise. Also in 98 Chevy 2500's and 3500's had torsion bars that slide into a hole in the lower control arms, the control arms that I received were set up for springs which were not an option in 98 for the heavy gvwr models.

I called to return the part and spoke with "John" who told me on the phone numerous times that when he went into partsgeek.com and put in my truck information a different part # showed up and that I would have to pay to have them shipped back since it was user error. I had already paid $50+ to have them 2 day shipped despite that fact that it still took a week and a half to arrive so I did not agree with this. I asked to speak with a supervisor. "John" put me on hold and then came back on the phone pretending to be someone else, the "supervisor". When I said you are the exact same person that I was just speaking with the background exploded with laughter and this person hung up on me.

I called back and immediately asked to speak with a supervisor. I was forwarded to "Adam". I started off by telling him what happened on the previous call, I said I don't know what kind of operation you are running over there but that is very unprofessional. Adam replied "You want to know what kind of operation we are running over here? We have been in business for 14 years, ship out over 10, 000 parts per year, and have an international customer base. Good day sir" and hung up on me as well!

This company is very unprofessional and is run by a bunch of rude child acting employees. Paid extra for fast shipping arrived slower than ground service from any other company, wrong part delivered, will not back up their mistakes, rude employees across the board. Avoid at all costs

Parts Geek super slow delivery!

I was supposed to receive my order at the beginning of August but nothing arrived. When I contacted PartsGeek customer service they said that they had some difficulties with the delivery and said they'll contact me back soon.
Few days later I received a call from PartsGeek support who said that my order will show up on August 5th, but that did not happen. Then they promised I'll get my stuff on August 10th and still nothing! Recently called them again but they did not pick up. Total scam! I want my money back!

Parts Geek part shipped did not fit the year and make of vehicle requested

On May 2, 2016 I ordered a Fuel pump push rod for a 1964 chev corvette 327 small block engine. The part was shipped on May 2, 2016 from order fulfillment center in Corona, CA 92883.

Included in the box was a packing slip referring to Package ID#9110541. It states before returning the part you must first contact a seller to obtain and MRA#, and states (see number on front of packing slip). However, on the front is a fax # only of [protected]. We have attempted to call Partsgeek phone number listed on a search of my I-phone and have called them several times, and have left messages. We have yet to get a call back.

The part was $21.75 plus postage.

This is what I ordered I copied this from the e-mail I was sent verifying my order. "1993 Ford Probe Clutch Pressure Plate and Disc Set Transmission Price: $44.07 Core: $0.00 Qty: 1 Part #: SD614." Needless to say I was surprised when all I got was a clutch disc. I'm no lawyer but isn't that false advertising? They even had a picture of the whole set I was supposedly ordering. I think I'll stick with ebay. Haven't had any problems with them.
