I am complaining about Massimo Dutti Egypt’s handling of two online orders, numbers 30159887049 and 30147506923, with a combined value of EGP 129,600, and the customer service I received when seeking a resolution.
The orders were expected to be available for collection on 13 September 2026 at the designated branch in 6th of October City. They were not available in full as expected. These purchases were intended for a planned trip and family reunion, and I explained that I needed them before travelling on 19 September.
Despite repeated follow-ups under complaint reference 199501075, customer service provided generic statements that the matter was being investigated, without a definitive date for complete collection. I received inconsistent updates, with some items described as in transit and others still delayed or under preparation. This left me unable to make reliable alternative arrangements.
When I visited the collection branch seeking assistance, staff mocked my complaint and treated my concerns as a joke. I found this dismissive, disrespectful, and unacceptable.
By my travel deadline, I had not received an adequate substantive resolution. The experience caused considerable inconvenience and disrupted preparations for a family occasion planned months in advance.
My complaint concerns both the failure to meet the expected collection date and the subsequent handling of the issue: unclear communication, the absence of a reliable resolution timeline, and unprofessional conduct at the branch.
I request a written response from a responsible manager addressing the order delays, the customer-service failures, and the conduct of the branch staff, together with a clear resolution for any outstanding items or payments.
Claimed loss: USD 2,500
Desired outcome: A refund
