I ordered 2 shirts and received 1 not as described, I told them I wanted to return it, never heard back and they canceled the 2nd shirt and kept my money for both shirts. I have tried to contact several times and no response. This company should not be shut down. After reading all the reviews I don't understand how they can continue doing this to people.

Scam - impossible to return
On January 6 I placed an order for three dresses because I read the fine print refund policy which said if orders are returned within two weeks we’re good to go. I ordered three dresses off the rack to try on, amounting to over $500 in total.
They arrived too late for the event and I wanted to return all of them unopened. Went online and started the return process. It was cumbersome, but I did it.
I was told to wait for an email “approving my return”. My return was not approved. Their reason (they pulled this out of a hat) was that my dresses were “customized.”
I am still out $500, the big bag of dresses taking up space in my apartment and no return address or their assurance that they’ll take it back.
Desired outcome: I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!!

3 dresses
Wed 21/12/2022 I purchased 3 dresses from Light in the box.
Order Number [protected].
All dresses ordered were the same style and I deliberately ordered larger sizes than I require, ensuring a loose fit.
- all three dresses were sized way too small to even get on
- one dress was not even the style ordered.
- none of the dresses had the sleeve style advertised
- none of the dresses had the same soft fall fabric as they pictured.
I complained and asked for a full refund with a return of the dresses but have not had any success with them - only silence.
As they failed to provide what I ordered, I expect a full refund of what they charged me, including the delivery fee.
Desired outcome: I will return the dresses to the Australian address they were sent to me from and expect a refund of the full amount I paid them

Buyers beware! You will not get your money back if you don’t like the look or feel of the dress you buy from Light in the Box. Might be ok for the small ticket things, but for a semi-formal gown, that’s a lot of $$ down the drain.

Refund policy
Stupidly, I didn’t realize this company was trading in Asia as the delivery took weeks.
The item I ordered was too tight in the sleeves, and there was no Size Guide recommended for sleeves on their website.
On asking for a refund, I enclosed photos and measurements of the sleeve as requested.
I have sent 2 follow-up email and have had no response. I do not want a % refund or a coupon, I want a refund.
Perhaps my next step should be full ‘publicity’ on social media for maximum reader response

Product/return policy
Product ordered was NOT as depicted on web site, sizing was wrong, zipper on wrong side and RETURN policy was terrible. I was told to RETURN the item to ASIA, at the cost of $20.00 - $ 30.00 dollars. This was almost as much as I payed for the item. Buyer should be aware of deceptive practices and VERY poor return policy.
YUCK Gave the item to a thrift store.

Made to order return policy
In late December, I ordered three clothing items from Light In The Box website. I ordered them in a size offered (per their size guide) and a color offered.
When I received the items this week, each one was too small and I am not able to wear them. When I went to the website to return them, I was horrified and shocked to learn they were non-refundable. The reason being they were classified as "made to order". Never did I provide my personal measurements to order these items so I do not understand how they could consider these to be "made to order" just for me.
When I went in to investigate, I see that far below the "add to cart" icon, there is a made to order note which reads as follows: This is a Made to Order item, which is produced one by one. All sizes and color choices, including all custom measurements, require additional tailoring time.
Again, I never provided my measurements and I see if I had they would have charged me an additional 17.99 fee. No where did it say that the items were non-refundable.
The total of these items is 400, which is a large amount of money to me. I work hard for my money, so now I am out 400 and stuck with three outfits I cannot wear.
I have ordered many clothing items on line due to my busy work schedule and never has something not been refundable. That is the whole purpose of shopping on line rather in the store knowing that you can return the item if needed since you are not trying it on in person.
Light in the Box certainly did not made it clear when ordering that this was the case. I believe many people would not order these items (including me) if I had known they were non-refundable.
I'll take responsibility for not reading "below the add to cart line"; which still did not state they were non-refundable; however, I want to share my experience so that others do not make the same mistake.
I will never order from this company again and would not recommend anyone else to either.

I am horrified that this company is still going! At no point in this transaction have i given measurements for it to be ‘tailored’ or ‘made to order’. But they have said that i cannot have a refund because it was in this category!
I have ordered a size and colour that was already advertised on the website, with no information above the ‘add to basket’ that it was one of those items. (Why would i look any further down than that?)
Also, as i have gone back to investigate, nothing in the ‘made to order’ drop box, does it say anything about the returns policy of these items.

Supply and return were both in the last week. But the focus of my complaint is that I have never received any documents (eg invoice) which support the transaction. I have been unable to identify the corporate identity and details of the supplier with who I am in contract. My email enquiries are answered as though by a thick robot and without human involvement.
I do not know the authority of the COMPLAINTS BOARD (if any). I suspect I am unlikely to receive the refund promised and in that event should like to know the identity of my resulting debtor. Thank you, Julian Vallance.

Men fleece sweatpants joggers
Ordered two of the men fleece sweatpants joggers 01-05-2023, the cost $7.99 a piece. A white pair 1x and yellow pair1x. Ordered seven more of the same men fleece joggers the next day01-06-2023. Well I got confirmation on the ones I ordered 01-06-2023 and shipping info, but not for the two I ordered 01-05-2023. They also over charged my credit card…the price for the two men fleece sweatpants joggers $7.99 plus taxes and shipping fee. Well the math on the taxes for shipping fee is not $50.83 for two pants

I have purchased a Christmas pyjama set on Monday the 28th of November for $64.15 from Light In a Box
I recieved a package from DHL on Sunday the 11th of December with only ONE of the pyjamas. I order FOUR.
I order an XL (which I received), a Large and 2 x smaller ones.
I am so disappointed that it has not delivered all four.
I have called DHl and they have told me that this was the only item they received from Light In a box.

Shirt arrived damaged in the production process
I have ordered numerous shirts from Lightinthebox, and noticed that the colors often did not match the photos. But the last straw was when I received a shirt I ordered that had a large white slash across the front where the patterned print was missing (as if the shirt went through the dying process with this spot wrinkled). Being a naive American accustomed to excellent customer service, I assumed getting an exchange or refund would be easy.
I began their refund process and sent photos of the shirt and pointed to their online record of my purchase. Not good enough. They demanded that I also photo the box it came in and the invoice. It came in a bag which I had thrown away. I politely responded that I no longer had the box, asking why I needed to jump through hoops when they have an online record of my purchase? Who else sells this merchandise?
I was ghosted after this. No response to any email I sent to the original address.
These people couldn't care less if a customer is blown off, even when the problem is the company's fault.
Most American firms would have a final Quality Assurance process to ensure that each shirt was in excellent condition for shipping. Not this company! They just don't care.
So be happy if you get what you ordered because if you don't, you are pretty much stuck with the merchandise. Oh! Even if you make it through the Return process, they demand that you mail the defective product back to China at YOUR expense! Never again.
Rhetorical question: Doesn't this Chinese company have enough intelligence to realize this brutal treatment of customers in the USA will not be accepted? I bought a lot of things there. NEVER AGAIN! Not immediately refunding the cost of a faulty item is outrageous! Why do I have to send it all the way back, to China, so they can ship it to someone else?

Got something different from what I ordered
I ordered a mens XXXL shirt from Light in the Box on 12/18/2022, what they sent me was a completely different shirt, it was a cheap version of what I ordered, it was a dye sublimated on a white satin like material and both sleeves were 5" too short. When I complained to them they gave me 2 options, keep the shirt (which I don't want) and they will give me a 30% discount on my next order (which I will not order from them again} or send the shirt back, I pay the shipping , and they will give me a 10% discount on my next order (What!). I talked to the online support and sent them pictures of both shirts so they could see the difference, they wrote back and said they see the mistake and agreed that I didn't get what I ordered.
Desired outcome: Stop making stupid deals with me and resend the shirt that I ordered
I did answer you, I said no to all you're offers, why in the world would i rebuy anything from you, even with a discount? The only way you could honor my order would be to send me the correct shirt that I ordered, and to make sure that the sleeves are the correct length, like I said, I normaly wear an american XL, but I ordered a XXXL from you and it was still too small, so it's obvious you don't have a realistic quality control dept. to make sure your customer gets what they order. Items do not match advertised images
Really poor quality products, which do not conform to the pictures on the website:
* Cycling shorts with paper thin material and no cycling padding.
* Compression shorts with loose fit and ugly sewn-on zip border
* Cap with a metal clip instead of velcro strap
Each of these items differed in style from the advertised pictures.
Customer service just delays and says returns will take a long time, then says I have to pay return shipping costs (to China) because "there's nothing wrong with the products".

Return Shipping cost more than Shirt
I bought.a sweater from Light In a Box and it looks nothing like the picture. It's brownish black when I ordered black. It's not a sweater it's a polyester shirt. Thin material and not a cowel neck when the picture clearly shows a cowel neck not a turtle neck . I opened a dispute with PayPal and they got a resolution I'm not happy with. I'm suppose to send it back to China on my dime when the shirt was only $16.99 plus tax and it's going to cost me over $17.00 to send it back. I believe they know this and it's their loop hole not to deal with returns. Isn't there a cheaper or easier way to get my money back? Even half of it is acceptable.
