Megabusbus broke down

Our bus from Baltimore to NYC broke down in NY. We had to walk almost a mile with our luggage in 90 degree weather! There was no resolution offered. Customer service by phone is horrible and I am being told to send an email inquiry to see what and if I will get any compensation. I have called Megabus 3 times in 3 days and they are just telling me to email my complaint! What kind of customer service doesn't help you over the phone. What company makes you email complaints when you have live representatives?? Not to mention the bus was filthy! I will never ride Megabus again!!!
