Love's Travel Stop review: Supposed policy about identification

To whom it may concern,

I frequent the love's travel stop here in Belen, N. M 87002 and by frequent I mean I am in the store normally more than once a day and have NEVER had any problems of any kind at the place.

However today 12/3/2023 I had a very big problem in my opinion by a manager no less I walked in to purchase a pack of cigarettes which I do often I explained to the lady that the ID which I showed her was expired but that I have the copy that was sent to me online through my email from the MVD of the renewed and the temporary ID that manager then proceeds to tell me that that will not be accepted as an ID that they just had a big meeting about this that they're only allowed to accept card form of the ID I then proceeded to tell her that that's [censored] because this is illegal in binding document there that the MVD sent me and States I am to show it with my expired ID and that it is The legal version of it until my physical card comes in. Well needless to say regardless of what I had to say The manager refused to accept that and said that she is not allowed to accept it nor is any of the employees there and that I could not purchase anything that needed ID so in light of this information which is now really pissed me off I will be doing less business there until this corporation can learn how to inform their management team of what is legal and not legal and maybe even here their customers out a little bit better because she didn't even ask me to show her the document from the MVD online she just wasn't having any of it so I really appreciate it if you would learn to better educate your management team here at The loves travel stop here in Belen New Mexico
