I hired them to put in a air scrubber because they offered a deal that discounted the scrubber when getting your air ducts cleaned. Four months later I had my regular A/c guy come in to do the annual cleaning and checkup on my unit and I told them about the scrubber that was installed. He looked at my a/c unit and asked where did they install it? I said behind the panel of the unit, he said that was an incorrect place to install it and was doing nothing. The other reason it was incorrect there is a safety light on the unit and it is lit when the unit is working properly and when it is out that means something is wrong. When he removed the panel and looked at the scrubber the light was out the unit was not working at all the bulb inside the scrubber was broken and the installation was totally done incorrectly. My A/C guy had to uninstall the scrubber cut an excess into the intake conduit which he showed me that it says how to install it on the unit with arrows showing vertically that should be facing so the air flows through it. Instead they installed after the intake and had it put in so the arrows on the scrubber were facing horizontal. So the air was never flowing through it correctly when and if it was ever working. I called One hour heating and air conditioning in Hilton Head and they are out of business. I called at least three different locations and since they are all franchise they would not come out to repair it and none of the locations would give me their corporate number. So I had to spend another 600$ to have my guy repair it.
Claimed loss: 2000$
Desired outcome: reimburse me the 600$ the cost of hiring another a/c company to fix what they installed incorrectly
