On 26 July 2026, I placed an order through Mr D using a valid WiCode voucher.
The WiCode was entered successfully.
The checkout screen displayed the voucher discount.
The payment summary showed that only the R20 driver tip would be charged to my card.
After I selected pay, Mr D charged the full R234 to my card.
The payment process contained several additional faults.
The card nickname field was described as optional, but the system rejected the card with a generic error until a nickname was supplied.
When I initially entered the WiCode and attempted to pay the tip by card, the system produced another generic error and demanded a new code.
Despite these errors, the final checkout screen clearly showed that the WiCode discount had been applied.
I contacted Mr D support and explained the sequence in detail.
The first representative acknowledged the card nickname problem, the WiCode errors and the incorrect charge.
However, no refund or concrete resolution was provided.
A later response merely stated that no WiCode had been applied and that the voucher remained available for another order.
That did not address the fact that the checkout screen showed the voucher as applied.
I explained again that I had authorised a R20 card payment, not a R234 card payment.
Another representative then refused compensation because the order had been delivered.
The representative advised me to check whether the voucher appeared in the payment summary before confirming payment.
The voucher did appear in the payment summary.
That was the basis on which I proceeded.
Mr D’s support team repeatedly responded without addressing the central fact of the complaint.
Their handling was incompetent and dismissive.
They treated the issue as user error despite being told repeatedly that their own payment screen displayed the discount.
I am requesting a refund of the amount that should have been covered by the WiCode.
I do not accept being forced to place another order merely to recover value that should have been applied correctly the first time.
Mr D should investigate the transaction, acknowledge the checkout failure and refund the incorrectly charged amount.
