I purchased a Napoleon built-in 700 series 44" natural gas fireplace in May, 2025. After only a dozen times using it, a backfire ignited inside the grill and melted all the control knobs as well as all the internal electrical components. Since the grill was fueled by a natural gas pipe from our house, we were very fortunate to quickly find the gas shut off valve in the basement and the fire did not spread to the house. The grill is now inoperable. Napoleon has denied the warranty and replacement of the grill claiming the warranty is waived due to "damage caused by blow outs caused by environmental conditions such as strong winds ...". I have grilled in wind before and have never had an issue like this. I invested roughly $3,000 into this grill and now it is worthless with no support from the company. If you enjoy outdoor grilling and don't want to worry about a grill that could essentially blow up on you, I suggest you look to a different manufacturer.
Recommendation: Consider a different manufacturer and carefully review the warranty. If a company can deny a warranty because it is a bit windy when you want to grill, don't buy the product.
