Netcare review: Accounts

My Mother Anna Jordaan went for an operation on the 15 October 2026 at Netcare Alberton. We then received and account from Netcare for an item not paid by Discovery medical aid. On the letter from Discovery the reason for non-payment was code 50- Non chargeable item according to them. Discovery even wrote a letter to the hospital stating that Patient is not liable for this amount and we must not pay this. On the 23 of February 2026, we received a letter from Shapiro Shank DeFries lawyers informing us that my mom was handed over regarding outstanding amount. We send them the letter from Discovery and lawyers went quite until last month where the informed us Netcare is going ahead with the legal battles
