NJ Transit bad customer service

On sunday 4/7 I took the bus 606 going to princeton at 11:25 pm on chestnut and greenwood ave. The driver was not courteous she made me pay twice, I think she needs to pay more attention and needs to coordinate with the riders. She confused me, at the beginning I put money then she said wait to next stop to put the rest. When I tried I dropped a couple dimes because she stoped to quick. She got upset had to sit down. Then she said pay so did I she said wasn't enough she couldn't see that I had already paid. Check the cameras of the bus, she needs more attention. She shouldn't be driving a bus, I noticed her foot she was wearing a bandage wasn't walking ok. She looked too tired I felt sorry for her. Any more info call me. [protected]

NJ Transit north jersey coast line train service

I am a daily commuter from Matawan to New York Penn Station taking the 7:03 am train out of Aberdeen-Matawan. I wonder why we have to get on 30 year old train when this is a heavily traveled commuter rush-hour train into NYC. The single decker trains have been around for way too long. The seating and conditions of these trains are horrific. They are in terrible condition, there is not enough seating for everyone and the entire train is filthy beyond belief. When was the last time someone took a mop or glass cleaner to these trains?

You are investing $800 million in a development project in Aberdeen/Matawan but you can't even provide good and clean riding conditions for the passengers who are your bread and butter. Take some of that $800 million and BUY NEW TRAINS, instead of building in an already over-congested area.

For someone who pays $5, 052.00 per year for your service, I expect to ride in a train that is clean and in good condition, not a filthy broken car with seats that are 100 years old. It's really a disgrace.

I am asking NJ Transit to please use some common sense and do not send in a 30+ year old single decker train on a rush-hour commuter schedule. Save the 30+ year old trains for the off-peak hours.

NJ Transit 114 local from ny

If a bus is not coming or running extremely late.. Commuters should be informed. Very unprofessional. Gave up waiting, jumped another bus which is not the one I need to get out of the super congested gate and have to figure out the remainder of how I can get home now.in addition, there was not one single njt employee in sight during the long wait to inform people and make some order out of the lines criss crossing each other. That there should have been numerous 114 buses according to your schedule., gate 222. And now it will cost me even more to attempt to get home and after working all day.

Thank you once again njt for being unreliable. At least you're consistent.

NJ Transit train service

Your 6:25AM train out of Little Silver to New York's Penn Station was canceled due to lack of Equiptment. Surely you know ahead of time that there is going to be a problem . Why does dispatch not correct this by brining in other equiptment? Your 6:40 train then arrived late and was in absolutely filthy. Sticky floors, trash everywhere and upon entering the onboard Convenience, I found it to be left in a deplorable state. With no additional cars placed on the train, there was standing room only. For what we pay every day, the service and conditions of the trains is horrible.

NJ Transit very poor service from a long term bus driver due to the way he spoke to me

Hello,

I just wanted to report Bobby the bus driver on the 402 Rt Bus driving the line to Pennsville (That is the name he provided as I informed him that I would be making a complaint). The bus that I road today which is Thursday, Feb 28 at 5:37am bus 18046.

I normally never complain and am a very fun loving and friendly person. I am in good spirits whenever I catch the bus because I own a car so do not travel on the bus often. Last week I rode the bus and he was the driver. I asked him if I could activate train tickets and I explained to him the entire situation of the train not being active and I was not sure why or how the app allowed me to purchase the tickets. While explaining, he was not in agreement with me activating the ticket and referred me to the customer service department. I was not concerned about his answer which was ultimately "no" but it was the manner at which he delivered his communication which was with anger and rudely. I network a lot so can pick up on changes in attitudes when speaking to people. I understand his experience with so many people that he cannot determine if someone is really lying or telling the truth so being calm about the situation is key. He was not calm and handled me as if I used the bus everyday and took advantage of bus drivers along the way, I have had more than a few experiences on different buses in the last couple of weeks and was not going to complain at all but was encouraged to share my experience with you guys. I would never intend to have someone lose their job but special treatment to long time riders that you have established relationships with is fine and great...New bus riders and treating them as if you've seen then before in another capacity that made you treat them negatively is wrong. Good luck and I hope this information helps your bus system.

NJ Transit Hudson bergen light rail

The light rail at-grade crossing of Paterson Plank Road in Hoboken may have saved some money when this system was built, but it now results in backups (and associated honking) for multiple blocks to the north, south, and east. It is particularly bad during rush hour.

Please let me know how far along NJ Transit is in addrsssing this well-known issue. Which grants are you applying for to design and build a separate-grade crossing? How much longer until you address the backups, honking, and mobile source emissions clogging the streets at the crossing?

NJ Transit fair money & being disrespected by driver!

Bus number 6013. Jersey City bus 119 going towards New York. I got picked up at 7:16 and I got on the bus which I used the NJ transit app to purchase my ticket to ride the bus. As I got on I was greeted in a very disrespectful manner. As soon as I showed my ticket that had 3 zones on it (while I'm in Jersey City) The bus driver yells and tells me that my ticket is wrong and that I have to pay $3.50 to go to New York. The bus driver was ready to kick me off the bus just for some money. I paid the additional $3.50 to ride the bus plus the $3.50 that I had purchased prior to getting on the bus from the app. Hopefully NJ transit has a staff meeting to treat people with respect! Money isn't going anywhere! (Got on at Wade street, male bus driver with glasses & of Latino decent, got on at 7:18am, bus number 6013 as previously stated)

NJ Transit handicap access at wesmont station

The elevators for handicapped access to trains are not working. It would be helpful if a sign was posted before paying for parking at wesmont instead of paying and finding open door and nonworking elevator. We could have gone to another station but had already paid. Please take into consideration that this station was built with great access if it works. We pay more in train fares and parking to use this station. We can go to rutherford and pay less, also park for free in east rutherford.

NJ Transit bus 780

I wait for the 780 bus going towards englewood every morning and the bus never shows up. I call saddle river to find out what time the bus will be arriving and they always tell me the next bus will arrive within 2 hours. I always get told the buses broke down or they have no bus available. I always have to take uber or lyft to work or even call out of work because I may not always have money for uber and I depend on the bus and can't even make it to work sometimes. I find this very unfair and the people at saddle river are very unprofessional and always hang up when being asked about the timing of the bus. I hope you guys can get things up and running so people can get to their destination on time. And it also happens in the afternoon as well going back to passaic.

NJ Transit nj transit bus 154 at jfk and 51st in north bergen, nj

Today at 7:55 am and 7:58 am 2 buses did not stop for me to board. Both drivers waved to me as if saying that their buses were full. I have a bus pass and want my compensation, this is not the first time this has happened. How do I collect my refund. I bought the pass on my iPhone, this is unacceptable and I'm ver frustrated and disappointed with your service or lack of it.

NJ Transit nj transit service dec 29, 2018 northeast corridor train cancellations

I am extermely disappointed with your train service or lack of train service on Dec 29, 2018. The 9:01pm and the 9:57pm trains were cancelled leaving thousands of people pushing, shoving and tempers flaring to get on the 9:14pm train. Needless to say, I was not able to board and had to wait another hour to board the next train at 10:14pm which again had pushing, shoving and tempers flaring to get on and leaving yet thousands more waiting again for the next train. In addition, the conductor on 10:14pm Train #7881 DID NOT announce the station stops.

I would like a full refund for my round trip from Hamilton to NY Penn Station $32.50.

NJ Transit unpleasant drive-by!

I just got off work at 1:45 in the morning and I was standing at the bus stop located on Fairmont Avenue and 1/9 (Southbound). I'm waiting for the 62 bus coming in from Newark which was scheduled for 1:55 however was ten minutes late. I saw the bus and used my flashlight on my cellular device to signal him that I needed to be picked up. The driver COMPLETELY ignores me, rides pass me and using the middle lane of the highway! I'm very angry and was forced to take Lyft to get home! The bus was a NABI 416.15 Transit though I couldn't get the numbers because it was dark and my anger rose the moment the driver was bypassing me. I did not appreciate it and if that's the way New Jersey Transit treats their passengers then that driver doesn't need to be in the franchise where money and our services benefits YOUR FRANCHISE. PLEASE FIND OUT WHO THE DRIVER WAS AND FIRE HIM/HER! I'M NOT SATISFIED UNTIL JUSTICE IS DONE!

NJ Transit bus driver

This evening at approximately 18:30 I was driving on Route 4 East. As I approached the Spring Valley Road exit in Hackensack I noticed a bus to my left. The hazard lights were on and I assumed it was preparing to stop ahead however instead the driver started to cut me off. I beeped to indicate I was in the lane assuming I was in his blind spot. The driver swerved back to his lane, sped up and then cut me off completely. I slammed my brakes to avoid hitting the bus. We continue to the red light at the intersection of Spring Valley Road and W Spring Valley Avenue. Picture attached. As we make the left turn we approached another traffic light and decided to take a picture of the driver to verify my complaint. As you see from the picture, he thought it would be appropriate to mock the situation and proceeded to poke him.

My issue with this driver is the disregard for my safety and that of his passengers as well as that of other drivers.

I would like for someone to coach him on road safety and his lack of professional maturity.

NJ Transit service

I can understand when the bus is late once in a while but everyday, every time is unexcusable.
81L exchange to Bayonne local is very bad.

For example. Today the bus supposed to arrive at 5:36. At 5:36 it changed to 6:04. It might change again .
One day I got to the bus stop at 5:30. Moovit says now but there is no bus until after 7pm.
This is unfair. Something got to be done.
Four no. 80 will arrive before one 81L.
This is totally undeserving..

Thank you.

NJ Transit train service

It is getting very upsetting. All of last week and now today Dec. 3rd, the 5:25 Montclair train has been cancelled. I understood equipment problems but it's the same group of people being inconvenienced. I'm a monthly ticket rider and the little discount I'm receiving, now seems out of line ... the service for me has turned in a nightly occurrence of cancelled train ... not happy at all

NJ Transit lost ticket

on Saturday 12/1 /2018 I traveled from Union new jersey to New York Penn Station with a round trip ticket and a recite dated with my credit card number and name witch you printed out from your machine . On the way back from New York I gave the conductor the return ticket and she punched it putted in my coat pocket it must have fell between my pocket and the liner of my coat . when I got on the 1:34 Rartian in Newark Penn station I realized I lost the ticket it happens to all of us, when the conductor came to collect tickets I toll her
I lost it but here is the your printed recite she precited to show the back of a ticket and said read this and refused to look at the recite or ck my ID to see if I was lying she just said you could have pick it up any place in penn station and would not listen to any thing I had to say putting me into a freeloader class of people . I was not happy with her response and if I didn't have the recite and I did not offered to pay the full fair to union which was only one stop I could see her point but there was no
reason for her response at all and I have two witness who would testify that she was out of line and we can go to court on this if you want I don't care, what implies on your ticket is if you don't have proof the fair and no ID that you were the rightful owner of that ticket in that case your are write and should treat that person as a freeloader which was not my case and the the conductor should be taught how to conductor them self correctly in all cases with people all times . Then don't print recites for fairs if you don't honor then on the date they were issued .

NJ Transit new brunswick station no handicapped access

On nov 24 the new Brunswick station was closed. I was trying to catch the 10:27 train to new York penn but that side was closed. The sign on the door said to take the elevator, but the elevator was not working so I missed that train. The only way to the track was up a lot stair. I have hard time climbing stair and my child is an extreme asthmatic. Mind you we had a really bad rain storm. I spent the next day nursing a swollen knee. That is not ok.

NJ Transit nj transit train - 11/16/18 5:15 train to dover from ny penn

I am so disappointed with how the incident was handled by conductors on the 5:15 NYC train to Dover on 11/16/18. I, as were many passengers in complete fear for my life and the conductors gave NO information, nor would the conductor that came to the first car speak to any of the TERRIFYED passengers.

I have been riding the trains for over 20 years. The problems of late have become unbearable, which is a concern, but the treatment I experienced on Friday was unbelievable.

The train left the station at 5:15, and I was on the 1st car. Inside the tunnel, something started BANGING on the side of the train, and sparks were visible. Then the lights began to flicker. The car felt as though it was shaking. The lights went out, and people from the back if the car began SCREAMING and climbing over the seats. We had NO IDEA what was going on, or what would cause people to stampede the front of the car. I have bruises on my legs from being shoved by passengers. The car began to fill with smoke, and the lights we intermittently going on and off. People were HYSTERICAL. We didn't know if we were derailing, on fire, or under some kind of attack.

When the conductor came into the car, he ran to the front to the PA system, and began radioing the rear of the train. He refused to answer people who were in a complete state of panic, as to what was happening. People we crying, thinking we were going to die. I HAD TO TRY TO CALM DOWN (myself and) other passengers! I honestly texted my husband that I thought I wasn't going to make it out of the tunnel. My heart was beating so heard, I was afraid I was going to have heart attack (which is not probable, but it sure felt that way) and yet the conductors did NOTHING to tell people to remain calm, or stay in their seats, HE GAVE ZERO INFORMATION which made people even more scared.

We bumped out of the tunnel, and came to a stop just outside of Seacaucus. People were begging them to let us off the train. Passengers were contemplating going out the emergency windows they were so terrified.

What is wrong with your conductors that they would not even direct people in an emergency as to what to do or what was happening? I was so terrified, I didn't want to get on the train again, and I have been commuting for over 20 years.

I am not looking for anything but someone to look into this incident, and find out why the conductor did not handle the situation properly so people were not terrified.

Thank you

NJ Transit bus driver

On Wednesday November 7th, at about 9am the operator of bus 18029 #563 in front window opened doors after being unable to make a turn past my vehicle and stated " You one of those Trump supporters, you a good ole boy." I responded "excuse me" and changed his tone and stated he "couldn't make the turn." Was he suggesting I'm racist because of the color of my skin. I'd like your driver to know I did not vote for Trump and because I'm white doesn't make me racist. Is this OK with NJ transit to have drivers act like this, I hope not.

I responded by suggesting the driver needed to better develop his driving skills as a bus driver. Now I will admit I was not parked in the best spot, but his attitude towards me immediately after seeing me returning to move my car was uncalled for.

I hope this matter will be addressed. Just because I'm white, and a male I don't believe I should be a " good ole boy" whatever that meaning is. Thank you for your time my phone number is [protected] to be contacted
