Months and months of on-going calls of harassment. They call from [protected], and leave messages, “We need to speak to you and have live representatives. This is a phone call from m.c.s. please return our call today regarding an important matter at [protected]”. Then the voice repeats the same message. This is a collection agency hired by another company. I’ve tried to speak to a human…they are argumentative, demand payment not due them, make threats, it gets very, very ugly. Naming them in a lawsuit. Don’t allow them to intimidate you! They are predators.

dude or duddete, stop talking to them on the phone. google cease and desist letters. write them and request proof of debt. they have 30 days otherwise they will be in violation of federal fair debt collection act and tell them then, it will be your utmost pleasure to sue them! mail your letter certified return receipt requested. it will be peace thereafter. oh and if they call you get an air horn and blow it on the phone.
I just received a call today from Monterey Financial! We paid this account off? or so we thought but according to them... they said people pay ahead all the time and we were not due a payment until may 2014? I said no I don't owe you anything! She says no you owe interest at 6% a month since aug 2013 and monthly service fee. of 5.00 a month. ! she said the last payment we received was $1378.61 and I said "WHY" didn't we get a receipt or phone call? before now. she said we don't call people who pay ahead. I said oh u just take peoples $$. She got nasty and said its your loan we just follow the rules. and you signed the contract. I asked to speak to a supervisor.. Janelle... she was even worse. she couldn't wavie anything else but she could waive the over the phone payment fee. and I looked on line at the account and they only gave me credit for $1325.61 ! so I am going to pull my check and see what happened and find out when they cashed the check! and I am going to file a complaint with the attorney general. they show a payment in july! I never made a payment in july? I paid the 79.84 but this is NOT OVER... I AM NOT DONE WITH THESE PEOPLE!
