fraud
I lost my home in 2005 after being layed off. We began the process in 2011 here we are in July 2012 and nothing. I resubmitted everything at least 12 times invited everyone in the church to join and apply it is a fraud. Its as if the the main office wants loans to fail. May everything that is done in secret be exposed in Jesus name. Please don't waste your...

3 elderly ladies who had their home for 38 years turned to NACA to hopefully reduce their monthly mortgage to an affordable payment. They had in the past refinanced their home to do home repairs and they didn't realize it was not a fixed rate. So with a variable, the monthly payment increased to where they were struggling financially. They turned to NACA...

Bad customer service
Now days mortgage companies don't understand what the customer is going thru because its not them. We're all living in a world where people just don't care, respect is no more. Making money off of the consumer is the key. and if you don't have money they don't care. I attended The NACA event at the Los Angeles Convention Center what a joke. You go to a suppose to be orientation, your sitting there for 3 hours and then later told you need to come back to see a counselor because its to many people there, your told you will get a call, or a text, or an email for a appointment to see your lender which was AHMSI, But you must go thru the NACA counselors first, then after you spend about a hour, your told to find your lender, you find AHMSI sit down with them for about 30 -45 minutes. They prepare this workout sheet to possibly approve you for a interest rate that they know your not going to get, mind you my husband and I had to drive back and forth to the Convention Center for 2 days. I am ashame of these companys and the way there just not helping Americans that are in need. Shame on the politicans and the Obama administration, they have done nothing to help us, what happen to a single family working hard to achieve goals with one of them buying a home for there family and someday leaving that home to there kids and possibly generations to come. I'm not ashame to say it but these banks, and mortgage companies, lawyers who are rippen people off should put there heads down with shame. And oh yes can it happen to there families for sure, they should be very careful GOD don't like ugly what goes around comes around.
Something seems fishy
My husband and I tried to buy a home using NACA in the Kansas City area. We went through their complicated process for over a year. We finally decided that they were untrustworthy and used a different lender. We have great credit and we were asked to provide all kinds of extra paperwork besides our credit scores to get pre-approved for a loan. We had to...

Sometime ago I contacted the people at the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America. I paid the fee to join and I sent them all of my homeowner's information. They told me that they help people so that they do not lose their homes. I spent hours on the phone as well as in person, giving them documentation to save my home. I spoke with many representatives, including the top representatives of the organization. They did nothing! They are connected to Exit Realty, which I believe also is a company that is only interested in assisting real estate investors and the real purpose of NACA is not to assist those who are losing their homes, but those who are interested in buying homes.
People that are facing serious foreclosure issues should not participate with this organization which may be a company whose political affiliations are questionable, especially in light of the current upheaval in this country politically. Please make others aware of this, as so many poor people really need help not someone to steal their information and to possibly sell it to others.

NACA does not charge for any of our services and we are not in Partnership with Exit Realty. Our goal is to stabilize the communities by making housing affordable to everyone. We do have a purchase side however we do not allow investors to purchase through our program .We have helped over a million homeowner's nationwide in achieving their goal of homeownership . If you are in need of assistance and would like help with receiving a modification or our wonderful purchase program please call [protected] or send an email to lmassey@naca.com.
Bad service
I started working with NACA in July 2009, I am in need of a loan mod. I've done everything required, I've had patience in that they didn't call me the first 3 times, I've had no follow-up to date, I've called faithfully each month, and endured the phone disconnecting, holding for 1+ hours each time and talking to counselors who tell me something different...

Unfortunately, this vague, "third-party" narrative contains sufficient factual errors as to indicate that this was a piece of fiction most likely written by someone who opposes NACA for misguided political reasons.
First, NACA is not and has never been a "Government" program. NACA is a non-profit organization that has been engaging in advocacy on behalf of the American homeowner since 1988. The fact the we are HUD certified only means that we abide by a certain set of standards, including that all of our services are free of charge.
Second, the claim of "When the sale of their home letter arrived, they went and found help to refinance their home and save it" is clearly fictitious since no legitimate lender will refinance a mortgage that is severely past due.
Were foreclosure imminent, we would have done everything possible to postpone it and would have notified the homeowners immediately if a postponement were for some reason not possible, and suggest other possible options to save the home. These, among other factual errors indicate that the "complaint" here is almost certainly a fabrication.
These people writing the letters are not the liars. You sound like Donald Trump claiming that everyone is against you. Your plight is so unfair. I happen to know that your representatives tell clients what they think the client wants to hear. They did the same thing to me. It is a sorry state of affairs when an organization has to employ someone to respond to negative internet reviews. Think about how many negative reviews your organization is receiving and make changes and not excuses.
***ANOTHER TRAGIC NACA STORY***
3 elderly ladies who had their home for 38 years turned to NACA to hopefully reduce their monthly mortgage to an affordable payment. There case was taken and they were reassured they could be helped. Instead they lost their home on January 13, 2011 and are now being evicted. When the sale of their home letter arrived, they went and found help to refinance their home and save it, but NACA assured them to turn in all their paperwork, don't do nothing and just wait. They would help them. Now these 3 ladies are searching for a place to live that will cost them more than their low monthly income. They are deeply depressed and frightened because they believed in a Government home saving program and they were basically slapped in the face. NACA needs to know that not everyone needing help can be helped. When a bank doesn't budge or won't negotiate, their clients needs to know in a timely manner so they can go somewhere else. They need to give the clients the respect they deserve. Don't let your clients believe otherwise. That's being a hypocrite and giving false information. Now a family is destroyed, they lost their home of 38 years and NACA just washes their bloody hands and looks the other way. NACA NEEDS TO NOTIFY A CLIENT IN A TIMELY MANNER. NOW A FAMILY IN AMERICA IS DESTROYED. THESE 3 SENIOR LADIES, SISTERS, OF MEXICAN-AMERICAN DECENT, WIDOWS AND ONE OF THE SPOUSES IS A VETERAN OF WARS, THEY DON'T HAVE THE DREAM! THEY HAVE A NIGHTMARE. AND AT THEIR AGE OF 70'S AND 80'S AND IN POOR HEALTH, THIS IS DEVASTATING.
