Main Street Renewal - Needs a rating lower than one star.

To be fair we have not actually rented from MSR... because their systems don't function properly, they don't disclose their fees in advance and their customer service is apparently not staffed properly or maybe not at all. We were interested in a property in Oro Valley, Arizona but their website was incomplete or not clear. I tried on several occasions to...

Main Street Renewal Stay Away!!

This place is awful. We've been renting from them for nearly 3 years and it just continues to get worse. Anytime something needs to be fixed they take their sweet time despite the tenants well being. Earlier this year, our pipe was on the verge of bursting, rendering one of our bathrooms useless. When they finally got around to fixing it, they sent a tech out, who obviously was not a plumber, then took another week to send a plumber who fixed the issue but left a GIANT hole in the wall. They closed the request and marked it as completed... I don't think so. Had to open ANOTHER request to get them to replace the tile. This went on for over a month. Most recently, our dishwasher was acting up. The propeller had melted and instead of calling and dealing with them, I purchased a new one from Amazon and installed it myself. Come to find out, the coil was overheating. I submitted a request and again, sent someone who was in no way qualified to fix it. The tech didn't even investigate the issue as he was only here for 30 seconds. Two weeks go by with no update. I call them and they say "oh it's still in progress" (side note: they push residents to use the online portal for these things, but never update the requests). Another two weeks go by, they show up at my house unannounced with a new dishwasher. Okay, great! However, the vendor could not install it due to there being "GPS monitoring" on the old one. So they left it there and said they would contact Main Street. Now I had two dishwashers and couldn't use either of them. Had to call AGAIN after they closed the request as completed and they informed me I had to place ANOTHER request for the dishwasher install. Why would the ticket be closed if it was never completed? Another two weeks go by and I have to call because our fridge stopped cooling and freezing. Hundreds of dollars of food was spoiled. I placed a ticket for it and clearly they did not think this was urgent. They send someone out, but it's for the DISHWASHER install. Where are their priorities? I was also informed by the tech that there was no "GPS monitoring" on the unit despite there being a sticker on the front that states that. It has been three days now with no refrigerator and on top of our hundreds of dollars in spoiled food, we have to pay to eat out 3 times a day. I just called them again for an update and they "couldn't confirm" if someone was available to come out today (a Friday). Now, we will likely go into the weekend without a fridge. This place is absolutely awful, I wouldn't recommend anyone rent from them. Wish me luck.

Recommendation: Do not rent from them.

Main Street Renewal Mixed Experiences with Main Street Renewal LLC

As someone who has had the opportunity to interact with Main Street Renewal LLC, I must say that my experiences have been quite mixed. While I appreciate the effort put into renovating the homes and providing convenient self-tours, there have been significant issues with maintenance and customer service. It is disheartening to see instances where basic amenities like bathrooms and AC were not functional for days, causing immense inconvenience to residents. The lack of timely responses and unresolved issues have left a negative impact on the overall experience. Despite some positive encounters with maintenance staff, the recurring problems and delays in addressing critical issues overshadow the positives. Main Street Renewal LLC has the potential to offer quality homes, but improvements in communication and service delivery are crucial for enhancing customer satisfaction.

Main Street Renewal We love our new Home, they made us fell special

When I first saw the bad reviews, I almost went with a different property company. Mr Teague was great he always emailed me back, if he needed more information from me. It took me a few times to apply because at the time my credit was NA. I built my credit up and re applied, Christian went out of his way to let us know, he really wanted to help us. After all I was moving my business to Georgia from California with two you young children. Once we got approved, we packed and stayed at a hotel for 3 days in Georgia. On the 5th day, we recieved our Lock box code, removed the keys and opened the door. We were very surprised, all new counter tops, new carpet, new floor tiles, new appliances. Now we can focus on our business, we feel very thankful and super blessed.

Main Street Renewal HUGE SHOUT-OUT TO PATRICK GREER (Program Specialist)

I want to show my huge gratitude to Mr. Greer. He became my care specialist during a financial hardship and he pushed for me to get assistance and truly became my voice/supporter. Even now with me still not where I want to be he has been doing quality checks and making sure I am good. He is so professional and if can't answer your call due to his workload he will always email you back within a 24-hour time period. If he could be cloned I would because this is by far a more superb delivery of how outstanding customer service should be done and handled. I never felt low with him even in the midst of my defeat. Keep up the great work you are doing and just know it is noticed. I truly appreciate having you as a care specialist because you have definitely shown me you care!:-)

Main Street Renewal 10/20/23 Update

10/20/23 Update- MSR Quick response time once again, this was for an electrical repair ticket. Ryan from Ramtech has an excellent work ethic & job well done!
9/27/23 Update - Juan Medina repair 100% 5 star review!
8/10/23 update - 1st Maint/repair call: MS Renewal extremely quick turnaround/response time since entering ticket - Juan was so knowledgeable, friendly and went above and beyond! TYVM Juan!

My entire process, from application to move in day went smoothly! I especially want to thank Breana Matviak - Ft Myers Leasing Agent for always being available-so pleasant and helpful during this entire process. Also, Ian Dowdy - FM Leasing agent, helped as well, especially on closing day saved the day! I had the moving truck at the house and an Internet Installer on the way, but the home access code didn't work because of my error. I didn't pay the correct final payment (Renters - don't forget to also pay prorated days and/or rental insurance payments!) Ian & the Residence team followed through, and I received the Welcome email and code quickly. I will add another review with the repair process when needed as well. TY MSR!

Main Street Renewal Not recommended

I do not recommend renting from this company. Your concerns and questions will be ignored. The house I moved into was filthy and not well maintained. They did nothing prior to move in and had ample time. Nothing was clean, there were food stains, food splatter, mouse poop, moldy freezer, dirty fridge, sticky cupboards, dirty drawers, dirty floors and baseboards, the list keeps going. The outside is unkempt. I inquired about having it cleaned but they literally don't care and ignore any concerns. They had several weeks to address this and I never got a response despite multiple efforts. If you can, avoid this company!

Recommendation: Avoid this company

Main Street Renewal Biggest Mistake Ever

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! The company used new condition photos to advertise the home, we moved from out of state site unseen, BIG MISTAKE! They are a total slum lord style management company who send hacks to do repairs WHEN they actually get around to making any repairs. They overcharge for what this place is and charge services they say they provide and DONT, we haven't been able to use the pool but about half the time we've been here due to lack of maintenance or poor maintenance even with us making multiple requests and informing them. Conditions of the home were WAY less than sanity when we arrived for move in and just overall detrioration. Home is not to code and poses various hazardous liabilities that they know about and continue to ignore. We are stuck in this lease, if there was the option for a negative star review I'd do it! Customer service representatives can't help, resident portal doesn't work, Maintenance request platform is a joke, they don't do anything about them and you can't have more than one issue per topic at a time. Appliances didn’t work/don’t work

Recommendation: NEVER USE THIS COMPANY

Main Street Renewal Terrible Leasing Company No Local Support

I recently rented past 2 yrs and would not recommend MAINSTREET RENEWAL or MS Renewal same company. After moving into and having to deep clean and steam clean nasty carpet in one room a terrible flooring job needed repairs and numerous things needed fixed because getting things fixed is ridiculous through the WO system. Had furnace issues both winters and recently had AC issues since May causing excessive electric bills because constant running of AC unit. Had to actually turn power off on inside unit for fear of fire hazard when leaving for large periods of time. After a month finally a vendor came to look at and said whole system needed repair sent bud to MS Renewal after weeks they got approval but vendors never fixed and then new lease offer came in for another increase up to $1836 from $1650. Couldn’t afford so moved out by Aug 1 got notified that ms renewal took possession back but still charged me to Aug 22 lease end even though house was move in ready not like 2 yrs earlier when I moved in. Now I received a slap in face statement saying they charged $1181 for rent and $200 for landscaping and appliance cleaning? Company is a joke Do Not Rent from this company.

Recommendation: Do Not lease from Mainstreet or MS renewal

Main Street Renewal Horrible experience

For starters when I moved in my rental was disgustingly filthy and they didn’t care that I had to spend 3 days deep cleaning it. I now have a family emergency to which I need to move back to Maine, I have found someone to take over my lease and they will not allow it stating I am responsible for the lease until termination. This company has the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM

Recommendation: Worst company ever

Main Street Renewal Avoid Main Street Renewal at all costs!

I moved into this rental home and on the next day, I noticed a leak and water under the kitchen sink. I reported this to my rental company (Main Street Renewal) on the same day. The water to the sink and dishwasher had to be shut because the leaking was so bad it was flooding our kitchen. I now have to wash my groceries, meats, dishes in our bathroom and outside because there is no running water in the kitchen. I have tried to call them several times to follow up on my maintenance request, but they don't do anything. Me and my family will fall sick, we need a working sink to wash our food and dishes, so that we can live a normal life.

Recommendation: Avoid Main Street Renewal at all costs!

Main Street Renewal Beware of Mainstreet

Never rent , Maintenance don’t even have a Plumbing certification, The use private contractors that don’t fix what maintenance doesn’t know how to fix , I have video and Pictures and maintenance reports I plan on building a web page for such garbage services.

I regret and Hate that I thought without using reviews about a company, I advise researching this company will detour your chance of renting with them .

Main Street Renewal stay away from this company

The amount of rent we pay is not equal to the service we have received. It is a chore to get anything fixed on the property, and the lease states that you are not allowed to contact someone to come perform the repair. It has been over 90 degrees this week and my ac unit stopped working. I work from home and have 2 pets and a child in the house. These people have run me around for 3 days and still cannot give me a definitive date when they will be coming to fix it. Every other time we have submitted a work order they mark it as complete and close it out without coming to the property. It's a total shame that people can just take your money and offer nothing in return. Over 2 grand a month to get ignored.

UPDATE-I have emailed the address provided in the response to this review. it's been several weeks and no reply from them. The AC still hasn't been fixed, and now a tree has fallen in the front yard (2 weeks ago) and that is being ignored as well. not to mention since we moved in, we noticed the floor starting to lift in the kitchen, we have put 6 or 7 tickets in for this and the ticket either sits open in the system for weeks or someone marks it completed without ever coming to the property. I am extremely frustrated with this company. They really don't deserve anyone's money. It is such a shame the way this has been handled. i have called and asked to speak to managers, i am told no one is available so i request they call me back. I have never received a call back. i wrote this original review over a month ago. This place just doesn't care about you as the tenant. it's extremely disheartening and I seriously don't understand how they are still in business.

Main Street Renewal Good luck getting a response!

Please, follow everyone’s advice and DO NOT rent from these people! You’re better off living in your car than dealing with them. We’re not even a week into our lease and we’re already regretting our decision.

Overall experience is very cold, detached, and corporate. You can only reach their customer service department who is useless because all they can do is send emails. There’s no escalation process if you have any issues. You can’t even get the names of people they’re sending your requests to. They also cannot guarantee if you’ll get a response at all! Their leasing teams will completely ghost you once the lease is executed when you try to bring up that they’re not holding up to their own terms.

The portal is garbage and makes it difficult to submit any sort of requests. If you so much as blink wrong it’ll delete what you type, or not submit the request at all.

We’re a week into our lease and the house is still a wreck from the previous tenants, as well as from who knows how many people that toured the house in the 30+ days it was on the market. There is a bird nest right above the front door and a literal pile of bird droppings at the door. The toilets still has remnant of fecal matter, the walls are trashed, there’s dust and dirt everywhere, broken glass on the floor, and a moldy carpet in the utility room that’s attracting bugs. We brought this ALL up the same day we toured the house and the CS rep assured us that the house would be cleaned and we could even do a pre inspection after signing the lease to ensure the house is clean.

After many calls, emails, and tickets we keep getting the runaround, if we get a response at all. We also didn’t get our garage door opener, mail key, and the keys to the house they gave us don’t work. This is making us very scared for how the rest of the lease term will go.

Recommendation: Run away! You’re better off going with a different company

Main Street Renewal I wish I could give them 0 stars

I wish I could rate this place on here but there’s probably a reason they don’t have that option available. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY.

I moved in a year and a half ago and it has been problem after problem since. Flooding upon moving in that wasn’t resolved promptly, termites and roaches that wasn’t resolved, etc etc.

Our most recent problem has been ongoing for two months. Our dishwasher broke mid May. We submitted a maintenance request and a worker showed up about a week and a half later. He said yup you need a new one I’ll submit it. A week goes by I hear nothing so I call the line. The woman on the phone said oh ya there’s no note of that so it wasn’t ordered. She says she will escalate it and I will hear from them in a few days. A week goes by… nothing. I call again the woman on the phone says “oh there’s no notes of this I’ll escalate this.” A week goes by… nothing. I call again the man on the phone says “ya I have no update for you.” Finally I just submit another request. A worker comes out over a week later. While he’s there he broke our sink and left us without running water for two days. Also obviously didn’t fix our dishwasher. A new worker comes out a week later to submit pictures of our dishwasher for a THIRD TIME. We finally get one delivered to our house but surprise surprise it can’t be installed. Whatever idiot redid our house put the dishwasher too far away from our sink so everything will have to ripped out. A worker was supposed to come today… he never showed up. It’s been over two months of no dishwasher.

You will never ever talk to the same person more than once. Every time you email or call it will always be a different person. I was excited because I got this email saying she’d be our main contact. We heard from her one time and she no longer responds to any email.

This company is run by crooks who does not care about you or your money.

Recommendation: Don’t do it, I’d rather live in a ditch then rent from them again.

Main Street Renewal I was given a mold infested home

**DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY** ***REPORT TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU AT ONCE** We were scheduled to move in on July 1st, 2023 which is today. We paid all our fees and made sure to communicate with main street about the home and everything that came with it. We set up all the utilities and made sure that when we moved into the house we would be ready to go. We have a 15th month old so you can only imagine how it is to pack and move from Maryland to Atlanta. The house that we selected was 3689 Winding Trail Dr Douglasville, GA 30135. Since we were out of state we requested a friend to go see the property and she was only available on the weekend. They gave us a code she can use and when she got there the code wasn't working. We called Main Street and told them there is no way for us to view the property again and they informed us that our approval was only valid for 30 days so we went ahead and decided to go with the house since they guaranteed the house is inspected and fixed before we move in. On 06/28 they sent us an email saying that 'hurray maintenance request is complete.' Then they called us and told us we have to set up utilities before the 1st and gas had to have someone physically present at the house. Per the conversation, maintenance was not available in the entire state of GA so we had to drive down before to ensure that the gas is fixed. Meaning we paid for a hotel for that night which is the 30th. The 10-hour drive ended up being 16 hours because of our toddler. 12.01 am and still no access code to the house. We left the hotel to come to see the house but we couldn't access it because we didn't get the codes. You can imagine how we feel coming down and when we reach the home we saw that nothing absolutely nothing had been fixed in the home. The house had not been cleaned or even prepared for anyone to move in and live in. The toilets had not been washed the dishwasher smelt of mold, there is mold under the sink. In the garage, the microwave was just thrown in the corner. The stove is rusted and there are even cobwebs in the kitchen. The house was and is as of now 07/01/2023 a complete mess. THE HOUSE IS UNLIVABLE AND NO ONE CAN EVEN LIVE IN IT. We processed to contact main street to get see if they can get someone to come and fix it and they told us that they had to put in a ticket. I am assuming we were speaking to someone who was not even in the country because they were not responsive at all and could not give us any answers. The answer we got was we cannot give a guarantee of anything, only the internal team handles that. We asked Chris from Main Street Renewal if the house can not be fixed would we be reimbursed for the days that we have not lived there and he told us that we may not get reimbursed even though we did not even move in. We asked if we could be relocated to a home that is ready and Chris told us that we would have to terminate this lease agreement and it could take up to 30 days for someone to get back to us EVEN THOUGH THE HOUSE IS NOT LIVEABLE AT ALL IN SUCH CONDITIONS. Please note at this time we are spending money living in a hotel which per the company is at our own expense yet they cannot complete their contractual obligation. So now we are wondering what are we supposed to do. Our Uhaul is due tomorrow but we have nowhere to put our stuff. Of course, they don't care so they won't refund us for anything. At the least, a manager should have called but customer service chats are the only way to reach anyone THIS COMPANY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ITS TENANTS ITS ONLY OUT TO SCAM YOU AND KEEP YOUR MONEY. IF OUR RENT WAS DUE AND WE WERE TREATED THE WAY THEY HAVE TREATED US WE WOULD BE PUT OUT THE HOME AND RUIN OUR CREDIT. WE MAY NOT GET A RESOLUTION IMMEDIATELY BUT ONE DAY SOMEONE WILL SEE OUR COMMENTS AND USE THIS TO CREATE THEIR NEWSPIECE. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY AND MAKE SURE TO REPORT THEM TO THE RELEVANT AUTHORITIES.

Recommendation: Repost to the Better Business Bureau!!

Main Street Renewal Disappointing Experience with Main Street Renewal: Poor Communication and Neglectful Maintenance

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Main Street Renewal. I am currently leasing a property from their Memphis branch and it has been a complete nightmare. The communication from the office is a joke and it seems like they would rather be cheap than take care of their residents. I have had to repeatedly call to follow up on maintenance requests because there is no communication from their end.

To make matters worse, I was charged a $25 insurance non-compliance fee even though I have had active insurance throughout my entire time living here. When I called the office to inquire about this fee, they couldn't give me any answers and said they would have someone from the corporate office reach out to me. It has been over a month and I still haven't heard anything.

I have also put in multiple work orders for the drainage issues in my backyard for months. My dogs are unable to play in the backyard because it is always covered in mud. I contacted the office in August 2019 and was told to put it on my 30-day work order list, which I submitted in September. It took five months and seven work orders for them to finally approve for vendors to come out and fix the issue. However, the vendor did not contact me and the office did not keep me updated on the progress.

It seems like Main Street Renewal would rather not spend money on their properties to keep tenants long term. I will not be staying in this home and will never rent from Main Street Renewal again. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for a rental property.

Main Street Renewal Security deposit check

I am a past resident of this company I called again my 20th time calling and 30 emails another representative told me my security deposit check of $1,865.00 has been sent to the incorrect address again this is the 5th time!

I've called an attorney today to sue for the amount of the security deposit+ legal fees and 20% more. I have recordings and emails about this ongoing issue.

This is ridiculous! The check has been sent to the incorrect address again since November 2023!

Desired outcome: I want my security deposit check.

Main Street Renewal Application fee

I got scammed out of my application money. I applied for a home in Georgia, they charged me an extra 300$ that wasn’t supposed to be charged. They gave me back 200$ but then told me that the home applied for is actually not available and was taken off the market! I paid for an application of $100 for a service to be approved for a home. That home wasn’t even available and someone mistakenly put it online to receive applications. I paid for a service and got scammed out of the money. I was told it’s non refundable, which is understood if the home I applied for was actually available!

Claimed loss: $100

Desired outcome: $100

Main Street Renewal Appliance Maintenance Service

I reported a dishwasher malfunction and burnt smell since 8/16/2023 using the new MS Renewal App, filed the request and got a service number. Technician came almost two weeks later to confirm it needs to be replaced, but did not confirm when. I am still waiting for information when dishwasher is arriving and when another technician is coming to install it. He explained is two separate events and might take up to two weeks apart from each other. Beast case scenario is that will take 5-6 weeks to get a replacement.

I have called in several times to get more information, but they don't have any, at one point they mentioned the service case was closed and need to explain again for several minutes for them to get it reopened.

Service and communication is inexistent. Nobody knows precise answers on specific dates, only apologies.

Desired outcome: I need exact dates when dishwasher is arriving to replace the burnt unit.

Main Street Renewal No working ac since move in

I have a relative who moved into a property on May 9, 2023. Since they have been in the property the ac in the home has not worked. He has put in multiple request to get the situation resolved and it's still not fixed. Asked to speak to supervisor numerous of times and was told that they would give him a call back. Never received a call back. Asked to be put into another home due to ac not working and has small kids in the home. Was told that was terminating his lease agreement. He had to buy ac units to put around the home just to try to keep it somewhat comfortable when temperatures are 90 and above. Outrageous light bills. Was told that he would be credited but has to wait until the work order is completed. A work order that has been open since moving into the property. 5 different technicians have been to the home and the ac is still not working. He has proof of the work orders that he put in. Also recordings from when the technicians explained what's going on.

I moved in a property that Mainstreet manage. Maintenace won’t do repairs. Complaining on the portal doesn’t help. I wonder if the property owners know how bad the management is. I would think they would check on their properties care not just collect the money.

I am, once again, attempting to supply information about an ongoing issue with the property at 10526 Tanoan Lane. My neighbors and I have dealt with these issues for the past 3 years. The last tenants of this property did the very same things. The grass has been cut only 3 times since March and only because it was reported to the city. Today, the front...

Main Street Renewal Property being rented from MSR

I rented this home May 29, 23 I complained about things being fixed before moving in. I was emailed by MSR telling me maintenance person would be out to fix those issues before I moved in. Upon moving in I discovered it was never fixed which was a molded base board underneath the kitchen sink. Along with a host of other problems. Biggest not having any running water in either bathroom for 5 days. Infestation of spiders and roaches which my daughter was bit by a spider. Carpet that should have been changed walls should have been painted, there was no access to the attic. Garage didn’t work, toilet in master bedroom was not bolted down. I was only compensated 120 for being without water for 5 days. Today is July 12 and still the list of problems have not been fixed. I contacted MSR via SMS, emails, phone calls and still nothing. They send workers out that day they can’t fix the problem. One guy told me MSR doesn’t pay him enough to get in the ceiling and change the air filter. On June 27, 23 I called about my air not working, they told me they couldn’t get anyone out to fix it until July 5 and they didn’t come until July 6. Mins you it was 90-100 degrees outside. My kids and I was not a priority. But they still expect my rent . I will be paying my money into the court and doing a counter claim lawsuit’s

Main Street Renewal Multiple future resident & resident portal and poor unprofessional customer service

I live in Dallas county in Lancaster, TX and Main Street Renewal is the worst company I've ever dealt with. I've had problems with my home since day one. I was really excited to move into one of the homes from MSRenewal. The first leasing agent I talked to was really nice and stated that since I paid the amount pro-rated and move-in fee, I didn't have a deposit, but things started to go downhill from there. Once approved I was advised I had to move in within 2 weeks even though my daughter had 3 weeks of school left, so I paid rent in 2 locations. I was told I didn't have a deposit, but the rude MSR customer service rep wouldn't confirm with Landlord.

There was Bulk Trash in the driveway prior to my move in of May 13th left by the Lawn Maintenance Team. I have added the Bulk Trash Violation images on 5/23/2023 for your review. This is something I should not be held accountable for.

The carpet is filthy, but there's nothing they will do about that.

Now there are issues with my Smart Lock and they changed Resident Portals, so I'm didn't receive the new portal email. My password does not work and this is my 4th portal app update when I've only been since May 13th. I wouldn't wish this on any resident because this is by far the worst experience I've ever dealt with.

Desired outcome: I would like my Resident Portal fixed, the Front Door Smart Lock fixed, Bulk Thrash cleared w/violation dealt with, and better customer service since I will never be able to speak with my Landlord.

Main Street Renewal Company needs to make repairs asap

My home was struck by lightning Tuesday May 30th. I did the maintenance request that night and I called them first thing in the morning! I have no working stove, air conditioning and half the lights and electric outlets don’t work. My living ceiling has a crack and a window was cracked also. The attic insulation was literally on fire and the FD had to put it out! I have had to call daily since then and yesterday 6/20/2023 they sent someone out to check on the unit! He stated they sent him to check the electrical issue and that’s all he was authorized to do. He looked at the ac but couldn’t fix it. I got a text saying they was gone send vendors out but that’s it! Temperatures are in the 100s here in Texas and me and my kids are without ac and food. My neighbors bring and buy us food and a few of them are dealing with the same problem themselves with Main Street! This is negligence

Main Street Renewal Main Street Renewal: Terrible Customer Service and False Promises

I moved into one of Main Street Renewal's properties on March 24, 2020. I applied on March 11, and they offered me a $500 gift card. I was excited about the offer and asked Sheena Williamson about it on March 19. She told me that she was waiting for Barrie Bennett to reply. After a few days, she came back and said that I would get the gift card after two full months of rent were paid. She advised me to email Barrie Bennett about it.

So, after I paid my rent for June, I emailed Barrie Bennett, the leasing agent, and asked about the move-in offer. To my surprise, she told me that I was not eligible for the offer because it had expired five days before I applied. I was disappointed and confused. I asked her why I was not informed earlier and where it stated the expiration date on the offer. Barrie replied that she would forward my concern to higher management, but no one has responded to me until now.

It took Main Street Renewal three months to do any repairs from when I moved in on March 24. I understood that the pandemic might have caused some delays, but I put in numerous requests, and they kept getting canceled until I started complaining.

My air conditioner went out on Friday, July 16. They referred me to a company on Sunday, July 21, but I called and emailed them twice every day until Wednesday. I emailed Barrie Bennett about not getting in contact with anyone and being without air for almost five days. She told me that a work order was put in, and they should be contacting me. She advised me to try contacting them instead of her assisting me by calling herself as a concerned Main Street employee.

I had to call corporate to get a representative to help me. The first company to whom Main Street sent the work order was not accepting orders. The representative had to find another company that would take the work order. The new company sent someone out yesterday, July 25, and figured out that the fan was gone on the AC and needed a new one. I am still without air, and I have not heard from them anymore.

It is frustrating that I cannot get in contact with anyone from this company. If I do, they have terrible customer service like Barrie Bennett. I am paying $1725.00 monthly for a home, and I cannot get anything done with this company. I would never recommend them to anyone. I am going on my social network where I have over 38,000 followers to make sure everyone is aware!

Main Street Renewal Main Street Renewal: Irresponsible and Unfair Rental Company

I gotta tell ya, my experience with Main Street Renewal was not a good one. I mean, it all started with this FOUL ODOR that was coming from the dining area next to the kitchen and living room. It was so bad that we had to live in our bedrooms and order takeout food. Can you believe that? We couldn't even use the main living areas of our own home!

So, I complained about it for 8 weeks straight. And you know what they did? They took their sweet time finding out what the problem was. Turns out, it was pet urine buildup under the floor, in the baseboards, and even in some of the drywall. It was so bad that even the insulation was soaked with it. And get this, they made 2/3 attempts to just neutralize the odor by pouring stuff along the floorboards. Like, seriously? That's not gonna fix the problem!

It wasn't until they finally uncovered the severity of the situation that they put us up in a hotel for 5 days to make repairs. That just shows you how bad it was. And you know what they did after all that? They tried to blame it on MY pets and refused to give me any credit for those 8 weeks! Can you believe that? All my new neighbors know that it was the previous owner who had several pets she left unattended every day and would never allow anyone in her house!

And get this, they're trying to charge me another deposit because they "claim" I had an unauthorized pet in the home. Like, what? I have 2 pets on lease and have just 2 pets. They denied my credit request and it's just not fair. NO one pet can cause that much damage in just one week! I reported the problem in my first week here! And if they were right, then my home would be smelling again by now, 4 weeks after repairs, right? But it's not! I keep a clean home always! The odor is gone now.

I have an impeccable LIFELONG history of leaving rentals better than I got them! ALL my prior landlords loved me! I ALWAYS pay on time! Always have! This is just outrageous! Their claim has NOTHING to do with the problem I reported!

And to top it all off, I was new here to an HOA and was told by the HOA to not park my work truck in the driveway. So, we immediately stopped, no fine, just a friendly letter. But this company fines me for it. They never even informed me there was an HOA!

Let me tell you, stay clear of this company! They look for reasons to charge YOU more money! And they blame tenants for problems that were their responsibility! It's just not right.

Main Street Renewal Warning: Stay Away from Msrenewal/Orlando Leasing for Home Rentals

So, if you're looking to rent a home, I would advise you to steer clear of Msrenewal/Orlando Leasing. My family and I found a house on the market that looked like it had been recently renovated, and we were able to go check it out. Everything seemed to be in working order - the water was running, the electricity was on, and the AC was working. We decided to move forward with the application process, and on July 20th, we were approved. We signed the lease the next day, paid our first, last, and security deposits, and set our move-in date for July 30th.

But then, just three days before we were supposed to move in, we got a call from Msrenewal saying that they were having issues with the AC and it needed to be replaced. They told us it would be a while before it was fixed, and suggested we move in on August 15th instead. To make sure this wasn't a scam, I called the city of New Smyrna Beach and asked for more information. They told me that Msrenewal had been fined for doing work without a permit, and that they were still waiting for the contractor's information.

Over the next month, we had several phone conversations and email exchanges with Msrenewal, but they kept pushing back our move-in date. Finally, they told us that it would be another two months before the house was ready. They suggested we look at a different home, but when we went to see it, we immediately noticed that it didn't look like it would pass inspections. The countertops were cut too long, so the dishwasher didn't fit, and the doors looked like they had been damaged.

It's been a frustrating experience, and we haven't been able to talk to anyone higher up who can explain what's going on. I have a young child, and our current townhome neighbors keep asking when we're moving, but we don't have an answer. It's not fair to play with someone's home like this, and Msrenewal should be ashamed of themselves. I wouldn't want anyone else to go through what we've been through.

Main Street Renewal Main Street Renewal: Negligent, Unresponsive, and Dangerous - A Warning to All Home Renters and Buyers

I live in Browns Summit, NC and I gotta say, Main Street Renewal is the worst company I've ever dealt with. I've had problems with my home since day one. On the second day, my tub was stopped up, my second bathroom was leaking water under the sink, and the kitchen sink was leaking water. They said they fixed it, but a few months later, the kitchen sink was leaking again. When I called them, they said it wasn't an emergency and wouldn't come out. The leak got worse and filled my entire floor, running down the back of the home. It took multiple people to come out and fix it, and it took two months. Every plumber blamed the next plumber. I also had issues with water backing up in the dishwasher. The main water source had leaking water coming from it, running onto my floor. Next, there was leaking water from the master bedroom sink. It took days to fix. I told them I thought there was mold growing in the home because of the smell, but all they did was cover it up with wood. Now, I have a leaking shower with water running between the walls. I found out when mold began to grow on the roof of my garage ceiling and in my son's closet. They sent more people out, but one of them went to jail the next day for stealing! Yes, the next maintenance guy told me that when they returned. I've been speaking with Rachel Closner in the triad area for months about my concerns and that I would like to be placed out of the home because of so much water damage and mold. She did NOTHING. She never apologized until I brought it up. They did nothing to accommodate me for all the issues. I went weeks without being able to use my shower and lived in a home with mold for months. My kids and I were exposed to it, and this company did NOTHING. They told me they could NOT accommodate me. Do NOT rent or buy from these people. They do not care about you and will allow you to live in harmful conditions.

Main Street Renewal Main Street Renewal: Terrible Customer Service and Maintenance Issues

I gotta tell you, this company Main Street Renewal is a real piece of work. I put down a deposit to hold a home, but they went and gave it to someone else! So I found another place to move into, but the dates kept getting pushed back because of "construction". But let me tell you, I drove by that place three times and there was no construction going on! They kept changing the move-in date, from July 25th to July 28th to August 4th and then back to July 31st. I tried calling and messaging them on Facebook, but no one would respond. They kept saying they were "escalating" my call to a manager, but I never heard back from one.

Finally, I moved in and it was a total disaster. The shower faucet head was missing, so I couldn't even take a shower! The house was dirty and the dishwasher racks were broken, so I couldn't even wash my dishes. The water wouldn't drain out of the sink, and it was leaking too. I tried to put in a work order, but the earliest they could send someone out was August 19th! And get this, they sent me an email saying that if anything was damaged, I would be charged for it! How can they hold me accountable for something that was broken when I moved in?

This company is all about money, and they don't care about their customers. Their agents are rude and their customer service is terrible. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Main Street Renewal Main Street Renewal: A Nightmare Experience with Unprofessional Agents and Poor Communication

I gotta tell ya, I had a real bad time with Main Street Renewal. Like, seriously, don't even bother with these guys.

So, me and my partner were looking for a new place to live and we thought we'd give these guys a try. We called 'em up and they said it wouldn't be a problem that my partner was on furlough from work because they look at the last three months of bank statements. Sounded good to us, so we went ahead and looked at some properties.

We found one we liked and applied for it. We gave 'em all the info they asked for, paid the application fee, and uploaded our IDs and other documents. Then, our local agent, Michelle, sends us an email asking for our bank statements with proof of direct deposit. We sent 'em over, but we blacked out everything that wasn't direct deposit because it's none of their business.

Then, Michelle emails us again asking for our bank statements. We're like, "Uh, we already sent 'em to you." But she doesn't clarify what's missing. So we ask her again, and she still doesn't clarify. Finally, we get a rejection letter because they only looked at my income and not my partner's.

Then, we get an email from a second agent, Ryann, saying they never read beyond the first two pages of bank statements and assumed there was no additional income. Like, what the heck? They would have seen it if they bothered to look at all the info we sent 'em.

So, I ask for a refund on the application fee since they didn't even bother to read the info we gave 'em. But then, this guy Paul gets involved and he thinks just because his website has a disclaimer that the application fee is legally binding. Like, come on, man.

Honestly, it seems like all they care about is collecting application fees without actually renting out their properties. So, save yourself the trouble and find a different company to work with.

Main Street Renewal Untrustworthy Leasing Office: My Experience with Msrenewal Homes

I gotta say, I was really excited to move into one of the homes from Msrenewal. The first leasing agent I talked to was pretty cool, but things started to go downhill from there. I have two service dogs, and I made sure to let them know when I applied for the house. But when they sent me the first leasing agreement, it only showed one dog and I had to pay a deposit for the other. I told my agent about it, and she said she'd fix it and send me a new lease to sign. I signed it and thought everything was good to go.

She told me I had to pay $200 in prorated charges and $1495 in rent. But she never mentioned anything about a security deposit. I even asked her about it, and she said I didn't need to pay one. My roommate was there with me the whole time, so I know I'm not making this up. And get this - she told me my second month of rent would be half off! I was stoked.

But then, on the day I was supposed to move in, I got an email from someone else at the company saying I couldn't move in because I hadn't paid a dog deposit fee. What?! My leasing agent told me I didn't have to pay any fees for my service dogs! I couldn't find the lease she sent me, but I did get an automated email saying she revised it. But when I asked her about it, she denied doing it. And what about the half-off rent for my second month? Nope, apparently that was just a lie. Everyone else got that deal except for me.

I was so frustrated. Msrenewal was nice and tried to help, but the Dallas leasing office was a mess. How was I supposed to know all this information if no one told me? I had to pay another $1695 that I wasn't expecting less than a month after paying the first $1695. I should have taken screenshots of everything, but I trusted them. My advice to anyone dealing with this company is to screenshot and record every conversation, because they'll call you a liar if you don't have proof. I hope no one else has to deal with this, and I hope Msrenewal finds a leasing office that's actually trustworthy.

Main Street Renewal Main Street Renewal: A Ripoff Company with Unprofessional Customer Service and Poor Maintenance

I've been living in Main Street Renewal for three years now and I recently got approved to transfer to a new home. Let me tell you, their whole process needs a major overhaul on how they deal with customers. Main Street Renewal charged me $150 in non-compliance rental fees, and I didn't find out until after I signed the lease for my new home. I provided thorough documentation to Main Street Renewal, even had USAA call directly to advise and verify what was needed to verify no lapse of coverage. The documentation was sent, verified, and accepted, but Main Street Renewal is still telling me that I must pay this fee for insurance that was never canceled.

To make matters worse, when I signed my new lease, I had a pet dog and agreed to pay a pet deposit. However, two days ago, I had to return my dog to the SPCA due to life changes. It was a tearful experience, but now Main Street Renewal is telling me that I must still pay the pet deposit even though I no longer have a dog. I'm beyond angry at this company, and their unprofessional and ignorant customer service supervisor in the east side office was no help and actually made the problem worse.

I've seen many reviews from other residents going through the same problem with this company. I should not have to pay for insurance through Main Street Renewal since I've proven that I never had a lapse in coverage. Also, I shouldn't have to pay a pet fee for a dog I no longer have and haven't even moved into my new place. Something needs to be done about these crooks.

Chapter 2 of my experience with Main Street Renewal is that I just found out that the home I'm renting for $1,600 a month, which I just moved into on 02/25/19, has a really bad leak. The plumber stated that when he tried to fix it, the pipe broke since the house was built in 1999 and has old pipes. The leak flooded the kitchen, leaked through the roof since the kitchen is upstairs, and caused the roof in the downstairs bedroom to collapse.

To add insult to injury, these con men are so cheap that they installed spotlights around the house with no off switch. So now there are three floodlights that can't be turned off outside of the home. I'm telling you, believe all the reviews. Main Street Renewal is a ripoff. They charge excessive amounts for renting their homes but provide little in return. I'm really angry right about now, and I've seen so many bad reviews that my next step is to contact a news station to get them involved, then an attorney.

Spend your hard-earned honest money with a reputable company. These people will screw you over once the lease is signed and the money is taken.
