Norwegian Cruise Line review: Civil rights
On 10/7/2026 We were on the Aqua at 10PM in the Syd Norman Pour House when we threatened and attacked by a group of people we did not know or have any prior contact. A woman first approached my wife and threatened her when I stepped in-between them a male passenger shoved me and attempted to hit me. I reach out to prevent him from hitting me. They were removed from the premise. When security arrived they claimed we assaulted their son. (The male that attempted to hit me) We were told we had to be detained in our cabin for till morning and we not be able to leave the shop till they completed their investigation. I pleaded for them to interview the people in the Syd Norman. Security refused to investigate the incident on the scene and said they would only rely on the security camera. My wife and left very upset to our stateroom. We had no sleep the whole night and she cried the whole time. At about 2 am I went to the Customer Service deck with elevated heart rate and ask to have my Blood Pressure checked and was told I would have to pay for that service. I refused! We were called by Paul from security and were told they advised the complaints to reconsider pressing charges because the video shows they were the aggressors and no assault took place. When we asked for a written report of the incident we were stonewalled by the ships crew. We are extremely upset that the people that caused this incident were not reprimanded about lying on a official report that could have caused me to be arrested. We believe that our civil rights were violated and we were falsely imprisoned because security refused to talk to witnesses on the scene to exonerate us on the scene!
