I have a mortgage that has been traded to several loan holding companies thriugh the pandemic. Essex Mortgage is the one I am making payment to currently. I had autopay setup through a different lender and it transfered to Essex so I have not had to deal with them for the ~year they have been my mortgage servicer. Essex Mortgage I obtained a 2nd mortgage as down payment assistance in 2020

I obtained a 2nd mortgage as down payment assistance in 2020. The broker I used lined me up with Essex Mortgage. I made my payments with checks to them as you can see on my statements with zero concerns or issues. I received an email notice saying I could sign up for auto pay and so I signed up thinking it would make my life easier and be more convenient. A few months went by and I received no notification or receipts so I signed in online and it confirmed that I had indeed been enrolled in auto pay and was up to date. Months go by and I receive no notifications (no issues) I then get a call from Essex telling me I am 8 months behind on my payments. Absolutely boggled and confused I say how can that be I am on auto pay. The woman on the phone says hm yes you are let me look into this further. She comes back on the line and reports that they have been trying to call me but my voicemail was full and that there have been issues with the auto pay. I freaked out and asked for my balance so I could pay it immediately ( I take good care of my credit, I don't owe anyone anything and would have no reason to miss such a small payment monthly) She tells me my balance and I ask to have it resolved but I will pay in the mean time to clear things up. They accept my payment and I get a call again the next month saying I'm behind that they put my money in a holding account and that I need to clarify if I want to pay against balance or interest. At this point I'm beyond upset because I paid enough to pay off both and I can see on my statements that they had accepted ach payments when they say they had not and NO late fees shown even further contradicting their story and version of what happened. I have requested my phone call recordings and documentation and have been ignored repeatedly I am trying to sell and buy and this is holding it all up! This is blatant fraud. I have more emails and statements to show my proof and have seen 100s of complaints and need resolution asap
