NTS Development Company

I got a non-renewal notice for my lease from the Grove at Swift Creek NTS Development. The property manager, who I believe is biased and has a conflict of interest, issued this notice. However, I have paid all my bills and there is no damage to the property. I honestly think this is unfair treatment and a lack of respect from the office staff. I have sent emails in the past to request repairs, but they have never been addressed. There was even a time when I was locked out of my apartment because maintenance accidentally did it during a check-up, and they wouldn't let me in. A person named *** visited a few months ago for a short period, and they were very rude and impolite. They also claimed that *** had placed wet clothes on the floor, causing a leak to my neighbor's unit. However, my friend, who works in HVAC, informed me that it was actually a pipe issue that we had no control over. I have proof of this, and the Grove fixed it for my friend but lied to me, blaming *** instead. I really love my home and want to continue living here!

On 2/4/22, I gave my 60-day notice to move out of my apartment complex. I paid a $2000 early move-out fee and filled out the necessary forms. On April 5, I walked through the move-out process with the maintenance supervisor. He mentioned that he had conducted a pre-inspection when I submitted my notice to vacate. However, I didn't receive any notification about it, even though the office claims they called me, which I never received. They charged me for the carpet, but some of the carpet was just normal wear and tear. Additionally, I was surprised to see a $15 fee on my statement for transferring the electronic back into their name, which I had never heard of before. I was told that once I paid the $2k, that would cover all the fees. Now, I have received a move-out statement stating that I owe money for the carpet and a $150 charge for concession rent, which is something I've never heard of. They don't want to explain or respond to my emails. I really need help because I have two kids, and I feel like I'm being forced to pay extra just because I complained about not being notified when someone entered my apartment without my consent, especially when it wasn't an emergency situation.

On January 15th, 2022 me and my fiancée, we went to see NTS development's Lake Clearwater Apartments in ***. They told us the price for their Pintail model apartments was around [protected] per month. We took some time, like a week or two, to think about it and then decided to join their waitlist. We didn't get any more pricing info and couldn't find any online either. We paid 153.95 for the application fees and also gave them a 400-dollar deposit to secure our spot on the waitlist. Only after we did all that, they contacted us and offered apartments that were above 1375 per month. We didn't expect the prices to be higher than what they initially told us. I know that rental prices can change, but it's really unfair to give us a price range during the tour and then surprise us with completely different rates when we apply, without any warning or more information. We had planned and budgeted based on the initial price range they gave us, and NTS development still kept the 153 dollars we paid for the application fees, even after we explained everything. I really hope I can get my money back from them. Other apartment complexes I visited and applied to told me that it's not normal for applying to the waitlist to not guarantee a fixed rate.
