Mad City review: Redoing my kitchen 1

Mad City came to my home on February 22 2022. The man that came was Jack Larson. He showed me colors and doors, drawers and asked if I am ready to start with the overdo, I told him the color and the doors looked fine. I asked him what the price would be and how to pay the bill. The price would be $27,535 but because I am a senior there would be a discount. I asked about how to pay, if you see their commercials on TV you will see that they would let you pay monthly, but he did not tell me that. I paid with a check of $16,500.00 that day and he said they would send a Rep out to measure everything and start the project. He said that if I paid in full the discount would be good for me. So I also paid in cash $11,035 that day. He said I would receive a discount payment after the project is complete. They sent workers out about 2 months later, they started taking my doors and draw covers off, they apparently had the new doors and draw covers with them. They made a terrible mess, they said they had a another job that day so they really didn't finish it up properly. I called Mad City and they said they would send another worker out to find out what was wrong. He came again many weeks later

he looked at the doors that were not right and he took pictures. He said that he would take the pictures back to Mad City so I would get the right doors and drawer covers. Again another 6 weeks that didn't work because they brought the wrong doors. This last week another 2 workers came and again they had the wrong doors again. They said they will be back as soon as the door is done properly. Probably a month or so. I feel like I have been used over and I would like to get some of that money back. I have checked other remodelers since then and they are not asking for a full payment they are telling

customers they can pay in months, or years. Mad City commericals now are telling customers they can pay differently than I could. I would like most of my money back and I would pay like they are saying on their commercials.

Thank you I had photos of the kitchen but they were taking off my phone for I couldn't keep them my phone went wrong and I was able to get the photos back. Thanks so much

The sales men at Mad city are horrendous. They came to our house argued with us about our light fixtures and what they were made of in the bathroom which had nothing to do with a shower remodel, then they had the gaul to comment on what I fed my dog! As if it had anything to do with them.
We were in our 40’s but these guys stuck to their script about how their shower system would be great for our (nonexistent) grandchildren drawing on the walls in the shower and how we *had to get* the handle for the shower wall so we don’t fall in our decrepit old age.
For crying out loud, seriously! Change your script to suit the customer!
I have done sales, and would never speak to a client or potential customer the way this guy and his ‘trainee’ spoke to us. They were rude, condescending, pushy, and ignorant. If that wasn’t bad enough, we were absolutely inundated with calls every day, multiple times a day for the next week until my husband finally told them if they call back we’ll file for harassment. The calls finally stopped. Needless to say, we will NEVER recommend mad city to anyone. If they need lessons on sales, I’m happy to give. 🤦‍♀️
