They were all great and totally worth the slightly higher price compared to the other plumbers. They respond real fast to any issue and have fixed them super quick.

I had Ashton Plumbing Heating Air come over in December to fix a clogged kitchen drain. The plumber was at my place for 2 hours and managed to clear it up. However, they ended up charging me a whopping $585 for just those two hours. I immediately called the company to express my concerns, and they promised that someone would call me back. But, surprise surprise, that call never came. Since then, I've left two messages on their website's contact page, but still no response. I'm not worried about the quality of their work, but I do feel like they overcharged me big time, and their lack of communication is really disappointing.

I had a HVAC system where heat pump stopped working. Ashton Plumbing Heating Air is a great company. I gave them a call and they sent their technician. He spent 30mins figuring out the issue and finding the location. They ordered the part, a new transformer on the air handler, and after a few days, my heat was back on. This is the 2nd time Ashton has fixed my HVAC system. They're always busy, but that's because they do a good job. I won't be calling anyone else in the future except them.

I had an inspection scheduled for my heat pump on Jan 18, but the technician didn't show up. I had to call and found out that they were really busy. Finally, they came the next morning and offered a $50 discount for the inspection. The technician discovered that the motor was burned and gave me a rough estimate of around $8,000 to replace it, or $13,000 to replace the entire heat pump unit. They also mentioned that the wait time would be about 36 weeks. I asked them to email me the quote and invoice, but I ended up getting charged $138.71 on Jan 19 without receiving any email or follow-up since then. Interestingly enough, I decided to get a second opinion from a different company and they fixed my heat pump in just two days, and at a much lower cost compared to Ashton's original quote. It turned out that the issue wasn't even with the motor. Personally, I won't be using this company again and I won't recommend them to any of my friends.

I asked Ashton Plumbing Heating Air for a quote to replace my water heater. A guy from Ashton came over and checked it out. He noticed a sticker from a competitor on my furnace that had reminders for when to replace the filter, etc. He just ripped it off right in front of me. I asked him why he did that, and he said it was about carpet cleaning and that we didn't need it anymore. I was shocked and angry. He shouldn't have done that. It was really rude. Plus, he gave me a ridiculously high quote to replace my water heater, which I will definitely decline. I'll take my business elsewhere to a company that respects competition and doesn't lie to my face. It was a really terrible experience. I'm glad it was only for a quote.

Be aware! They offer a free estimate (many others don't), so we asked them to give us a quote. From the time the guy arrived, he badmouthed my furnace, saying that it was a low-end furnace. He told me that I needed a new gas valve and that it would take 6 months to get the part and cost $1200 installed. He told me twice that I should just get a new furnace because many of the other parts would soon start to go. He seemed to be more interested in selling me a furnace than solving my problem, which was no heat in mid-January. I blew him off. *** Don't be drawn in by these guys with their offer of a free estimate. If you read some of the other bad reviews on this site, you will see that these guys are unethical. Avoid!

I had an appointment with Ashton Plumbing Heating Air to get an estimate. They told me they would come between 12 and 2 the next day. But on the day, I got a call at 9 am saying they wanted to come right away. I told them I had other things to do and would be home at the original time they asked for. About an hour later, they called again saying the technician wanted to come immediately. I left my meeting and hurried home. The technician arrived and we talked about the problem. He didn't give me much information about how to solve it. He said his boss needed pictures of the job site and went to his truck, probably to talk to his boss. Two minutes later, he and the truck were gone. I assumed he went to work on the quote. Two days later, I called their office to ask about the quote. They asked for my email address and said they would email it to me. It's been 6 days since we first talked, and I still haven't received the quote. Ashton Service Group doesn't seem to care much about their customers, and they don't communicate well. It would be common courtesy to let the customer know if they don't want the job instead of leaving them hanging!

I called Ashton Plumbing Heating Air for a smart thermostat installation. Their website says they do these installations, so I wanted to give them my system's model number and get a rough estimate. But they said they can't provide that information without a technician coming to check things out. The receptionist also said they can't give historical pricing figures because the prices are determined on-site. (How can they offer a specialized service without any price range?!) I asked if a technician could call me to discuss if it's worth their visit or if they think they can't do the job, or even just give a ballpark estimate over the phone. The office said no, the technicians are too busy to call customers. (What?) This seems like an unethical business practice. I've heard of companies that only give quotes on-site so they can charge a service fee and then charge for the actual work. Ashton Service Group only told me they charge by the tasks, not by the hour, but they couldn't give me a list of prices for those tasks. I called other places today and they couldn't give me a quote either, but they agreed that Ashton's response was unethical. They suggested finding a place that can at least give a general quote over the phone, considering the information I provided. I decided not to use Ashton Group Services based on this experience, and I won't be calling them again in the future.
