We purchased the package in 2023 for $5000. I might as well have opened the toilet seat and just flushed it down. I have not used it yet and I will explain why. But first, the presentation. Wow, what a good sell. Sounded so great. My husband and I were close to retirement so we thought this would be for us. Different options for a great price! High pressure, for sure. Free gifts for coming, not free at all. And when we showed a little bit of interest, the high pressure began. Yes, totally our fault for buying into it. Stupid. Our bad for sure.
So we have yet to use the service for a year and a half. I’ll explain why.
1. The send email specials on condos frequently. The majority of the condos are in Florida, which we have been to several times and do not want to go back. Other condo offerings are in random cities in other states.
2. They will send you the name of the “resort” that they are offering but no other information. Once when I called to ask about one I was told to look it up myself because they don’t have that information. So I looked up many on Trip Advisor and Google reviews and they all gave the “resorts” terrible reviews: outdated, old, smelly,
dirty, bugs (one actually had bed bugs), bad customer service.
3. Many of the offerings with great prices are offered in the off season months. For instance, you can get a great price on a condo in Maine, but it would be in the winter months, when everything is shut down or impossible to get to. Same with beach condos. Who wants to go to the beach when it is freezing
4. As I looked up these condos, I also looked up the price they charge. The cost was about the same. Very minimal discount.
5. One of the big selling points were the cruises. They also send emails with these deals. The majority of the offerings are the Caribbean and Bermuda. Like A LOT! If you’ve already been to these places and want to explore other locations, there are very few offerings. I also looked up the prices on the cruise line websites and it also was about the same price. Many of the “deals” are for interior rooms with no view.
6. They also have offerings for vacation home rentals. When you look them up the prices look great, albeit they say “starting at”. Well, when you research further by putting in your dates, the prices are outrageous! You can find similar homes in similar areas on Air BnB for much cheaper prices and with great reviews. I checked.
7. The luxury vacations seem extremely expensive but I don’t know how they compare to other similar ones because we didn’t buy the package for that. We are on a limited budget which is why we bought it in the first place.
I have not contacted the company for a refund because I know what they will say. You signed the contract so tough luck. I am so sorry that I wasted so much money on this. Money I could have used for great vacations. I know there is nothing that can be done to get my money back. The reason I am writing is to hopefully prevent some trusting soul to not make the mistake we did.
Recommendation: Do not get suckered in! Plan your own vacations. Ones you have total control over.
