Mr. Lube Canada Oil change

Do not go to this location if you value your life! I went in as a young female and they took complete advantage of me! 7/12/2023 I went in for a standard oil change. My car was fine and had no issues what so ever. After the oil change was done, the technician was trying to close the hood and i overheard him say "oh shoot i think i broke something" Another guy came immediately, and all i could see was a screw driver and them trying to push something back in with force! They finally got my hood to latch. I asked if everything was okay, and they said it was great. They did not tell that there was any kind of damage or malfunction to my vehicle. I went home which was 5 min away and did not take the highway which was probably why the hood did not malfunction at first. At around 10pm that same day i was getting on the 401 ready to merge, and before i could even get on to the express the hood completely flys up and blocks my front view- you could only imagine my fear. I could not see anything and was terrified. I could have crashed into someone else, i could have died so many things could have happened! i was very lucky that i was able to pull over on the right shoulder and call caa!

The next following day i waited for it to be 8AM to make a complaint. They were very defensive and very rude and was not apologetic to what had occurred because of them. I'm a nursing student and i drive daily and maintain my car -there were no issues with my car before i got an oil change done at that location! If my vehicle was damaged beforehand why continue to work on my car? Why not tell me after your done the job that the vehicle was damaged before and this is the reason the hood will not latch? why was i not printed an invoice or sent an invoice as to what was done that day? They allowed me to leave knowing that my hood was messed up without my knowledge. Please please do not go to this location if you value your life. The manager there was a [censored] and could careless. I asked to see the footage so i can send it to my insurance, so an investigation could take place and he refused to. I asked numerous of times to speak to head office and they gave me a number that no one picks up. That technician who worked on my car should never work on any ones car as he is very incompetent! and clearly incapable of doing an oil change.

They give you numbers to call and no one picks up. there customer service sucks, and if anyone ask me about my experience there i will defiantly let them know! I will also be filing a complaint with the BBB. All i can say is that there is a worker named Wayne and although he did not work on my car he was the only one willing to take a look at my car and understand the situation. The manager Steve and the other worker Saad should be fired for their lack of empathy and accountability. Not one sorry from them for my experience. Do not go here if you lack car knowledge, If you're young, or simply a female

I would like for someone to investigate and look at the footage as they would not even look at it to see what took place.

Mr. Lube Canada Oil change service & major issues after

Hello. I recently visited the location at 328 University Drive, West, Lethbridge AB for an oil change on June 14th, 2023 @ 8:39 am after purchasing a new vehicle (used 2010 GMC Terrain SLE) for my Wife, and thought the experience was very positive. During the visit the staff was extremely attentive and seemed knowledgeable. Again, I went into this location specifically for an oil change, and did not intend on getting anything else done on this vehicle.

As mentioned, I went in for an Oil Change, but during the visit the employee helping me pointed out that it didn't look like I required an Oil Change, and mentioned that my vehicle probably had at least 50-75% left of use before an Oil Change was required. He showed me the dipstick and there was light brown oil on it, and everything looked good. He then informed me that the Rear Differential Fluid was not looking good, and that he thought it would be a good idea to have this Serviced. I agreed to this, and had that specific service done.

10 days later, on June 24th 2023, the vehicle completely broke down just south of Claresholm, AB. When we pulled over to try to figure it out, we quickly determined that there was literally NO OIL IN THE ENGINE. Our car had been running for 10 days with nothing in terms of oil, and this caused a major failure and breakdown of the engine. We have recently learned, from the GMC dealer in Claresholm, that rods have broken, bearings have fused to parts inside the engine, and other major issues occurred due to lack of any oil in the car.

We did not check the oil levels prior to travelling to Claresholm because we had just been told by the employee's at the Mr. Lube location noted above that the oil was in good condition. We had no reason to check it because in the 10 days between the service at Mr. Lube, and our trip we had driven the car approx. 15 kms total.

We now require a complete overhaul of the vehicle, and a new engine. The GMC dealer has been able to source out a replacement, but after towing fee's, and the cost of getting our car back into working order, we will have to spend over $8000 of our money, of which we cannot afford.

My wife requires a vehicle for work and family duties, and we have no choice but to repair our car. The work on this is starting this week.

Someone made a mistake at Mr. Lube, and even though we had no issues with the staff or the service at the time, we fully expect this situation to be rectified.

Mr. Lube Canada Went in for a oil change and fluid check. Some how radiator cap was not tightened that led to my truck overheating and damaging the motor.

On 17th of April 2023 at 8:23 A.M.

I brought my truck in for a oil change and fluid check.

After I left it sat for a while at home till I went to Penticton. Noticed that the temp was a little high so added fluid to radiator fluid tub.

Truck over heated and red lined.

Motor was severely damaged.

Desired outcome: Would really like either the motor and radiator replaced or cost of my replacement vehicle covered. (3800.00)

I got an AC recharge, may 14/23 without checking for leaks. 3 weeks later I returned because the few times I needed AC there was almost nothing. Over 1/2 of the charge was gone and a test said it was leaking. I was offered a free recharge after repairs. Integra Tire told me it was leaking at Orings and compressor and compressor was noisy, $3100! Best...

Mr. Lube Canada Service

Last month they tried to sell me an expensive & unnecessary item. I called the corporate office to complain but they passed the buck by saying "Each franchise is individually owned".

Next they said my summer tires (on the rim) needed balancing, even though they were balanced the year before.

This month I ordered summer tires. but asked for refund for tires (due to care-less attitude when I returned to get them installed) & was told it would take 2-3 days to get a refund by cheque, even though I paid by credit card. Been going here for 15 years, but recent change in management and overall service has made sure that I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS ELESWHERE.

Mr. Lube Canada Forgot to put the dip stick back on my truck

So my wife went to get the oil change and they forget to put the dipstick back and I got call from mr lube there technician forgot to put dipstick we have been coming to mr lube for many years since after this incident I’m not impressed by them and the oil splashed on my engine I have a recorded voice mail and the phone number from where they call me

Mr. Lube Canada An employee was looking up my dress

On June 2 2023 I was getting an oil change at Mr Lube on Lansdowne Street in Peterborough when an employee kept asking me to get out of my vehicle to look at things. He kept looking me up and down and hitting on me subtly which I brushed off. At one point he asked me to stand on the grate in front of my vehicle where some other guy would talk to me about my power steering fluid. He then disappeared . The 3 other employees standing around all seemed to be “up to something” and I felt very unsafe. I took a step back from my vehicle and the employee named Akim who had just told me to stand there was now underneath me looking up my dress smiling. I almost threw up. I got back in my van and he asked me again to get out and I refused. He was hanging in my window and the whole time he kept making a big deal about things that “needed to be done right away” and I maintain my vehicle but he still insisted on all these filters etc being changed and had made me so uncomfortable and upset I just wanted to leave. He then billed me $500- completely took advantage of me in multiple ways. I called the police and today they went to Mr Lube and watched the video and spoke to the manager and it’s very obvious that he put me there and then went underneath to look up my dress. The police agree that because this employee has been there for two years and that I’m most likely not his first victim. I want this piece of garbage fired. I want a refund. Mr. Lube Canada Oil change problem

Got an oil change, but the filter was hardly screwed on. Noticed oil at the bottom of my car a couple weeks later. About 2.5 L of oil was out of the car by this point so had to do the oil myself. Luckily work on a farm and the farmer and his family are very handy and helpful people, so it was no problem getting things back to normal. But if I didn't have help, I would have been stuck going back to Mr. Lube, and who knows if they would even own up to the mishap.

Desired outcome: Just want the specific shop to know what they had done so they are more sure to not do it in the future.

Mr. Lube Canada Tires changes

2975 DU MARCHE Rue, Dollar-Des-Ormeaux.

May 10th 2023, I changed the tires of my car.

Afterward, I realized the operator did do the job as it supposed to be done:

1-The Tire Valve Caps weren't there.

2-The Bill is supposed to be sent to my email is not sent.

The day after I returned to store and ask to remedy these issues.

The operator does want to deal with my issue under the argument he wasn't the author of the work.

Now my claims to MR LUBE are simple:

-I need the Tire Valve Caps back where they were.

2-I need the bill to be sent to me.

I hope you understand my issue

Mr. Lube Canada OIl Change

They gave me a card to sign that says "I agree to receive promotional materials from Mr. Lube". I said I don't want promotional materials. They got irritated and said no its just a signature card we need you to sign it for your invoice. I think this

pissed them off because a week later I noticed an oil leak. I took it to Canadian Tire and they said the oil plug was loose. It cost me $135 for Canadian Tire to find and fix the oil leak. Very unsatisfied.

Desired outcome: Reimburse the $135 that I had to spend.

Mr. Lube Canada Tire rotation

I just called and asked how much for a tire rotation and i was asked what kind of vehicle i drove and i said a SUV and i was quoted $84.99. I made it clear i needed a tire rotation NOT a tire change. The guy said "Yes, $84.99" I asked him his name and he said "Joshie" i am sure i spelled that wrong, the guy i spoke with had a thick Indian accent. I then confirmed for a third time $84.99 for a simple tire rotation, he said yes. I said "that can't be right, i am sure it was much lower than that last time" he replied "No, it is $84.99 at this location" When i said that definitely wasn't right and asked him to spell his name he told me that each Mr. Lube charges what they want for tire rotations and this is their price and if i wanted his name i could come in and read it off his name tag and then hung up. Is this the level of service Mr. Lube offers now? I actually haven't used Mr. Lube for over a year now but when i was i would visit the Milton location. May i suggest you have the Milton employees train your Dundas & Liruma Road employees how to talk to customers because their service was outstanding. I called on April 14th at 3:47pm. I will definitely take the trip to Milton to avoid being ripped off by the dishonest employees at this location. I actually worked for Mr. Lube for 10 years under Richard Noronha, Keving Spearing, Jim Brown and Troy White years ago and as soon as he told me the price i knew they were trying to take advantage of me. This is disgusting behavior. May i suggest getting your employees in check... If i were a man, this would not have happened. So disappointing.

Mr. Lube Canada Tire Change / Storage

Went to Mr. Lube in Ottawa off St Laurent Blvd in November of 2022 and requested to have my tires stored. The Service Tech acknowledged this verbally but failed to charge me for the storage. I left the Shop without my summer Wheels + Tires and received no communication in regards to them being left there or the storage or anything. It is now April and I called the location to have my Tires and Wheels pulled from storage and they say they have no record of the storage as it didn't appear on my Invoice. I left my tires there however and received no communication in this failure by the employee.

Desired outcome: 3500$ for replacement Wheels and Tires or my Tires and Wheels being Located

Mr. Lube Canada Transmission flush

Went in to get a transmission flush as per Mr. Lube request only to have my vehicle not working and then now trying to tell me I have had a transmission leak for a while when I was never told once about a transmission leak I was only told to get my transmission flushed. If that was an issue and it was a leak I would have obviously got it fixed rather then haul my kids out to Castlegar in a car with issues. Now my vehicle is stuck in Castlegar at a transmission shop to get fixed because of something they obviously did and having to pay money for something Mr. Lube is clearly responsible for. I will definitely not have Mr. Lube touch my vehicle ever worst company ever.

Desired outcome: Cover the costs that they incurred for my vehicle having to get fixed and leaving me stranded with 6 kids in Castlegar.

Mr. Lube Canada Attention: customer relations, corporate head office

Good afternoon,

My name is Jawad Hamidi and I am a Mr. Lube Club Member. I recently sent my wife to store #130 in Richmond Hill for a simple tire rotation for her vehicle, with plate number CKJE824. The service was performed on 31-Mar-23 and the invoice number is [protected].

I am reaching out to you regarding grave concerns that I have about this location's negligent and dishonest business practices. Putting aside the fact that they pressured my wife into purchasing additional services that were not required, their lack of skill or care actually endangered my wife as well as her sister, who left in the car after the service was performed. Shortly after driving away, they noticed alarming noises coming from a rear wheel well.

When I inspected the vehicle, I realized that a wheel stud had actually broken off. I took the car back to the service location and was very disappointed with the initial response I received from the employee who tried to deny any responsibility. As a reasonable person I understand that some damage might occur when tightening or replacing lugs, etc. but knowingly returning the vehicle to my wife with a damaged wheel and allowing her to drive it without due concern for her safety is completely unacceptable. I escalated my concerns and was able to reach what I thought was an adequate resolution with the manager, who acknowledged responsibility and offered a refund as well as arranging for the repair to the wheel with their mechanic.

Since then, however, I have learned that my vehicle was driven rather than towed to the mechanic shop, which I never authorized. I am extremely dissatisfied with the original service that was purchased, how the problem was handled and now, what I thought, would be the remedy. I have been thoroughly inconvenienced, my wife has been unsettled from the experience and without her vehicle for days and we now have very little confidence in your company's commitment to safety and keeping the trust of your customers. I hope to hear from you soon regarding a suitable resolution to this matter.

Mr. Lube Canada Not respect of line

I was first in the line to change my tires and then your team decided to give my spot to another car which I didn’t accept , they were threatening to call the police, I was in line first and they denied my service with a rude attitude

They finally closed the door and accepted the other car from the another door.
