On a Baltic Sea cruise, NCL notified us that we were no longer going to Norway, but would be staying 2 extra (3 total) days in the port of Copenhagen, exactly one month before embarkment, so we can no longer cancel and receive any kind of refund. They did give us $50 credit to appease us, but when I tried to use the credit to book an excursion to replace the Norway day (and excursion), I was told the credit can only be used for purchases on the ship! Buyer beware! NCL can change the itinerary too late to cancel your cruise and think giving $50 to spend on the ship makes up for it. It get things can happen (weather, political disruptions, maintenance, etc...) but it's how a company responds to the changes and NCL does it very poorly.
Recommendation: We are recently retired with some resources to travel and will be looking at other cruise lines to book future travel.
