To all, greetings. I have been a "patient" with Brave Health for about a year.
Within this time, I have had wonderful Psychiatrists. Not one had lasted more than 2 months of care. Being very sensitive with with my personal life when it comes to my mental well-being, I feel like I am in the Foster Care System with this company. For medication management, it WAS good at first for 4 mnths with ABBEY, then was informed I will have a new advisor as Abbey was leaving.
3 more since, Now I have had a change in the medication which I believe is causing a serious side effect and "there is no one home" to get my urgent calls, texts or otherwise. Steer clear. Have your Primary Doctor help search for a local Psychiatrist that can monitor & prescribe the proper medications with care; it is scary. I am having the worst side effect & no return calls or texts. So, Reliability is found elsewhere, no with Brave Health: my well being can not be toyed with.

My kid has been attending Brave Health for some time. We're trying to get a letter signed by his doctor for ID card renewal. The regulations require a doctor's signature. We asked the office to explain that this is standard for the Dependency section. We've been calling since March 2022 and were directed to a specific office. The staff there claimed doctors don't sign letters. Without a signed letter, my kid risks losing health insurance and medication. To date, we've received no letter, even after promises of assistance. We hope the CEO can intervene. Thank you.

I've been getting counselling since early this year. The counsellor I was assigned was great until she decided to leave Brave Health and take personal time. The next provider I got is ok but when she gave me my next appt time, she evidently forgot to lock it in. this was a month ago. Emails and calls have gotten me nowhere.

This just sucks. Your customer service contact is pathetic

I am so glad that I never got very far with Brave Health. I began laughing when the service representative told me we would begin with 80 questions to complete within the hour. I thought she was joking and trying to make me feel more comfortable. In short, I was extremely stressed and my head hurt by the end of the hour. And then, the representative told me she needed to take another call because our session wasn't completed. I will need to do the process all over again to be "accepted." 2 stars were given because none of this was the representative's fault.

I went on this site cuz my insurance told me to. My life's been a mess since my son died and I need help. But after I read the reviews, I'm out. I can't deal with staff who can't even understand my insurance. No thanks.

I had a bad experience with Brave Health, Inc. I tried to sign up as a patient on 5/26, but they said they took my insurance when they really didn't. They scheduled me for a video interview with a doctor, but I got a rep instead. Then, they rescheduled me for today, but I got a psych nurse who wasn't licensed in NY. When I called to ask about my insurance, they couldn't find it. Later, they called me back and said they didn't take my insurance after all. It's really upsetting and scary to think that they just wanted my personal info and didn't care about giving me services. I hope I don't get a bill from them. I just want everyone to know that they trick you into giving them your personal info.

They said they take my insurance, but they can't tell me how much I'll have to pay. I had to call my insurance and they didn't know either. BraveHealth can't even tell me how much they charge for an evaluation because they don't have the right codes. They said I'll be charged after the visit, which doesn't make sense. I work in health insurance and I know that people should know how much they'll have to pay before getting services. My first appointment was a disaster. No one showed up and I had to call them multiple times to set up a new one. When I finally saw the psychiatrist, I didn't like her at all. She was dismissive and didn't seem to care about my problems. She said I was an addict just because I mentioned I was in treatment a long time ago. She refused to treat me unless I went to AA, which I can't do because I'm in a wheelchair. I only wanted psychotherapy to go with my medication, but she discharged me because I didn't agree with her. Later, I got a bill for over $500 saying the visit wasn't covered. I feel like I got scammed and I'm really angry.
