Longs Drugs Bait and switch

1-20-2025 I purchased an item at Longs Drugs. The price that I was charged was twice the price as the listed price. When I pointed this out to the cashier I was told just enter your phone number which was rejected. I checked to see if there was a different price for "members" , there wasn't. It wasn't worth my time to argue or shop somewhere else.
I will never ever shop at Longs Drugs or CVS again.

Recommendation: Spend your money somewhere else don't shop at Longs Drugs

Longs Drugs Taking way too long for prescriptions.

It is ridiculous that it would take over a week to fill prescriptions. They say they are working on. I don't understand that at all. The service at this long's pharmacy in the world is inexcusable. Why it would take so long to get an easy prescription anywhere else. Why can't the pharmacy at this longs work like the others do and all these prescriptions that I have ordered? I usually get within 24 hours with no problem at all.

Desired outcome: Get the pharmacy to do their job.

It is absolutely inexcusable for longs in Waimea. To be waiting 2 weeks and prescriptions. They say they are working on very common prescriptions. I should say. What is wrong with this place? When I lived in Hilo I could get my prescriptions filled in 24 hours at Safeway. What is the problem with them not doing their job, right?

If you're dealing with service like this, it's time to get straight to the point. This kind of delay is unacceptable. You need to go to the pharmacy, talk to the manager, and demand an explanation. Don't settle for excuses. If they say they're "working on it," ask them why it takes so long compared to other places. Be firm and clear. Tell them you expect your prescriptions filled promptly, like you get everywhere else. If they can't do that, make it known you won't tolerate incompetence. Don't let them give you the runaround. Get your meds, or find a place that respects your time.

Longs Drugs Return policy

Today April 16th, I tried to return a charging pad that did not work. A big local guy with Tattoos and two earings who could not figure out how to use the printer. refused to refund my money even with a receipt. He said he had to test it with my phone. Not only absurd for a purchase made yesterday on the 15th but what an invasion of privacy and my rights. I through the in trash with the receipt right in front of him and said test this. If I had been a local istead of a white guy I am sure they would have issued a refund immediately. I have seen them allow people to walk out with items trip the alarm and do nothing. This has to be the worst store in the system. Longs on south Kihei road in Maui. If you are white avvoid it at all costs. Quite the racial discrimination over and over.

I expect a 50 dollar credit to my account. 25 for the item and 25 for the complete lack of integrity by longs.

Longs Drugs Wrongly accused of theft without proof, and not allowed in the store anymore.

On January 11, 2024 in Longs Drugs in Mililani Mauka, Hawaii, a worker told us we are no longer allowed in the store. They said some customers accused of us putting things in our bags, possibly stealing, on several occasions.

We never stole anything from that store and we're frequent customers.

Probably the other customers saw us fixing our bags since we usually carry more than one bag. While fixing our bags, the other customers thought we were stealing items.

How stupid to make a complaint about us without proof. Did they have camera footage of us stealing? No proof at all. The store just took other customers complaints against us.

We shop at Longs Drugs all the time, now we feel it's a terrible place to shop if we get kicked out of the store without legal proof. That's bad customer service! Be careful of roving eyes at Longs Drugs-Mililani Mauka, Hawaii, they might accuse you of theft, without proof!

Desired outcome: Apology for wrongly accusing us of theft. Lift the ban and allow us to continue shopping in that store (CVS/Longs Drugs in Mililani Mauka, Hawaii).

To Whom This May Concern:

I am LIVID and disappointed about the experience had the LONGS DRUGS at 2155 Kalakaua Avenue on the evening of November 3, 2023. This complaint is in regards to TRN:9146 CSHR#1291990 STR#10621. If you would like to see a copy of the receipt, I have it.

My son visited the Kapiolani Medical Centre for croup and vomiting a few days prior. We were told to fill the prescription here. The experience we had here with 2 of your employees, one being the pharmacist is appalling. We went in to fill the prescription, and when picking up the prescription, the employee cashing me out said that I am only to give my son 1 tablet maximum a day, and every 3 hours. I asked her if she was the pharmacist, and she said no. I therefore do not understand why a cashier who cashes out prescriptions is giving information about medication. I asked to speak with the pharmacist. The pharmacist came over, and I explained the situation that we had visited the hospital, and that my son was continuing to vomit, and that we were told to fill the prescription if he continued to vomit. She looked at me like I was an alien. I also asked her to clarify the information that the cashier had just told me. She had no idea what she was doing. She started arguing with the cashier, who said she was “just reading the notes.” The pharmacist told me that he could take half a tablet every 8 hours. Which also didn’t make sense. I told her what she was saying was contradictory to the notes that I had in front of me from the hospital. She asked me his weight, and went back to calculate. THIS was unbelievable. My husband and I were in shock. Finally, I told her that she was behaving very unprofessional, and that she should know the answer to these questions, and why are your cashiers telling patients information about medication. Finally, she said that she was “:confused.” If you are confused, you should not have people’s lives and medications in your hands. This pharmacist should be reprimanded for her behaviour. We were so scared, that we took the medication and left, and never gave it to our son, from all the conflicting information given.

Based on the uncertainty of the information given, and the fact that we were in a country thousands of miles from home, we did not administer this medication as we were scared. Consumers have various rights, and when these rights are violated, the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services and the Better Business Bureau of Waikiki takes it very seriously. I trust that you will govern yourself accordingly by investigating of this matter and respond back in writing in a timely manner. At this point, I am requesting a full refund back for this prescription, where the information given from the pharmacist was unreliable at best.

Longs Drugs Customer service

Went shopping at your Mililani Mauka Location.

Never will shop there again, and I will make sure to let all my friends and family know how you treat customers with your pre-dispositions.

I received a phone call from my Manager. Unfortunately, I was on the phone with the Manager to help resolve an issue she was having at one of my Restaurants.

During this time, I failed to get a cart and walked into your store. While on the phone I roamed around in the store for approximately 19 minutes.

When I was done, I realized I needed a wagon. As I was walking out, I noticed you gesturing to the man you were speaking to and both of you looked toward me. You watched me as I left and returned with a wagon.

I shopped.

Your self check out cashier told me I couldn’t use the self check out. And there was NO ONE in line. Instead he calls someone to come and ring my purchase.

I asked “I am not allowed to use the check out because I was walking around on my phone?”

Cashier gently smile and said oh no. It’s just easier for you to come to me.

She was Pleasant but I am not buying that excuse.

As I leave with my PURCHASED items. You stand there and watch as I leave.

If you are trying watch your inventory against thieves. I suggest you use another method.

You were unprofessional, rude and arrogant at

best. To think that any customer would want to be back to your store, when the prices are 100% higher than Wal Mart down the street.

I just wished I had gotten a picture of you, then I could show people what a weak Manager looks like. All you had to do was ask what I was doing.

Longs Drugs Store manager - Longs Kuala Pearl City

Date - 10/10/23 And Time - 1:25 PM Name - Christophe (Manager) My Name Is Jo Ann , and I was at your store to buy some items and the cashier called me over to ring up my items in my cart , It was REG # 03 / Tran #5147 / CSHR # 0846682 / STR #4728 . My Complaint is that when I down loaded my coupons to my cell phone , I ask Christophe how come it did not take off the $ 2.00 amount. he said that i did not load it , but i did and i even showed it to him and he started to scold me and said that it was my fault , and he was also speaking to me very mean and rude. He should not be a Manager he does not know how to speak and treat customers properly.

Desired outcome: I would like an apology and he should be discipline and also take a training class for customer service.

Longs Drugs Security

The security officer saw my ex rip my bag off of my arm and when I asked him to do something he said to call the cops. We were in front of longs in the entry way where he could see and he did not help at all. Security is suppose to be there to help you while ON the premises of longs and he cursed at me and was of no help at all. The manager was very very helpful and captured it on cameras he was not and I’m thinking of filing a suit against your company. I need to be contacted asap.

Longs Drugs Expired body armour drink

I bought my son 2 BODY ARMOUR strawberry banana drinks at Nanakuli, HI Longs .. he drank 1 not realizing it was expired (nobody thinks a store is selling expired products) and the 2nd drink has no date on it .. he has a terrible stomach ache .. he has been on the toilet for the last hour and a half cant eat or drink anything without it coming out .. he was absolutely fine before the drink ! Why are you selling expired drinks making people sick like this ? I am sick of being harassed by you over prescriptions to the point where I am no longer going to use Longs. You call sometimes twice a day, and I used to receive many texts until I stopped text completely. I used to be very satisfied with Walgreens and I am going back even though they are not conviently located. Also pharmacist one at your 3321 Waialae store has pissed me off multiple times with her rude attitude.

Longs Drugs Pharmacist

I need to know who I can contact to lodge a complaint having to do with a pharmacist at your Waimea Hawaii Longs. Once again the said pharmacist, Dennis at Longs, denied my refill on time. He wanted me to wait 2 days past when said medication Buprenorphine was to be filled and had me call my doctor unnecessarily and request an early refill. I go by when your HMSA web site says I can reorder my refill at a monthly interval. It is supposed to be every 28 days The other pharmacists are always compliant and fill my order on time. I take a maintenance dose of the medication for chronic back pain. So I need to have it on time and sometimes a few extra for emergencies. He is shorting me 3 to 6 pills a month according to his policy. Why do the other pharmacists comply and he doesn't and who can I complain to? This is not the first time this has happened. He seems to have his own set of rules, like he's more knowledgeable that the doctor. Thank you for your time.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a review of his policies and attitude . Seems to be on a power trip over patients.

I am having the EXACT same problem with Longs in Kona. When I spoke to the pharmacist, I was told “that’s just how it works”. Often when I have this same medication refilled, I’ll come back to get it only to find they gave it to someone else, causing mine to not be refilled up for 4 to 5 days later. Longs has a monopoly on the island and know it. They treat customers horrible, no caring. Even my doctor has said “they know this is a regular prescription for you every month, why are they always out”? I told my Dr It’s a monthly problem. The pharmacist said it’s normal and nothing they can do. Basically go somewhere else if you don’t like our service. I hope someone starts a class action lawsuit against Longs, I’ll definitely support that!

Longs Drugs Longs pahoa pharmacy customer service

I went to Longs Pharmacy in Pahoa to ask for vacation refill of my diabetic medication and insomnia medication. I was told by a pharmacy employee there that I need to call my insurance because my refill is not until later date (way past the date I am leaving for vacation, which I also explained to this person). I reached out to my doctor to help me since this pharmacy is of no help. My doctor sent them prescriptions for the two medications. I waited and days past without me getting notification of my prescriptions being refilled. I called back the pharmacy and this person was rude. I asked her to help me refill vacation medications and she cut me off saying she will call the insurance but its not a guarantee the insurance will approve. She said she will give me a call. I then asked her how will I know if the insurance approved it or not. Again in her rude voice, she said I already told you I will give you a call. Her name was Jerilyn or Jennylyn and she needs to be educated on how to deal with sick customers. Longs Pahoa. You need to train your staff not to be rude to customers. I had to call my insurance and explain to them how I was treated at Longs Pahoa and they were very nice to help me.

We drove to town to pick up my husbands meds before we went to the ER because he was already in pain. We let them know the situation. They said the prescription got kicked back for a PA (which has never happened before with the same prescription). Longs Drugs Rhoades pharmaceutical

It is being exposed that longs/cvs along with all the other big chain pharmacies, are taking kickbacks from rhoades pharmaceuticals. Their manufacturing of opioids especially oxycodone is literally poison. Left making very disabled patients sick with zero pain relief. Not to mention rhoades is purdue pharma repackaged! This is the sackler family at it again! Shame on longs/cvs for giving the company that helped ruin loves of pain patients and addicts. You will also be held responsible one day as I hear pain advocates involved with legislation and lobbyists are looking deeply into this. Boycott your main pharmacies and go to the mom and pop places thats who we need to support. They found rhoades oxycodone doesnt even have the right chemicals in it, its been tested. We are coming for rhoades no matter how long it takes.

Desired outcome: Longs needs to take requests for certain brands. The DEA does not have a medical license to practice medicine.
