Poor process and questionable integrity.I have reached out to schedule a house move. I have picked up with the coordinator the dates then I have received a quote by mail and I have accepted it the same day. Then I have received a voicemail that the days are no longer available. Then, to my surprise, I got booked automatically for another date without any conversation and consent from my side. And I keep getting e-mails from them to confirm the new date and the quotation.I understand that they are applying for the Best of ComplaintsBoard.com award this year and they sent me even a link to support them by voting...So I am reacting to their request and I am writing this review.In my view, they still have some work to do before aspiring to that award.

The Olympia Team was absolutely amazing from start to finish. *** quickly did a FaceTime chat with me to do a walk through of our home to establish the size of truck and crew for our move, got the moving/parking permits all set, and coordinated with us when we had to adjust our move date. The moving crew themselves were wonderful. ***, *** and the rest of the guys were incredibly friendly, courteous, and careful. They disassembled and reassembled all our furniture, packed it so it was all protected, and set everything *** in the new home to make the move as seamless, pointless and quick as possible. I could not recommend the entire team at Olympus any more. They will have our business for every move! Thanks everyone, it really was a pleasure!

I want to offer a personal caution. I found out Sat that my 98 year old mother is dying in a few weeks. I need to get all of my remaining stuff out of her house so after she dies the house can be cleaned and put up for sale. From *** through Wed I was calling them and exchanging emails. I was also moved between 4 people. I was told they could do it this Sat then it was changed to ***. The last time I called an operator (?) told me yeah the phone rings all the time. I was never given a 'Moving ***' or the link for the 'secure portal' for credit and debit cards. I had told them this HAS to be done. Tired of not getting a solid answer to my request (after being told we let our work speak for itself) I gave up and hired a local company. AAM "

When I booked to moved, *** was easy to get a hold of, personable and quickly provided a competitive quote for me. ***, *** and *** were incredible. They were fast, efficient and professional, giving us updates on how we were doing with timing and communicating when and if they needed to use packing products. When each part of the move was completed, the moving team had us complete walk throughs to make sure everything needed to be removed was. At the completion of the move, *** went through our invoice and explained it thoroughly. Weve never used movers before and were pleasantly surprised that we didnt have to lift 1 box. For piece of mind and speed and making the move easier, I highly recommend Olympia Moving, and suggest requesting this team!

Moving always seemed as daunting as buying a new car. Its something I had to do but dreaded it. That was until I found Olympia Moving. My salesperson, ***, was incredible. He could teach a Masters Class in customer service. The feelings of anxiety and being overwhelmed dissipated after speaking with ***. He walked me through the process, the pricing; everything. On the day of the move, the men were rang my doorbell exactly at 8am (requested time). If your lucky enough to have Gab and his crew, then you are in for a treat; never stop working. They are so kind, courteous and professional. Everything was packed and handled with the upmost care. My experience could not have been better. I cant stress this enoughif your moving call Olympia and ***.

I highly recommend Olympia Moving and Storage. I was a little nervous because this was my first experience hiring a moving company. Learned about this company from the ComplaintsBoard.com. Everyone was very professional and helpful from *** to *** St. *** and the movers, Mr. and Mr. The truck arrived on time to pick up items for delivery to my home. Mr. and Mr. did an excellent job in wrapping my piano and bookshelf so damage was not done. They handled both items as well as items and walls in my home with care, especially while carrying my piano through narrow pathways to my basement downstairs. I was very impressed with their communication with one another to ensure no damage was done. Thanks to staff at Olympia Moving and Storage for putting me at ease and making this move a smooth and successful one!

Jeremy and his team were just excellent with the great care they took of my aunt's things while packing items and upon delivery to the house and storage unit. I can't thank Brett and Candace enough for their assistance with putting this move together so quickly for us. This is now my third move with *** and second with Olympia as agent for ***, and I must say you will be my go to movers for all of my future moves and I have been happily singing your praises to everyone. Loved the fact that *** did a virtual walkthrough rather than asking us to detail everything we needed moved in order to get an estimate. *** made us feel very comfortable with the process right from the beginning.I tried to get multiple estimates, but one company did not call me back and the other wanted me to detail everything we wanted moved on my own in order for them to provide us an estimate. I did not have time for that type of task as we needed to focus on actually packing.On our move ***, ***, *** and *** were a great team. Very professional, very efficient and at the end of our move actually managed to get our oversized couch into our unit when they had doubts about it initially. They worked with my Husband to make a plan to remove treads in our riser-less staircase and they were able to get the couch onto our second floor by lifting it through the staircase. Very impressive team. I'd recommend them any day! THANK YOU!"

and *** at Olympia Moving in ***, *** were absolutely Phenomenal - and others there were also. When my husband was in the military we made moves every two years. And when he entered the corporate world, we made several moves also. We have never dealt with two people directing operations who are not only so easy and pleasant to work with but who are also so incredibly professional. They both did everything they could to make our storage with Olympia and then the actual move as easy and stress free for us as possible. Over this period, I have gotten to know them and there was never a call or an email sent that wasnt answered promptly and expertly. They really know what theyre doing and take pride in doing things the right way. And everyone from the packers to the driver had this same attitude!Olympia obviously has great leadership and it shows in the pride their employees take in what they do. They really are the best!

We used Olympia moving for our recent move from Manayunk to ***. I was sold by the sales rep, who took the time to virtually walk through our house room by room to get an estimate of how much stuff we had and what staff/truck requirements we would need - this was far more thorough than other companies I reached out to. Olympia was also very flexible with our timing requirements, which required us to move out one day, have an overnight hold, and then move in late the following day. When we panicked about a week before our move and requested a second truck, *** (our sales rep), smoothly saved the day and found additional moving help for us.I was surprised the morning of when the movers showed up even a little bit earlier than the estimated time frame, and even more surprised when after I returned from a few errands they were almost done! The same efficiency occurred for our move-in, and they kindly even rearranged furniture for me.Overall, very positive experience during what is usually a trying time. Highly recommend Olympia!

Olympia was completely unsafe, unprofessional, and inconsiderate. The movers howed up at origin over 4 hrs late with a nearly full truck when it was supposed to be empty for an intracoastal move even though arrangements were specifically made for an empty truck. I had to discard nearly half of my belongings because the movers couldn't fit everything into the nearly full truck and didn't call a second one, again, even though I had made arrangements and received a confirmed estimate that would have fit ALL of my belongings. I moved during this COVID pandemic, and not only did the movers NOT wear masks, but they also wore NO gloves, and even were SHIRTLESS while moving my personal belongings with zero consideration for others' health and safety. I soon discovered damage at destination to nearly all my moving boxes, which were heavy duty, but yet belongings, even those clearly marked fragile were tossed about into home at destination. I reported these issues immediately to management, and they did nothing about it except simply speak with their employees. It was such a horrible experience, I've let everyone I know to stay away from them.

My decision to choose Olympia Moving & Storage Company for my recent move (June ) from Newton, MA, to Bourne, MA, is definitely one I regret. Several documented particulars of the move from February until the day before were (1) the arrival time at my Newton home was to be between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m.; and (2) a team of three men would arrive on the day of the move. The reality is (1) only the Crew Foreman arrived at my home but not until 8:30 and not with an Olympia moving van but rather a *** rental truck; and (2) the other two team workers were at my home in Bourne at 8:30 a.m., apparently having been told by someone at Olympia that the move was to originate there. Those two workers had to then travel from Bourne to Newton (75 miles) to assist the Crew Foreman. Research has proven that any residential move is indeed quite stressful. In my case, that stress was intensified by the unprofessional ineptitude that was quite evident on the morning of the move. Suffice it to say there are many professional, reliable, and competent moving companies in Massachusetts. I can attest to the fact that Olympia Moving & Storage Company is clearly not one of them.

It is my pleasure to share my positive experience working with Olympia *** for my recent move. I was extremely impressed by the team led by ***. It is incredible what they were able to accomplish in a two-day period. The team members showed up on time with a positive and friendly attitude each day. They took care to drape and protect my floors, doorframes, and railings with moving blankets to ensure there was no damage. They worked efficiently to execute a well-thought-out approach to emptying the house in an organized manner that ensured we were able to quickly access our most needed items upon delivery. This team was patient and accommodated all of my requests - including requests to relocate furniture multiple times. I had several heavy and fragile items, including large decorative mirrors, and nothing was damaged - not one thing. I should mention that they were able to successfully move multiple large planters with trees and place them in their new location. Perhaps most impressively, they were able to move my 430 lbs Peloton Tread Plus and place it in an upstairs room. I highly recommend this professional team of movers. First off, *** and *** were amazing. Overall, I feel I am a pretty easy client but I like to stay informed and will call every time I have a question. They may have not answered once but then called me back pretty promptly. So from the customer service stand point it was great and they both touched base with me on the days leading up to the move.The move date came it was scheduled for 8:00am and the movers *** and ***) were there by 7:50. They were kind, curtious, and even had a sense of humor which made talking with them fun while also letting them do their job.The move was finished way ahead of schedule but they did not emphasize speed over quality it was speed and quality mixed. I also was moving to a third floor with no elevator and I never heard even one complaint they had a job, did the job, and treated me and my belongings with respect and friendliness.Overall I got a quality, friendly, efficient service for an extremely fair price compared to competitors.I used reviews like mine to help me decide who I wanted to help me move.Lastly just some friendly advice if it's your first time hiring movers like it was mine (from my experience) when looking for a company especially with trusting them with your stuff look at reviews like this and their ComplaintsBoard.com rating. That's how I chose Olympia and I couldn't have been any more satisfied!

I'm giving Olympia 5 stars for their service, but with a caveat. As far as moving services go, Olympia really does a fantastic job. *** was our *** and he was excellent as was the rest of the crew. They were friendly, efficient, and careful. They definitely know what they are doing! We worked with *** from the start to book moving services and *** was wonderful. Friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. *** also stopped by on the day of the move to check in and make sure everything was going well, which we appreciated. So, all this being said, I would highly recommend Olympia if you need a great moving company... BUT (my caveat)... if you are not local to or close to ***, just be aware that Olympia charges their hourly rate from the time their truck leaves the warehouse to the time it arrives back to the warehouse. For us, that meant we were charged for about 3 hours of time when they truck was not actually moving our belongings. Admittedly, we should have read the fine print more closely prior to making our decision. And, that being said, *** did empathize with us on this issue and work with us to reach a fair solution. I just really do wish they would reevaluate and come up with a better way to charge for travel time so folks who live a bit further out can still use their services without being burned on travel fees.I'm still giving Olympia 5 stars because ***, and the rest of the moving crew really did give us 5 star service, and it wouldn't be fair for me to ding their service based on a company policy that they have no control over. Overall, we had a great experience with Olympia.
