I had to be taken to the ER this morning bc my temperature went from 96.8 to 103.9 in 20 minutes of taking temps. Began having physical signs of an issue yesterday but thought it was just the cold weather. Woke up with severe acid reflux past my throat and into my mouth and coughing all morning. Body aches, chills, the fever, muscle spasms, fatigue, and in severe pain. Waited for 4 hours at the NorthShore Evanston ER 30 mins drive north of me and never did anything more than triage stats and told it would be another 6 hours. So I left with no longer a fever but still body aches and fatigue. They took a nasal swab, never gave me the results and a Motrin and left me in the lobby with 103.9 fever. They asked me if I wanted them to contact your office and said yes. Upon leaving I was told they never did and wouldn’t bc I refused to wait 10 hours for no guarantee of service. Made an appt follow up with you on 12/4 as a precaution. I will go to urgent care if things don’t remain manageable again before then instead of the ER. I only went there bc I knew Urgent care would refuse me with a temperature above 102/103 and they physically signs I was experiencing. I do not appreciate being yelled at by your staff when I couldn’t even walk or talk. Denied not contacting my PCP upon asking me if I wanted them to and said yes do. Spoken with my PCP and they were never notified today. What horrible liars and staff. Will never go back there again and put my life in their hands. [censored]ty people angry and rude.

Claimed loss: Loss half a day. Could have gone to another ER closer to home and not had my time and insurance money wasted. Filed a complaint asking them to review and determine if NS should even be paid for treatment and lack there od.

Desired outcome: Treated fairly and seen in a timely manner. I watched dozens of people arrive after me be seen in the four hours I waited. Horrible service, provider staff was rude and yelling.
