I only had one requirement: to pay the same amount every month. Before them, I always had a fixed mortgage, but W. Butler convinced me that even with a variable rate, I would still pay the same amount, regardless of whether the prime rate went up or down. He said that if that happened, it would be adjusted within my payments - I would pay less or more interest, but my monthly payments would stay the same. Imagine my surprise when, after signing with the mortgage company for variable rates, I received a letter stating that my payments would increase because the prime rate had gone up. And they would increase every time the prime rate increased. When I called Butler, he denied ever saying such a thing and promised to review our recorded conversation. Can you believe he never called back and ignored my emails? So much for honest service. I'm really angry because, at the time of my application, I could have gotten a decent fixed rate if I hadn't been misinformed.
