I am filing this statement to formally report misrepresentation and dishonesty by Palm Beach Tan during the dispute process regarding a charge for tanning products I returned in person due to a serious allergic reaction.
Despite the fact that I physically returned the products and showed the staff the rash and swelling I experienced from using them, Palm Beach Tan falsely claimed in their response to my bank that I did not return any products. This statement is completely untrue and is a direct lie intended to protect the merchant from a rightful chargeback.
The returned items included:
• Crystal Sunshine Lotion
• Amethyst Facial White Bronzer
These are the exact items shown on the product list Palm Beach Tan submitted as part of the dispute evidence. However, while they listed the items purchased, they failed to note the return, and do not provide return receipts — something I was explicitly told in-store.
This means that not only did Palm Beach Tan:
1. Fail to document the return in their system,
2. Refuse to provide any return receipt, and
3. Observe and acknowledge my physical allergic reaction,
— they also chose to intentionally lie to the bank, stating no return occurred at all.
This is a serious misrepresentation and violates consumer protection standards. Their dishonesty has contributed to an unjust financial outcome for me, and I am requesting that this be thoroughly investigated and rectified.
Claimed loss: Lotion’s total to $190.79Plus, pain and suffering and then being dishonest I believe I deserve the full $276.74 back in my account.
Desired outcome: Full refund admission to the fact that I returned the products
