On August 10, the rental office gave me a call and said they won't take my money order that I handed in on 08/05 because I still owe $99. They hung up on me when I asked them to explain why I owe that amount. So, I went to the office with my statement and receipts that I got from them on 07/22. The receipts show a balance of $40, which I included in the money order (08/05) for $685 this month (usually $645). Since they couldn't explain why I owed that amount, they told me there's nothing else to discuss and kicked me out of the office. They even threatened to evict me because of the balance. I need some advice because I take my living situation seriously, but I'm not going to pay them $99 just like that.
