The room was not suitable to stay in when we first entered the room we were met with heat, and an overwhelming odor of a strong chemical smell (possibly some type of cleaner). There were mega flies in the room, and on the bed you couldn't sit without being swarmed. And the bedspread looked less than clean looked like possibly blood stains on it. We checked in at 3:00pm, and left at 5:30 pm, because we refused to sleep in the room. So since we were only there 2 1/2 hours I feel like my money should be refunded, because the conditions were not great.

You ask for another room or mgr for refund or district mgr.but you stayed 2.5 hours am sure to shower or frshen up. Now feel you should get a refund? Versus going back to front desk and ask to change rooms? I don't think you selected the correct motel if thats your way of thinking. Motels by the hour might be in some areas or your town or city.But MOTEL 6 is per stay and you stayed and decided to leave after afew hours? Think about it, if you were the MGR there at Motel?! Next time research the terms and conditions of your reservations. Or ask at desk to have someone accompany you to room with key, so you can change rooms or NOT STAY.ASK for Refund then. Sorry but it is what it is, you're responsibility as an adult .
I had my sister text me she was staying at MOTEL 6 once she arrived .I asked her location? I quickly told her to change location because i knew she probably would regret her Choice of that MOTEL 6. She asked me why, and changed motels . She didnt stay and asked for refund. Be realistic!
