My bank sold my mortgage to Nationstar a few years ago. Recently my homeowners insurance increased by about $400. Nationstar has raised my monthly payment by $86 dollars per month, charging me nearly $700 to cover the $400 increase. My only recourse is to write them a letter.

Well folks, wanted to update all of you on Nationstar! We met with our so called attorney today and basically they say there is nothing we can do other than get ahold of our congress leader regarding there illigeal practices. Needless to say i was not thrilled with this so called attorney through the UAW. They were totalling un helpful and basically told us well it is what it is and you have to pay. What a bunch of BS! So if anyone has any ideas please let me now because i think this mortgage company is a complete joke!

My last two lines as corrected: "...and on an appraisal that they also controlled. Tell me there's no foul play? Illegalities are everywhere!..."

The worst thing you could do would be to allow them to do your mortgage modification or refinance! Once they get ahold of you, you can't get rid of them. They absolutely love playing around with your escrow money, too. Long story shortened on me -- they put part of one and all of another of my payments into some other account they set up for escrow management and turned me in to all four credit bureaus as delinquent. Tried to get that off. Forget that. Paid a company to fix this. Nationstar ended up controlling my appraisal when I tried get a loan thru another company to get out from under them! Showed my house as being under water and started mailing me all these offers to refinance me or work out a loan modification with them -- because they had things looking on paper in a manner that no one else would refinance me! I wasted money trying to repair credit that they messed up (my credit was good before that) and on an escrow that they also controlled. Tell me there's no foul play? The few times Nationstar has ever gotten to court in Texas, where they are headquartered, all they got was a slap on the hand in the form of a small fine. Back at their evil !

If anyone wants to get a class action suit against them, I could add more fuel to your fire! I am totally disgusted with them and don't know why they are being allowed to continue to operate!

I know we had to get an attorney involved regarding our escrow because they have messed our mortgage up so bad. They paid our taxes when we don't even have an escrow for taxes or insurance. We pay those ourselves, all we have is the pmi insurance come out. Yeah not to mention before our mortgage was sold to this rinky dink place we did a loan modification due to my husband job. So now not only did they want us to sign a waiver to take taxes off our mortgage now they still are paying our taxes. We have been dealing with this for almost a year. I would love to take this company right into the ground and run them around like they are doing to us homeowners.
